I've had Japanese and Korean shaved ice before and the Taiwanese version is very different from the others. It's a little thicker and fuller so it feels more than water. But still very delicious. I have had Tropitai in person and takeout. I live roughly 30 minutes away and the way they packed the shaved ice, it was still pretty solid by the time I was home. Everything I have had from here has been delicious. My favorites are the wintermelon shaved ice and the wintermelon tea. I can't remember what fresh milk was but it was delicious. Both are very cooling and perfect after an exhausting stressful day. They're not overly sweet even with the condensed milk. Just right. I finally came in person and it's very homey and reminds me of the warmth at my grandparents with all the figurines. Service is super friendly. It's very clean and there's plenty of seating.

The crab rangoon cheese dog was my favorite thing this time. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and one of those foods that immediately makes you want another bite before you've even finished the first. The trifecta cheese dogs are always fun, mostly because you'll inevitably spend a minute stretching the cheese before actually eating it. I also had to order the kimchi fries with bulgogi because I don't think I've ever been here without getting them. They're still one of my favorite things on the menu. We also tried the Crunchwrap, which was really good, but I kept finding myself going back to the cheese dogs. More than anything, I'm just happy they have a permanent home now.
