Here you can get your condoms, your dildos, your butt plugs, your crappy lingerie, and your massage oils. You can rent or buy videos and DVDs, check out their cheesy sex board games and, amazingly, feel safe. The recent remodel makes the store feel cleaner and larger. Gone are the dimly lit, sticky "video preview" booths. Replacing them is a selection of movies- far preferable! You're safe in Not Too Naughty, but it still feels faintly scummy to be in there. At Not Too Naughty you can't purchase anything very exciting- the name is all too appropriate!- but you can get your, um, needs met. My wife and I have been here several times in the past, and really enjoyed the place, but today was the last time ever. The lady working today, Sunday March 5th at 3pm, was the most rude retail employee I have ever meet. She will claim we opened a package and made it unsellable, but we did not. She called us liars, and said your on camera! We drove 1/2 hour to come to this place that should have happy, fun people working at it. It has been almost an hour now and my wife is still upset. This used to be our go-to sex shop for toys, bachelorette party goodies, lube, and what not, but lately they don't have anything! I always ask the worker in the front, "where are your stuff?" I used to shop here but not anymore. Today I went in with my infant daughter napping in a stroller. We had barely crossed the threshold when the worker told us very rudely to leave. I was shocked since I had been in this store in the past with my friend and her son until he turned 4. She told us that no one under 18 was allowed , no matter the age. I attempted to ask her when the rule was in place and she rudely told me "this establishment had never allowed anyone under 18 to enter. And she isn't 18 so you need to leave." I've been very curious about this place ever since I noticed a line outside at 9 am when I got coffee next door. The window displays are very cute. I am a big fan of Camouflage in Santa Cruz, and I'd say this place almost measures up. The service is friendly, yet not overly aggressive as some similar places can be. I once had a salesperson tell me he was saving up for a new glass "toy" and that was so TMI! The dude who was working at NTN was mellow, yet very knowledgeable. I love how there is a sex-shop in Downtown Livermore... What I love more is that it's next to a restaurant that has outdoor seating so when you walk out of the sex shop everyone stares at you and watches you walk away! Not too shabby for conservative downtown Livermore. I'm surprised they're able to get away with such a risque storefront. I've been in here several times (night and day), and all times, I've been greeted by friendly employees. Granted, they do seem to have just hired a bunch of new employees which can be frustrating when dealing with gift certificates, but other than that, I have no complaints. One guy in particular appears to work the weekdays night shift and he's really fun to talk to. He told us great stories about some of the seedier customers that come in late at night, and is always willing to help. The selection at this place isn't bad, considering the store's not exactly huge. They've got the obligatory bachelorette party type stuff up front, a decent video and magazine selection in the back, and attractive displays of toys and lubes arranged against the walls. The displays are orderly and easy to get to what you're looking for. Many adult stores I've been to have employees that will offer helpful comments or suggestions as to what you're interested in, but not so at this place, which might make this place a better choice for you if you're shy (I'm not). All in all, this is a classy and discreet adult store that doesn't make you feel like you need to wash your hands twice after touching the doorknob. read more

I came here to buy a "special birthday gift" for a girlfriend of mine in the middle of the day on a weekday. I was pretty surprised to find this type of establishment in the smack middle of Downtown Livermore. My girlfriends and I decided to walk in and was pleasantly surprised that the place was clean, non-offensive, sex shop. There were no disgusting men lurking anywhere. We selected our item, paid for it, and they packed it in a discreet bag, and we walked out. It was simple as that. Visited this store based on the reviews I saw here. The store is clean and in a very nice area of downtown Livermore. Great video selection and very well organized. The down side.............not a HUGE selection of toys, and the ones they do have are pretty basic ones. I also had to make 2 trips, based on the hours published here (M-Sun until midnight) absolutely NOT TRUE. According to the sign on the door the hours are: Mon-Thurs 10am-10pm Fri-Sat 10am-12am HOWEVER, I arrived at about 930pm on a Saturday night, and after only 15 minutes of shopping, the sales person yelled out "I'm closing in 15 minutes bring your purchases up here so I can ring you up!" The front door was already locked. I didn't ask any questions, just made my purchase and left. If you're closing early because of something out of the ordinary fine, post a hand written note on your front door or let me know when I walk in. Don't wait until I'm at the back of your store and then YELL AT ME. You could walk back like a professional and tell me. read more

It was unexpected to see such a place in the heart of downtown Livermore, but I really think it gives the place character. Not too Naught is a very lady friendly place where you can find anything from bachelorette party stuff, too fun little toys to spice up the bedroom. There is movies and magazine in the back area so even if you are a little prudish, just stay up front and you wont have to worry about it. The clerks in the store are very knowledgeable and friendly, I had tons of questions (because I am not too familiar with the product) and they gave me the answers and some. I was in here a few months ago looking at their corsets. They don't have much of a selection and no one really offered any assistance. Two employees were chit chatting at the front and I had to go ask them if they carried a particular corset in a larger size, one employee was QUICK to tell me NO (it felt like, so I would go away and they could continue their conversation) but I think the other employee realized that was pretty rude and found the corset for me in a larger size, no problem. I don't EXPECT places to have fitting rooms, they don't have one, but they did let me try something on in the bathroom at least. Didn't find what I was looking for and don't really intend on going back since I was kinda made to feel like a bother.... Do you people not want to sell things?? The store was EMPTY but business must be BOOMING if you're willing to treat customers poorly.... lol whatever. And the "open" light up sign is ALWAYS on even when they're not... Every town should have an ADULT store like Not Too Naughty in Livermore. They have an incredibly helpful staff that doesn't make you feel like your doing something wrong for going into such a store. On my last visit to the store, I was looking for a particular title amidst their vast selection of DVD's. The very knowledgeable sales person named Chris approached me and asked if he could help me find something. He not only went to the computer and looked up the tile I was searching for, but he also told me about a few more "must see's" that were of the same type. Normally, I enjoy going into Not Too Naughty in Livermore but i had the worst experience the other day (so much so that i made an account just for this). I went in looking to buy a bullet vibrator for my girlfriend, and was greeted with the normal "can I help you find anything" and so on. I went about my business browsing, but then the old lady behind the counter started swearing up a storm under her breath. I know I shouldn't have but I ducked my head around the corner to see what was going on. she was reading over some paper and i heard her start saying things like "fucking brian cant give a damn about his fucking job" and "davids such a fucking idiot". I decided I'd just buy my things and go. I picked up a cheaper bullet for my girlfriend, walked to the counter, and said I was ready to go. She got snappy with me when I asked for a bag as she was testing the toy, and then practically ripped my card out of my hand when I was about to give it to her. after that, I took my things and left as fast as I could. I can see why that other person left a bad review about her too! Its safe to say I wont be coming back if that lady is gonna be there! read more

Called to find out if their system was tied in with another book stores in SF and the bay area. We like to rent movies & buy the little things that helps make love nicer. I had a very difficult time giving her my last name. Dominique hung up on me & took forever to answer the 2nd time I called. She claimed I was yelling at her when I wasn't she was very rude. Their prices are VERY expensive, not to mention they have little in the way of safe toys NOT made in China. My wife & I will take the drive to Secrets in Oakland on Jack London Square than drive the mile and half to this place!!!
