Great food , brilliant service ! Tomketsu Ramen and basil fried rice was the best. Should visit this place

This place has been serving up incredible ramen since the day it opened. Friendly staff and great food.

not an authentic japanese restaurant at all. i was disappointed as the appetizers were good but the main dishes we not. every dish that we tired had something a little off with it. we tired two appetizers being the karaage and pork belly baos. they were both yummy. the karaage was nice and crispy, not the authentic breading but still good. the porky belly baos were nice and juicy, on the small side portion wise. main entree wise, the only one worth trying is the salmon bento box. the salmon had good flavor but it was small in portion with the rest of the bento box being filler. the chicken katsu was dry and the breading was wrong. along with the sauce being just wrong. the fried rice that came with it also tasted off. the bibimbap had small portions of meat along with mushrooms that weren't enjoyable. the ramen broth was too salty but the pork belly was delicious. overall note, all the picked radish and cauliflower was unnecessary and overly vinegary. along with the pickled cucumber and kimchi, it was just too much vinegar. the service was nice and ambiance was nice, sadly the food is not worth it. read more

We were excited to try Nosu Ramen, but unfortunately most of the dishes were disappointing. The pork belly baos and the salmon bento were the only tasty dishes. The Karaage was decent but the dipping sauce was off. The pork belly ramen broth, which should be the heart and soul of any ramen place was overly salty with a weird flavor. The sesame dashi ramen was bland. The chicken katsu was dry, and the sauce was just wrong. The pickled radish and cauliflower that came with it was unnecessary and overwhelmingly vinegary. Pickling should enhance; this just assaulted. The bibimbap was less than memorable as well. Then there were the chopsticks. The cheapest wooden chopsticks imaginable - the kind that snap in unexpected places and in ways that make you question the physics of wood. A small detail, maybe, but it says something about how much a restaurant values the full dining experience. While the service itself was friendly and attentive, the overall experience didn't feel even remotely authentic. Nosu Ramen is a cute spot right in the center of downtown Golden. Their patio is nice because it's not on a busy street. We had a bit of an early dinner and happened to make it for happy hour! They had really good drink and app deals. I got the honey paloma for only $7 and the apps were half off too! I love a good happy hour! I ordered the miso ramen because it was the veggie option, and I really loved the variety of veggies they put in. It felt like a very good fall ramen with the sweet potato and squash. A fun, good food place to eat or meet friends. We went out to dinner with my son's family, and everyone ordered their new favorite dish. We started with duck bao buns. These were so full and flavorful, they didn't need the siracha-mayo sauce on them. But it added to the overall flavor. The duck was tender and juicy and the bao buns almost melted in your mouth. Our waiter was available whenever we looked for him but did not hover over the table. Very attentive. We ordered spicy chicken ramen, pork belly ramen, stir fry udon noodles, and karaage (fried chicken), Kiren (beer) draft and then there was only the sound of people slurping up their ramen. It was all good. We finished up with mochi ice cream. Each bowl had a different mix of ice cream balls: chef's choice. It was all good. Especially the mango and red bean. The interior was really cute and well done, staff were friendly and the cocktail I had was decent. The food however, was expensive Tokyo Joe's. The shrimp dumplings were basic, the duck Ramen was bland and the duck dry, and the udon noodle stir fry was overly salty and overly sweet at the same time somehow. It was something I would get at Tokyo Joes honestly. This resturant needs to work on their refriment and elevation of their food. read more

Finally got to try this highly-rated ramen spot in Downtown Golden! My partner and I were immediately seated on the outdoor patio. Inside seemed really cute, too. It's clear from the customer service and online presence that Nosu really cares about upholding a quality experience. My favorite part, however, wasn't the ramen. I didn't enjoy the Pork Belly Ramen because of the broth and the tough meat, BUT I really liked the appetizers. We were driving back from Black Hawk and grabbed a bite here. It was pretty busy - but not sure if it's usually like that or because it was new years and most places were closed. The miso butter mushrooms were super tasty, if a bit on the salty side. The ramen tasted like a Pork Tonkotsu but with a rather ethnically ambiguous name -Pork Belly (technically true). It's a small restaurant so I wouldn't say it's the best for groups of 5+ people or for people with limited/no mobility. Side note for the owners - I'm nosy, and have some feedback on staff! The staff really need some training on how to work (talk & seat) with people in wheelchairs. First, a woman was placed in a booth and clearly had a difficult time with her wheelchair fitting under the table. I'm not sure if it was the restaurant or their family that decided to have her get out of her chair & sit in the bench. This might be an ADA issue so definitely something to look at and do better... Second, as she was reviewing the menu, she had a few questions. The staff respond, but their word choices felt like they were talking down to her. she didn't take offense however, this could be seen as pretty offensive. read more

