I live an hour away so I used Yelp and found this flower shop. I drove there and found a table blocking anyone from walking further than two feet inside the door. I don't see any cases filled with prearranged flowers, but several large containers of loose flowers. I was meeting my Mom in one hour and wanted to bring a bouquet or arrangement to give her. A woman behind the counter comes out and tells me 'no- I can't make a bouquet for you- have to order online'. I said 'all I want is a casual bouquet or arrangement- can't we put one together from all the loose flowers in that cooler? pointed to cooler full of flowers). She again says 'no, sorry.' I asked if she could please tell me where I might pick up a bouquet around here- even a grocery store?' She again says 'No, I'm sorry, I have no idea'. I walk outside and look around. There is a Walmart Neighborhood Store not 100 yards away. I hate Walmart, but I went in and bought two bouquets of roses out of need and no extra time to try and find another real florist shop. As I walked back to my car I popped back in to the shop and the same lady came out. I said 'Hi! Me again- I found some flowers next door, but the wrapping is ugly. Pleasanton Flower shop did my wedding flowers! I know nothing about flowers so I was completely open to suggestions. Millie (the owner) was amazing! I told her my colors and explained the theme of our Autumn garden wedding and she immediately shared ideas and suggestions. After our brainstorming session, I was confident I would have the "Perfect" flowers ...and I was absolutely right!!! They were extremely flexible too! I had a cross that I wanted to be part of the centerpiece on the alter and I was able to drop it off at her shop in advance so she could set it up on the day of the wedding with the rest of the flowers, fully decorated to match our wedding flowers! They also travelled all the way to Monterey for us. It was worth paying a little extra to have a florist located close to home so I could drop bye whenever I had a new idea... which turned out to be often!! Millie is incredibly creative and talented. The flowers she used were of the highest quality. She managed to make the most of our tiny budget too! I've been to weddings with 3 times the flower budget that we had ...and they looked embaressing in comparison to ours!!! Millie really knows which flowers to use to compliment your color scheme but stay within the budget while not looking cheap in any way. My family thought I spent THOUSANDS on our flowers!!! It's just Millie and my little secret that it was so cheap!! :) Consequently, we never go anywhere else for blooms. My husband had two dozen long stem yellow roses (my favorite!) delivered to me at work for Valentine's day. He requested they be delivered three days early so I could enjoy them at work for longer, and they arrived accordingly. What was shocking though: All the other girls who recieved flowers delivered from other area florists, ON THE MORNING OF VALENTINE'S DAY, had drooping buds by the end of the business day!!! Mine lasted four days!! And were only partially bloomed when I took them home!!! No withering or wilting at all!!! My boss actually asked for the name of the florist so they could use them for events and orders from now on (and to share with my coworker's boyfriends when they call and ask her to suggest a local florist!!). She got me some nice peach colored flowers that really looked unique and nice. Price seemed high for just 3 flowers like $16 but it came with a vase. I paid "40 dollars" for a bouquet filled with carnations and daisies. It wasn't even presented nice. I'm getting married in a few months and really stressed out about finding a florist. We have a huge wedding and bridal party, and our flower budget was a little paltry. I found this place while driving by it (it never showed up in any of my online searches). I decided to drop in and chat with the owner, Milli. She was super friendly and willing to negotiate her prices, offering discounts for larger quantities. We decided to use her for our bridal party flowers (bouquets, corsages, etc). We researched all over the place and couldn't find anyone for a better price-- not even close. Her centerpiece selection wasn't as extensive as I wanted (I had an exact vision in my head). Since it's a small shop, it would have been way too expensive to make what I really wanted. Not her fault though. If you want a simple centerpiece i'm sure she can handle it. Since my wedding hasn't happened yet, I can't give the 5th star until I see the actual product, but based on my meetings with her, I have a feeling it's going to look great. We chose Milly as our florist for our wedding this past weekend and that was the best choice we could have made. I was a bit worried about how the flowers would turn out since the arrangements in her store were not the look we were going for. My husband and I found a few pics online and gave them to Milly hoping for something comparable. When we arrived to the ceremony, my jaw dropped. The bouquets, centerpieces, guest book table and everything looked amazing. All of the bouquets were better than the pictures and all of the flowers were as fresh as could be. I am still getting daily compliments on the flowers. I still have my bouquet and the flowers are just starting to wilt. Honestly, Milly could not have done a better job. I can not thank her enough. I called ahead to ask the lady to put Tulips on hold for me. When I got there there was one man in line. As soon as he was gone I told them my name and the flowers that were on hold for me. Tons of cute arrangements and nicknacks to purchase and if you are unable to find at least one thing you do not like, something must be wrong with you. This florist has never let me down. I've ordered wreaths for two funerals here as well as a lei for a graduation party for my daughter. I don't think they are even open on Sundays, but I showed up late on a Saturday wanting last minute flowers for a party the next day, and the owner of the shop came in on Sunday morning just to have my order ready for me. So she either stayed late on a Saturday or arrived early on a Sunday to help me. When you shop there, you really feel like they appreciate your business. She was super accommodating with the time frame in which it could be delivered to my sis's home. My sister was overjoyed with her surprise! She was over the moon with the look and the fragrance! To me, it resembled the arrangement item that I had selected, but was no where 'just like it'. It was absolutely beautiful though! Millie is amazing! I ordered fuchsia orchids dyed blue for my wedding bouquet. They came out gorgeous! I have gone here for many occasions when flowers are needed. Although the ownership has changed from hand to hand, it still is just a perfect location and interior layout for a floral shop. The change in ownership from the past has never affected the quality of the service, professionalism, or quality of the product. Giving the florist three descriptive words for the occasion that I needed flowers for, she promptly put together a few ideas which were all very good suiting my needs. Flowers are displayed in eye view distance and her preparation table was also accessible to the customer, allowing me to see the process and also make small changes according to my vision and taste. The old shopping center where it is located needs some updates but I could never hold that against the shop owner, only against the property owner.
