    Fresh Strawberry Cake
    Missy K.

The Ambrosia Bakery on Siegen Lane has some of the best desserts in Baton Rouge. My all-time favorite is their fresh strawberry cake. It's always incredibly moist, full of real strawberry flavor, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The service is consistently great, with a friendly team that makes every visit enjoyable. If you choose to dine in, the cozy café-style atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy something sweet.

Best and most beautiful special event cakes in town! White almond cake with buttercream frosting is divine The bridal luncheon cake they created for my DIL was phenomenal. Everyone raved about it!

Ambrosia is truly a Baton Rouge staple. I've ordered just about every birthday cake over the last 8 years from them. The quality and taste is consistent. The ordering process for custom cakes is really seamless! And they can create just about anything you like. They also made my wedding cake 3 years ago! I will be a life long customer. If you haven't experienced Ambrosia, definitely try their signature strawberry cake! It's top tier for sure!

A dessert lover's heaven.. myself included! From doughnuts to cake pops to cannolis to bread, Ambrosia literally has it all, and you don't even need to order ahead because all of this was in the case! Right on Siegen, this is the perfect location for a bakery in my opinion. It is a huge building with plenty of parking, and you can see it clearly from the street unlike most bakeries. I went at 8:30am on Saturday, and there were customers! I didn't wait in a line because they were tons of employees working, which I really liked. I just wanted to pick up some late Valentines treats for some friends, so I just wanted a treat box. Everything was displayed perfectly and prices were easily read. Again, so many options to pick from. I ended up going with this huge brownie thing, two cookies, two cake pops, and a cream puff. I thought I was going to break the bank, but man I was wrong. All of this was under $20 and was ready when I was done deciding what I want. I was so pleasantly surprised. They also had treats displayed around the store if you didn't want to pick out of the case. For wedding cakes, they have their own part of the store! They did a really good job organizing this bakery and making room for everything. I will totally be back with an empty stomach haha.

I had the best experience ordering my son's first birthday cake from Ambrosia! After several guests canceled, they were quick and kind in helping me adjust my order. On top of that, they called me back after noticing I ordered a small cake as a smash cake and let me know they offer one for free for first birthdays. Such thoughtful service. On top of that, the cake was exactly what I wanted--simple, beautiful and delicious! My guests loved it. Highly recommend the yellow cake with a chocolate buttercream filling and white icing. Exactly what a birthday cake should be! Beyond pleased--we will continue to use Ambrosia for our celebrations.

Stopped in today and the jambalaya quesadilla was incredible. Haven't tried my baked goods yet but grabbed a few for the road. Can't wait to make my way though the menu.

I hate writing negative reviews because the cakes at Cake Goddess truly are delicious. However,…read moretheir customer service and policies have completely changed my mind about ever ordering from them again. I placed an order on a Thursday for a very simple 8-inch cake -- no fondant, just basic icing. Only two hours later, I called to change the pickup date and was told the "process had already been started," so absolutely no changes or refunds could be made. For such a simple cake order, that response felt unreasonable and inflexible, especially given how quickly I called back. A little customer service and understanding would have gone a long way. It's disappointing because the quality of the cakes is excellent, but policies like this make customers feel unvalued. Unfortunately, this experience will keep me from ordering from them again.

On the phone, the girl asked me how many people were going to be there and which 5 flavors of cake we would like to try. She also asked me where the wedding venue was (so I assumed at this point that they would deliver.) I did explain this was going to be a custom cake, and it would only be me at the consult, and that I only needed the two flavors (almond w/white and yellow w/chocolate.) When I arrived, I sat down with the consultant who brought over two cupcakes (almond w/white and yellow w/white - which was NOT correct) but, no big deal - I know their cake is good. Then she proceeds to pull out wedding cake sample books. I explained again that I did not want a traditional cake, but a custom cake and began to show her the design. At that point, she seemed less than interested, and explained they do not do edible images, so I pivoted and gave her another design that they could do with piping and fondant. She didn't give ideas, she didn't offer solutions, she just sat there like she was bored. She then told me that they would not deliver a cake that was not three tier or more. So I was supposed to come and pick up the wedding cake while I was in the middle of getting ready for a wedding? Why even ask for the address then? At this point, I decided to just go elsewhere. The attention to detail was poor, and the enthusiasm for a sale was poor. I also suggest that when scheduling a wedding cake consult that one say up front that there is no delivery (I would have even paid extra. Price was not the issue.) If I had know that, I wouldn't have wasted my time or money.

The ube ice cream however was solid, with a mild and lightly sweet earthy flavor similar to taro or matcha. 8/10 recommend especially if you've never had bingsu or ube.
