Oh my goodness, this review is overdue! So, basically--Kristin is an angel in human form. Her presence is very ethereal and her touch is heavenly! She is not only an amazing person, but she is freaking amazing at what she does! I hate that I love her so much because we always end up talking during my facials, but her hands just take you to another level of relaxation (like you just leave your body and feel like you're floating good). I've been suffering from a random outbreak of acne, and decided enough was enough. I researched places in the near area and found several, but settled on Purple Rose Esthetics due to reasonable pricing, how friendly Kristin was over text and on the phone, and I like supporting individuals who are a sole proprietor of a business. I have never had a "silk peel," before, but was recommended to get it due to my acne outbreak. First, I have to say that finding the area of the place was not a problem, but be warned to not look for a sign on the building like the others. I had trouble finding it due to the sign just being a large banner. Probably my fault for running late and not looking ahead of time. That being said, customer service is truly five stars. Friendly, hospitable, clear about what she was going to do each step, I was very pleased. The setting is spacious, clear, chic, clean, and comfortable. There was a large couch to sit on and coffee table in front of it. Another couch like armchair was across, allowing for someone to lay down. The space was separated by large fold up screens to insure privacy. Behind the screens was the actual place where you get the service done. The table is comfortable, and I was immediately at ease. Kristin let me know step my step as she went what she was doing. We had previously talked over the phone about what caused this acne outbreak, and she asked a few questions before beginning to review and confirm what I said (at least that is what I got the sense of, which is good!). She cleaned my face first, then steamed it. While my face was steaming, she did a light massage on my arms, which was very nice. Then she did an extraction of the pimples, and in my opinion I thought she did an excellent job because I am super sensitive and have a low tolerance of pain. It was mildly painful seconds at a time, but not so much that I couldn't handle it. After the extraction, she used a machine (excuse my ignorance here), that seemed to suck my face like a vacuum, cleaning it very well. She showed my the water before and after, and I was surprised to see how much dirt and things were in the water after my extraction. Apparently my face really needed this! After the vacuum tool, she used another tool that I believe she said was a high frequency tool to kill the bacteria in those pimples. It sort of reminded me of the derma wand tool that I have at home, but this one was definitely stronger and bigger! She then lotion my face, giving a light massage on the arms, and it was done. Overall very pleasant experience, and I would definitely come back again and recommend to people. Love this place! read more