With the very capable hands of Mason in the kitchen and the staff like Ashley you will have a very pleasant experience. Everything was excellent but the new find and favorite of the night was the Sesame Braised Cabbage. Its Charred cabbage, chili crisp, lotus chip and some magic done right! The flavor was incredible! The heat perfect. Nothing too silly to make someone like me avoid it. I've never eaten cabbage prepared like this one. Genius! The Tangerine-Sake Sangria was new to me. Refreshing. Love it! I also love their Pork SoupnDumplings. The soup did it for me! The Agedashi Tofu was surprisingly very tasty! This is not the boring tofu you've been avoiding. The Tataki Tuna could be a meal in itself and was a head-turner! But if you came for the ramen by all means. Their Pork Belly Ramen featured here is loaded with big pieces of delicious tender pork. Oof it's hard to rate this one. I rounded up to a 4 because a majority of the people in my party liked their meal a lot. We, bigger party of 5, were seated quickly. It was pretty busy on a Thursday night but they are moving through tables fast. Once we ordered, I swear our food came out in 6-8 minutes. It was fast. We all got ramen, so I'm sure the broth is pretty much done, but still the speed was impressive. I got the pork belly and think my broth was very strong on ginger. It had a sweeter profile than i am used to an prefer for my ramen. Noodles felt a little thinner and harder than I'm used to, and the bamboo shoots were very chunky, again thicker and tougher to chew than I'm used to in ramen. Two people in the group got the braised chicken ramen. One person with this dish was raving about it and the other was satisfied but she has a favorite ramen place back in her hometown, so she didn't expect it to exceed that. Another at the table got the duck ramen and that was by far coolest presentation wise. It looked like a big old duck leg right on top. He was very pleased with his meal. The last person got the vegetarian ramen and was very pleased as well. Overall good experience. Appreciated the variety this place offers in terms of food and nothing beats ramen on a cold wintry night. Maybe not the absolute best, but definitely a place I would still recommend. read more

Finally a ramen place near me that's worth dining at. Been here before the COVID shutdown a couple of times, dined inside and out on the sidewalk. Ramen is a dish that is very forgiving for takeout, so I don't mind getting it to go. The menu is very comprehensive for both small plates and ramen bowls. I tried a few things from the the small plate section, and I would say my favorite were Blistered Shishito Peppers and Pork Belly Bao Buns. I've tried the Duck Ramen and the Fried Chicken Ramen, both were awesome. The broth is very flavorful and rich. Definitely a great place for ramen, especially near the foothills. The staff is always pleasant and nice to interactive with. Parking is never an issue, with street and garage parking available near by. I confidently recommend this place. read more

In my quest for excellent ramen in the Colorado front range, I finally searched in my backyard of Golden. First of all, I can't believe I've wasted the last three years by not dining at Nosu. Their slogan is "Noodles. Broth. Life." What is life without ramen, anyways? Firstly, the space. It's humble but unique, with a slight blend of Japandi and the homely western vibes of Golden. Wood tones and plants are plenty, along with fun art installations to hold your gaze perhaps longer than you intended. The staff was very welcoming and kind and efficient the whole time. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but the text-notification worked well and we went across the street to the food hall for a quick drink in the meantime. But Nosu finally texted us, and boy was it worth the wait. The menu is simple, with a few ramen options and a couple other plates, along with the typical starters. I went for the pork belly ramen in an attempt to keep it classic, and I was anything but disappointed. My egg did fall apart immediately, but its flavor was still spot on. My date's egg stayed intact, so I was perhaps subject to an anomaly. Next, the pork is tangy, sweet, even rustic. Not exactly like other pork ramen experiences, but far from a letdown. In fact, I loved the flavor profile and regretted not adding the pork bun to my order. Next time I suppose. It was also a generous serving. The woodear mushrooms were doused in something very strong, marinated in something extremely tangy and sharp. Eating one by itself was far too overpowered, but mixed in with the rest really added character to the bowl. The broth had a bit of a spicy kick, albeit welcome kick. I normally lean towards adding a bit of chili oil to my ramen, but I was able to leave it be this round. As a whole, the ramen itself was a great ensemble. Per my comments, anything can be nitpicked, but we were very pleased and I'm happy to add this to my list of repeat visitations. read more

Very tasty vegan ramen. Probably my favorite meal in Golden. The restaurant is very small and always packed. Definitely recommend for vegans. My only complaint is the lack of warm sake. They have cold sake but not warm sake. I didn't get an explanation as to why especially in a cold climate during fall and winter. read more

Literally the only ramen I had ever had was Top Ramen in a bag that tastes terrible, so I was skeptical about going here. Full disclosure - my wife probably couldn't have talked me into it if our son wasn't the executive sous chef. We ordered the pork belly bao buns and blistered shishito peppers for our appetizers, and the chef (our son, as explained above) added a complimentary order of sesame seared salmon and cucumber salad with mild chili peppers. My wife got the softshell crab ramen for her entree and said it was fabulous. I got the Spicy Beef and Broccoli Udon at my son's recommendation, and was floored by how delicious it was. Our server Grace was very helpful and sweet, and the owner Noah was pleased we stopped in. It's a bit of a trek to get here, but despite my early trepidation I'll happily return. read more

The ambiance is quaint and family friendly. The service is superb! Greeted us as soon as we walked in and no wait! However if you do have to wait, do it. It's worth it. Some of the portions are large. We started with the egg rolls old and pork gyozu. Must haves! But don't fill up! My son and I had the ponzu chicken. I could have shared the entree. I went with a party of 4 where we each got our own Ramen meal. We could have split 2 dishes as they were quite large. The spicy chicken Ramen was the most flavorful (you will be warned that it is spicy, but it is not all that spicy). The pork belly Ramen was good, pretty flavorful but could have used some spice to elevate it. The pork belly chunks were also quite fatty, so the texture took some getting use to. During our visit to Golden, I stumbled across this Ramen noodle restaurant. What a great discovery! I was feeling a little under the weather and decided a hot bowl of Ramen would be just perfect and it was. The combination of all the flavors in my Miso bowl were amazing. One of the best bowls of Ramen I've ever had. It was so good we had to go back for another visit just a couple of days later. The restaurant has great lighting and the decor is comfortable and inviting. We experienced wonderful servers on both visits. I came home after our visit to Golden and decided I wanted to have more Ramen, however, it didn't even come close to comparing to the Ramen at Nosu. read more
