The sushi specials were great here! The staff was extremely welcoming and had great suggestions for me. All of the rules were super colorful and tasted delicious. I would definitely come here again.

Okinawa is our local neighborhood sushi spot. The sushi itself is decent but nothing That will blow your mind. They have some cool flavor combos but the actual fish quality isn't bad isn't great it just kind of "is". What I will tell you jumped out to us was the friendly server and the edamame dish. The edamame dish is combined with an oily peppery chunky flavor profile mixed in with bits of cooked garlic. Every time we come here the consensus is that we want to lick the bowl afterwards. It's that good

A little on the pricier side for sushi but so worth it. The fatty tuna is worth it and buttery soft. I'm going to have dreams about how good the fatty tuna was. Portions were decent. Quality was high. Service was excellent. Anytime I'm near Golden, I'll stop in for some sushi or maybe just grab a fatty tuna to go.

3.5 stars. Came here for a date night with my partner before watching a show at Miners Alley. Love that everything is walking distance within Downtown Golden. Service was good. Rolls were decent. We got the Playboy, Black Dragon, and Shrek, in addition to the Dynamite, which I'm now realizing is inherently more of an appetizer than a roll. Not my favorite sushi in Colorado, and you wouldn't expect that from a mountain town anyways. Rolls seem to be on the smaller side. I couldn't resist the Key Lime Cheesecake special being promoted that day, and it was the perfect modest-sized slice of tart and sweet to end the meal. Just adding to the very mixed reviews of this place!

Great place to get some sushi! We had 4 people, 1 drink, a few appetizers, and under $150! Delicious! Also one roll not pictured!

A few people recommended Okinawa so I figured I would try it! We got the Kani Salad, which was really Good, as well as the jalapeño yellowtail appetizer. I saw great reviews about the yellowtail jalapeño appetizer, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce on it. The house salad was good but they barely gave any dressing so I had to ask for more. Got the sushi sandwich as well, asked for it without the wasabi mayo, but it came on it anyway. They were helpful and gave us one without but I went with my sister and she has specific allergies, so that was a bit concerning for us. Lastly we got the Titanic role, which was ok! For denver the sushi was pretty good but overall I'd had fresher sushi at other spots.

Great place for a good quality sushi in Golden. My server was very nice, friendly and she made sure I enjoyed my food. The restaurant is specious and perfect for big groups. If you like nigiris, I'd say their nigiris are on the smaller side except the Uni nigiri in the photo was a good portion. Due to the size of the nigiris, I'd say they are a bit pricey for what you get.

Wow. Walked into this really beautiful restaurant and seated at the sushi bar for the first time. That's my only complaint- you sit so low you cannot watch the chefs perform their artistry! And our dish of rolls and sushi was pure art. Delicious salmon and tuna sushi, rolls so beautiful you hated to disturb them. Great menu that includes- chicken, lamb chops and more. A bit pricey but fine for the service, atmosphere and fine food. We're gonna be regulars.

    Clean and cozy place!

My normal sushi place is closed on Mondays, so on a recommendation from a close friend, we decided to try Okinawa. I have to say that it was a great find. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Our server made some great recommendations and was very attentive. The sushi! The sushi! Jeez, the sushi was fantastic! AW you can see from my pictures, we had a LOT of sushi and every bite was excellent! I highly recommend Okinawa Sushi! Please give it a try and you'll see what I mean.

Good variety of roll options. The sashimi pieces were generous. Good service but parking is somewhat difficult.

The Karaage was decent but the dipping sauce was off. The pork belly ramen broth, which should be the heart and soul of any ramen place was overly salty with a weird flavor. The sesame dashi ramen was bland. The chicken katsu was dry, and the sauce was just wrong. The pickled radish and cauliflower that came with it was unnecessary and overwhelmingly vinegary. Pickling should enhance; this just assaulted. The bibimbap was less than memorable as well. Then there were the chopsticks. The cheapest wooden chopsticks imaginable - the kind that snap in unexpected places and in ways that make you question the physics of wood. A small detail, maybe, but it says something about how much a restaurant values the full dining experience. While the service itself was friendly and attentive, the overall experience didn't feel even remotely authentic. Not one of the staff were Asian which should have been an indication from the start.

My sister had teriyaki chicken with fried rice and I ordered the Katsu chicken with steamed rice. I also ordered the tempura shrimp. The food was good over all but I felt my rice was a little tepid. Served in stone dishes the food felt fresh and well presented. Now both my sister and I unknowingly had digestive disturbances later that day. I even called out sick Monday because my stomach was so upset. I didn't eat dinner that night so had to attribute my illness to the shrimp. I am sure their food is good but having that experience makes me reluctant to go back. That said it is not on my side of town. The place is clean and tidy. Worth a try.

Just a few steps down from the main food court and away from the loud noises and conversations, you can eat in peace and have a nice conversation with your friends. Mark Sushi, the name of the restaurant was named after the owner's young son, offers great options including fried dumplings, tempura, bento boxes, chicken bowls, and a large selection of sushi and sashimi. I ordered the mango avocado salad, which was filled with delicious and thinly slices of mango and avocado. This salad was very fresh! It contained fresh seaweed and leafy greens. Sesame seeds were added to the top of the salad. For $7, I don't think you can get a better salad than this one. My main entrée was the salmon bento box. The rice that was underneath these 5 pieces of salmon was very good. Along with the rice was the sauce, which gave the dish some great savory flavor, this part of the bento was delicious. My favorite? They were the pieces from the California rolls. As I ate these pieces, I loved the crunchiness from the cucumber, and the crab meat and the fresh avocado gave these 5 pieces a nice taste for my tastebuds. Oh? What about the broccoli tempura? Cooked to perfection. These florets were cooked in oil, but they were not oily. Not at all. The place is small. Perhaps no more than 25-30 diners, but the owner and his 2 staff members were very nice. He checked on us often, making sure our group is doing okay. If you are at Colorado Mills Mall and want to eat something other than some so-so food at the food court, walk toward Dick's Sporting Goods , which is Gate #5. There, you'll find a hidden gem you didn't even know. You will thank me.
