Fried Goat cheese balls

This place hits the spot every time, definitely nostalgic. I wish they bring back the fried cheese balls.

Had this place bookmarked for years, finally went for dinner this evening. Now I understand the hype! Quaint and rustic restaurant with a great menu. Delicious appetizers and the pizza satisfied my craving! The whipped ricotta on my Snow White pizza was a pleasant surprise, as well as the outstanding service. I seriously appreciate my prosecco was served ice cold - just as it should be. Can't wait to come back to try the other pizzas!

Ok so it was a lunchtime visit and for some reason it was pretty empty. I have drive by a lot of times and never gave it a second thought. Looks like a carry out pizza joint. It is a really nice place on the inside. Great decor, no tap but they do have bottled beer and wine. I ordered the pizza because that is their signature, awesome! Look at the picture, it tasted better than it looks and it looks great. We decided this will definitely make our lunchtime rotation and even though it is 14 miles from home we might stop for dinner as well.

Carry out from Nostalgia Wood Fired Oven on 27 and Van Dyke. I think it would have tasted better if we ate it fresh but we had to travel about 30 minutes before we could dig in. Still I thought the pizza was really good! Large pepperoni for the kids, small pizza saltimbocca (bacon, arugula, lemon, Asiago) was good, small AP was really good (spicy sauce, bacon, pepperoni, goat cheese), fried ravioli were lacking flavor and I would skip next time, and the fried Brussels sprouts were also very good. I'm glad I finally tried it, I would definitely visit again and try some more of the menu.

Picture this: cheesy bread that's so gooey it stretches for miles, and pizzas that make you question if you're dreaming. You'll find that here. We started off with their cheesy bread, a perfect warm-up for what was to come. Then came the main event: the pizzas. The Grandpa Tony's pizza was a classic masterpiece, loaded with all the good stuff. It's lent so I'm not having meat but this was filling! And let me tell you about the Hawaiian pizza that got a glowing review from my fiancé - it's like a luau. Perfect combo, the pineapple, ham and pepperoni. We couldn't quite finish our personal pizzas in one sitting after the bread, but no worries there. Reheating them at home was like hitting the jackpot all over again. Plus, the ranch is perfect. You need to have good ranch for a pizza and they really do provide you with that. Made sure to take some home for our leftovers. Nostalgia has won us over with its tasty menu and friendly vibes. If you're ever in Michigan and craving some seriously good pizza, do yourself a favor and swing by. You won't regret it.

I wanted to love it so much more, I would've given it a 3.5 but I had to be honest with my thoughts so I'm choosing a 3 instead of a 4. This is a place I've wanted to come for years so I was very much looking forward to it. It's just north of 26 mile on van dyke. Very close to brown iron brewing. It's a small restaurant and that's definitely part of the charm. You can see the pizza chefs doing their thing as you walk in. We had an awesome server, she made good recommendations and was very polite and attentive. They've got some good wine choices, the "I Am" cab is one I would recommend. We ordered the arancini and the tortellini bites. I would recommend sticking to the arancini or maybe trying the goat cheese bites, that one sounded intriguing. The tortellini bites were very bland and the dipping sauce did nothing to make it better. Each of us got an individual pizza; two made their own, there was one Snow White and one grandpa Tony. I love this style of pizza very much. I just can't say this tasted as good as it looked. The grandpa Tony I ordered with extra mushrooms and those could not be found on there. It just tasted like an above average frozen pizza and I hate saying that. Everyone agreed their pizza was ok. Is it a place worth trying once to make up your own opinion? 100%. And I would come back as well. But for the price of the food, I just hoped it would've been a bit better.

Nostalgia is a small, quaint restaurant with dine-in and carryout. They offer many specialty pizzas, almost all of which are appealing just from reading the descriptions. As much as we wanted to try more than one we selected Little Guy which was pretty good. Crust wasn't too thin or thick, perfect with a little bit of chew and the right amount of toppings and sauce, not soggy. Freshness of the sauce and toppings made it even better. Kayla was our server and she was excellent, friendly and attentive. Looking forward to trying some of the other pizza choices. They also have a selection of appetizing pastas, salads and appetizers to chose from as well.

Fried Burrata

Got the Snow White & Neighbour's Favourite (+ red sauce), pretty amazing. Loved how soft and fluffy the bread was with the taste of the wood fire oven; the cheese and toppings went really well with the Alfredo and roasted garlic oil sauces. Also, loved the fried burrata, rosemary bread and homemade pesto, just top notch. Can't wait to try the other pizzas and eat in next time, the atmosphere inside is great!

Great food and very cozy. Went here for a book club event and prices are fair. Great wine special that night. Parking lot is challenging.

We ordered everything from chicken sandwiches to cajun alfredo. I got the mother clucker sliders. For being sliders they were a pretty big portion. The hot chicken was flavorful and had a little kick to it. The chicken was also very tender. Overall this place had some pretty solid food. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. SUPER loud, couldn't carry a conversation with the people at our table, food was just ok, $32 for a steak that I didn't enjoy at all c it tasted like smoke, and so did my asparagus. You know when your grill catches on fire and the food gets that smoke taste, well I don't like that so I didn't enjoy it at all. Also tried the calamari, they were tender but soggy, and I'd prefer the lemon sauce instead of the mayo they served it with. The loaded fries were trashed, pretty much fries with a bunch of sour cream on top, not sure if they got confused in the kitchen and doubled the sour cream but there was absolutely no cheese on there. The only dish we actually loved was the ribs and shrimp dish from the specials menu. Our server was nowhere to be found, so service could improve a lot! Overall not sure we'd come back.

This spot is located in a strip mall tucked in between chains and other one offs. Parking is easy right in front. Do sign up for their rewards program as they send out specials and savings often. They have vast menu of baked deliciousness. I've ordered pizza and garlic knots both visits. They have Detroit style and round pizzas. Nearly everything can be made vegan and the menu is clearly marked. They have loads of toppings for omnis and vegans. The garlic knots are devine and I get them with vegan ranch. The flavors are fresh. There is a dessert case with baked goods (including vegan cookies). I just learned they opened a dessert bar two doors down and take pie orders. I have tried many, many pickle pizzas from various places and some were good and some were horrible... this one was fantastic. I really, really liked it. My wife even liked it! The pickles slices were not just thrown on the pizza whole like almost all places do, there were cut up which was a pleasant surprise and the dill weed although it sounds weird, was a great idea. The crust was not too thin, not too thick it was perfect and crispy and the sauce, I forgot what they call it, it was great. Not too overpowering and not non-existent it was perfect and had great flavor. I would definitely order this pizza again and again.
