The quality is overall great but the service was absolutely horrible. I ordered a birthday cake for my son and as I was requesting for 12 candles the young man on the phone ensured he would put them in. When I went to pick it up I didn't see the candles and proceeded to buy candles thinking they might've just forgotten it but the young man that helped me on the phone yet again ensured that the candles were in there. I thought it might've been at the bottom so I trusted him and left without getting them. Only for it not to be in there. It absolutely ruined our day. read more

Great cakes as always! I like trying the different pop up flavors. Some of my favorites are the White Chocolate Raspberry, Pineapple Upside Down, and Key Lime. I especially enjoy the mini cupcake flavors. Today I was finally able to get the Banana Pudding. Inside is always fresh and clean and the staff for the most part are welcoming and friendly. I called and was placed on hold for ten minutes. When someone responded, it was a different person who seemed annoyed, while I, the person on hold, had been waiting for ten minutes. She nonchalantly said, "Hmm, what did you need?" I asked if there were still coconut cakes, and she replied yes. I may not be able to get one if I wait too close to Christmas. I could pick one up, and it will freeze well. The next day, I arrived, and there were no cakes. Apparently, they hadn't made any from the start. There were 4-5 teenagers at the register who were not very attentive nor did they create a welcoming environment. It's a unique service in the area, but customer service is lacking. Just get your cake and go to service. It's not their pleasure. The 3-star rating is because most of the cakes are delicious. My advice is to order online. read more

The staff are pleasant but a but lagging, especially with how quickly busy it gets. It would be nice if they had more staff available to work the early morning and lunch time rush of customers. While there is a pick up area for delivery services, it would be more convenient and efficient if there was a walk up counter for online pick up orders designated... those customers pay their order and a service fee for the convenience but having to wait in the general customer line can get to be lengthy. read more

These Bundt cake are absolutely craveable!!! The simple but delectable Bundts can easily be overlooked at first glance but once you try then you'll never see them the same again! The icing is heavy and SWEET which compliments the dense cake itself very well if you are looking for an indulgent treat. We have used this company for our engagement party treat table and it was a hit!!! People still talk about those "cute mini Bundt cupcake" type things we had at the party and of course the 2 tier full sized Bundt cake. If you want to go bananas for bundt cakes, then this is the place for you. Growing up, bundt cakes were nothing special, until the invention of Nothing Bundt Cakes. You've never had a bundt cake until you've had one from here! They are decadent, moist and extremely delicious. You can't just buy one. Not only do they have the minis, but they also have a small and a large cake bundt. I've been really impressed with this store during the pandemic. There have been notices on the door (before you enter) that they only allowed so many people in the store at once. They have stickers on the ground, directing you where to stand, so you are not too close to the person in front of you or behind you. It's quite nice. Customer service has always been great and I've always been happy with the product itself, when I bring it home. There are so many cute things in the store that I'd love to have at home, from cake trays to mugs and of course every bundt/bundtlet in their glass case. This is a very busy shopping plaza, so sometimes parking can be a hassle. So you may want to have someone drop you off, then pick you back up, if you come on a busy weekend day. Another national chain that you shouldn't just write off. The service at this location is like a well-oiled machine. I went in for a couple of bundtlets, and was served super promptly. In less than 2 minutes, I'd had a sample of the latest craze, got my cakes, paid, and was out the door. Later, I thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate cake I got. So moist and delicious! Nothing Bundt Cakes is truly one of my favorite sweet shops in Baton Rouge! All of their cakes are simply delicious and very reasonably priced. My favorite is the marble but my wife loves the white chocolate raspberry. We also like to try their limited time special flavors which change monthly (I think). The cakes are always very moist but not mushy so they are easy to eat without making a mess. They also do a great job with holidays... I've gotten a special cake for Valentine's Day and my wife loved it! The service at this location is always great. You're always greeted in a welcoming manner and if you have any questions, the staff is always willing to help. I do wish the customer lines had some definition though as it's really hard to tell who is waiting in line versus just browsing the store or thinking about what to buy. The cakes are absolutely fabulous but they still need work on the point of order system. I've been 3 times and twice they've messed up the order. Granted, the store is busy so I take that into consideration. It's hard to check the order because it's packed before they hand it to you. Looks like I'm not the only one with a problem with the customer service at this location :( I spent an hour yesterday on their website trying to place an order but kept getting error messages that the flavor I selected wasn't available until after 5/22/23 (which I would have believed except that it was on every single flavor). I finally called the store to find out if I could order over the phone. I was told they were no longer taking orders of any kind and everything for the remainder of the week was first come first serve. So I drove to the location (46 miles roundtrip) only to be told they had ONE 10" cake left to sell that day. Got up the next morning and was on their doorstep within 10 minutes of opening (another 46 mile round trip) only to be told the "first come first serve" was YESTERDAY'S rule. Today they were ONLY accepting pre-orders and had nothing to sell walk in customers. It will be a L-O-N-G time before I bother with this establishment again. read more

They took my wife's order for gluten-free cake, accepted advance payment but but could not fulfill it and wanted to substitute it with something that was not gluten-free even after I told them that she has Celiac disease. Then they promised they would text a copy of the receipt with a refund for hers becuase the machine was not working and they have not refunded us. I finally got to visit Mrs. Novack's amazing little shop! I have heard so many great things about this place from my family and fellow Runnels Alumni, and today I got to try it for myself. We purchased a box of the 12 minis and took home for dessert -- they were heavenly! I tried the chocolate and the lemon and both were so light and moist. I cannot wait to go back and get more!!! Huge family hit-- all the at down to the 2 year old who enjoyed every bite of her lemon one!! I do recommend calling ahead of you want a large cake as they need a days notice but other than that you can almost always get the minis and each day they have a selection of small ones that could be for one or two people.
