This is what stuffed eggplant is supposed to look like.
    Marie O.

"Ellen D's" review is clearly a fake review or something posted by the owners under a fake name. The stuffed eggplant dish is disgusting. Previous review was correct - it's not stuffed eggplant at all, and throwing tinned tomato sauce on top doesn't redeem it. They need to step up their game. See pic below for what stuffed eggplant is supposed to look like.

The best Greek salad around topped with loads of feta cheese, greek olives and homemade dressing.
    Ellen D.

I just got the stuffed eggplant with rice and it was absolutely delicious! It melted in my mouth, soft and easy to chew, cooked to perfection. Seated on a very generous bed of rice, I enjoyed every bite, (and will enjoy the bit I have left over, too). Like I said, the portions are generous. The sauce is flavorful, but not too overpowering. Combined with the chopped beef and pine nut stuffing, the blending of flavors is perfection. I know I'll be ordering the stuffed eggplant again. I recommend it highly. Speaking of generous portions, Not Just Thaboule is the only place I get my Greek salad from - at least once a week. The homemade dressing is out of this world! (You can buy it by the bottle...it's THAT good!) They don't skimp on anything, including the amazing amount of Feta cheese and Greek olives adorning the top. Served with plenty of complimentary pita bread, I get several meals from just one of their fresh, crisp salads. If you like Greek salad, do yourself a favor and try theirs. I've included a couple of pictures so you can see for yourself. But, don't take my word for it. Visit Joe and Deb, (wonderful, friendly people), and TASTE for yourself!

Incredible mezze plate, my toddler was too excited to wait

Incredible portions, I got the mezze platter and it was huge! As well as delicious. The gentleman who took my order was very kind and accommodating. I wanted to order something a la carte and while it's not on the menu, he was able to charge me for a la carte falafel which were very good as well. We will be back soon

Rice pilaf. No flavor, but downing in oil.

I wanted to like this place; I really did. The owner seems nice enough. The problem is the food - it is not authentic; it is not seasoned; and it is not cooked properly. Have had the falafel wrap before and it's not bad. This review is of the "Stuffed eggplant", which was not even close to stuffed eggplant. (Disclosure: I have lived/travelled all over the Balkans and have had every variation of stuffed eggplant imaginable, even the Turkish imam bayildi, and prepare it myself.) Stuffed eggplant is served in the skin; the eggplant diced and cooked with garlic; salt; tomatoes; diced meat; parsley; etc. and put back into the eggplant to roast. It's a time-consuming endeavor which is bursting with flavor, and therefore worth the $14. What I was served at Not Just Thaboule was an embarrassment - it was NOT stuffed eggplant. It was a few slices of peeled eggplant over a miniscule amount of ground meat with 4 pine nuts (yes I counted); NO seasoning of any kind whatsoever - no garlic, or even salt or pepper - over the blandest rice I have ever had. ZERO spices/seasonings of ANY KIND. I had to add salt and pepper just to make it edible. Rice was floating in oil (see picture). The menu description promises a "special sauce". The "special sauce" was CANNED TOMATOES. That's it - they didn't even bother to season the canned tomato sauce!! Most tasteless, pathetic dish I have ever purchased from a "Middle Eastern" restaurant. Reading the other reviews saying the same, I will not be back. My intent is not to be mean-spirited, but to let the owners know if they're running a restaurant they should at least know how to cook the cuisine they're offering. Stuffed eggplant may be a lot of things, but one thing it is never supposed to be is BLAND (or peeled).

The restaraunt is on a main residential street, Center Street in fact, located on the ground floor of a historic house in N Easton. Definately has a mom and pop look and feel. I drive by it when I cut through going from Roche Brothers to Shaws at 5 corners. Driven by it many times and never stopped for some unknown reason? I guess I'm not hungry and in a hurry. How dumb of me. Well today I was hungry, had time and stopped in. More than adequate parking in front or on the side especially at 2.30. Debbie waited on me and was so friendly that we chatted the whole time she was preparing my falafel wrap. It's the perfect lunch, substantial enough to be happy with half and very tasty with all the standard fixings. The tahini sauce is delish. Its a healthy and hearty wrap for sure. And with tax still under $10. Only a few miles from home I could do this more often as I loved the wrap. Not sure on the other menu items but I wouldn't hesitate and took the take out menu. The stuffed eggplant sounds good to me. Take out is pretty much it. She said they have been there 9 years now. Wow time fly's! We joked about being close to the police station and she said yes the police and fire department were big fans. I guess if there was ever a problem she's covered! As Arnold said I will be back.

The lights and the big screens are a nice touch. It was a good vibe. All the workers in there were polite and seemed like they were always on point. Now to the food. We started off with the calamari and the truffle parm bread. Both were good. The calamari had a little kick. And the truffle parm bread was truffling. Crispy and cheesy. For the main dish I had the steak tips with mash potatos and creamed spinach. My girl had the scallops and risotto. Both were slamming. The steak tips came with a chimichurri sauce that I need bottled up and sent to me asap. The scallops were a little salty but were cooked perfectly. The risotto was really good but very rich. For drinks I had mocktail and my girl had a tres leches martini which was pretty much her dessert. She loved it. All in all I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food. Good vibes and good service. Good spot to impress a significant other. I think they have function rooms and an outdoor deck as well. Check them out.

I loved that almost all the patrons (and staff) were 20-30something. I wondered how they're affording the price points and the likelihood Giana can be sustained in the area. The drinks were good--but I'm not in Boston or NYC and I don't wanna be either. All our apps were delicious with one small issue--and I feel as a Calabrian descendant , I can say that the pizza crust was flat--needed salt and lacked a yeasty rise and chewy bite. The toppings on the Mozambique rib eye were amazeballs, but the crust didn't match up. That's my suggestion to the kitchen. The calamari was deliciously spicy in the way your face tingles but you can't stop eating. The hummus platter was fresh and offered generous bread to enjoy it. The rosemary chicken wings were outstanding and perfectly seasoned. I was one $17 cocktail in before noticing they offered espresso martini flights (mentioned nowhere on the menu that I could see. You might want to lead with THIS! I'm giving 4 stars for food and service, but 3 stars for pretentiousness of pricing! I'll drink elsewhere and enjoy a more cost effective buzz!

We ordered the seafood chowder (good but no lobster...? @ 15 a bowl?) and the fried rice balls with red sauce, they were filling and flavorful, and texturally pleasing. The seafood primavera was bland. The mussels were good and the sauce was quite delicious. The chicken parm was good.

My dad got the clam chowder bread bowl and barbecued steak tips and coleslaw. Both were incredible obviously. I got the smokehouse chicken sandwich which was, again, incredible. Lastly, we split one of their specials of the day which was toffee pudding with mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was so yummy but I didn't like the texture of the bread pudding (just my own weird thing, the flavor was still great). Their portions are HUGEEEEEE so you'll definitely need to-go boxes and extra room in the fridge. I saved my appetite all day to eat here and it was most definitely worth it. The service was great, all of the staff were very friendly. We went during the lunch rush on a Saturday so we had to wait about 30 minutes for inside seating. They do have outdoor tent seating with heat but we liked the look of the place inside and really wanted to sit there. We will absolutely be coming here again soon!
