Had a quick trip to Michigan and stumbled upon this pizza joint! We split a build your own personal pizza, which came with lots of options for toppings. Since all toppings were included, we went with spinach, onions, tomatoes, olives, peppers, and prosciutto. The crust on the bottom was a little burnt but I liked the combo of flavors and how fast it came out. You can see their wood fire oven in the middle of the open kitchen so it was also entertaining so see all the pizzas come out. The bolognese was hearty and had lots of ground meat in the sauce. Portions were on the bigger side. Thankfully the meal also included salad and we got the house salad, which came with lots of lettuce and a homemade sauce which was a little tangy and sweet. Absolutely worst place to put a restaurant, it should have stayed a party store or even a drive thru place NOT A RESTAURANT that cannot accommodate its own patrons, the parking is always full and patrons are forced to park in the dirt dead end road blocking half of the street and inconveniences those that luve there, emergency vehicles cannot even push thru without driving on lawns. Ok so it was a lunchtime visit and for some reason it was pretty empty. I have drive by a lot of times and never gave it a second thought. Looks like a carry out pizza joint. It is a really nice place on the inside. Great decor, no tap but they do have bottled beer and wine. I ordered the pizza because that is their signature, awesome! Look at the picture, it tasted better than it looks and it looks great. Still I thought the pizza was really good! Large pepperoni for the kids, small pizza saltimbocca (bacon, arugula, lemon, Asiago) was good, small AP was really good (spicy sauce, bacon, pepperoni, goat cheese), fried ravioli were lacking flavor and I would skip next time, and the fried Brussels sprouts were also very good. The glass of Montepuciano Riparosso was the perfect combination with our Four Seasons pizza, which was fantastic. This is a place I've wanted to come for years so I was very much looking forward to it. It's just north of 26 mile on van dyke. Very close to brown iron brewing. We had an awesome server, she made good recommendations and was very polite and attentive. They've got some good wine choices, the "I Am" cab is one I would recommend. We ordered the arancini and the tortellini bites. I would recommend sticking to the arancini or maybe trying the goat cheese bites, that one sounded intriguing. The tortellini bites were very bland and the dipping sauce did nothing to make it better. Each of us got an individual pizza; two made their own, there was one Snow White and one grandpa Tony. I love this style of pizza very much. I just can't say this tasted as good as it looked. The grandpa Tony I ordered with extra mushrooms and those could not be found on there. It just tasted like an above average frozen pizza and I hate saying that. Everyone agreed their pizza was ok. Is it a place worth trying once to make up your own opinion? 100%. As much as we wanted to try more than one we selected Little Guy which was pretty good. Crust wasn't too thin or thick, perfect with a little bit of chew and the right amount of toppings and sauce, not soggy. Freshness of the sauce and toppings made it even better. Kayla was our server and she was excellent, friendly and attentive. Looking forward to trying some of the other pizza choices. Loved how soft and fluffy the bread was with the taste of the wood fire oven; the cheese and toppings went really well with the Alfredo and roasted garlic oil sauces. I have heard good things about this place, I was working close by so we decided to grab a pizza for lunch. What a nice surprise, first off pizza was made perfect, just as ordered, delicious . But the young guy working there, pleasant, on the ball, good hustle. Took my order, poured drinks, made esspresso shot, bussed tables, all while being upbeat, efficient with his movements. I understand that restaurants can become busy at times; however, when staff members fail to acknowledge customers who are standing at the entrance--especially while making direct eye contact--it creates a very poor impression. We love Nostalgia's pizza. We usually get a carry out but once in a great while we dine in. The service is always top notch. We tend to order Cesar Salad and Pizza so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. Everything we see coming out of the kitchen looks great. We had 2 blips awhile back with the Michigan salad. The tomato basil soup is creamy and savory. The pizza is truly amazing and spot on with the restaurant name. The sloped floor is the only thing I didn't like at the entrance, so people that go here regularly don't be tripping. I have to get photos next time. read more

This could be the best... But just falls short I was recommended by a work colleague to try it out since they have a wood fire oven and thin crust pizza. I'm just curious why 3 why not 4 just make them smaller?.. The pizza was the main event.... That was not as good as I expected... but I'm a pizza snob. The pizza was a nice size for a large I'd hoped it was thinner and more prominent mozzarella then sauce and basil. The pizza was one or two things greasy or oil splash on top which we weren't a fan, just makes it not as fresh and airy as I feel. Was finally able to give this place a try, it was the most basic pizza I've ever had. Reminded me of MOD pizza. I'm not too sure what the hype is about this place. It was expensive for two small pizzas and some cheese bread. I would have rather had chain pizza and bread. Great looking place. Had a reservation a week ago and wasn't able to eat due to a power outage. So we went tonight! Ordered a margarita pizza and there lasagna. High expectations due to feedback from a few friends. Pizza arrived warm at best and doughy. Not what you expected from a wood fire pizza oven. Then the Lasagna arrives. It was a very large piece and looked good. Cut it in half and it was cold. Like refrigerator cold. So we asked for a hot piece and 10 minutes later came what looked like the scrap left in the pan.
