Picked up two boxes of bundtinis today. One as a gift and the other I kept for me. I was a bit disappointed when I got home and opened the box because one of the cakes was missing the frosting. It made me wonder if the one I gifted was missing something too. The assorted boxes are sealed with a sticker and there's no way to check what's inside. You have to trust that there's 3 of each flavor and not missing any frosting. This one was a fail. Otherwise, the cakes are delicious albeit pricey. Update: Owner fixed the problem. The White Chocolate Raspberry is their best flavor!!! This is the only flavor I order every single time with lemon coming is second. I was never a fan of bunt cakes as the ones I have tried before were too thick and dry. Having tried the cake at a friends gathering has changed my mind. Each cake you can see the flavors and chocolate pieces mixed in. They have absolutely the best bunt cakes - creamy and moist. When ordering each one you can easily identify what they are as they taste exactly the flavors described. These are not overly sweet even the icing is not overpowering as they do not drench the cake with it. I always order the mini bunt cupcakes these are always a hit at kids birthday parties. I mix the flavors and add the "happy birthday" topper on each cake to make it presentable. Each cupcake has a sturdy holder which helps keep the shape and prevents it from getting smash. The boxes that these comes in are decorated with their logo in the front. These are good for about two days in the fridge after that they get hard and stale. Walking-in the store all the bunt cakes are displayed inside a cold display case. They clearly mark the flavors in front of them along with the price. During each season they have special flavors that are on sale for about a month. If you need cake supplies and candles they have some for sale along with small birthday presents. It's the day before Mother's Day I have been coming here for a long time now turned my whole family onto this place. I called to place an order for a cake for my mom and one for my son and I was treated so sarcastically and rudely on the phone. I just couldn't believe it and the girl wasn't even answering my question she was just being a complete smart ass and rude about it forgetting that we are customers and we shouldn't be talked to in a sarcastic way for asking a question that was actually a legitimate question. I asked her if I can place an order and she said no they were no longer taking pre-orders like the recording had just stated. it was first come first serve And then I asked her if they were still decorating and she said no in a sarcastic voice that she just said they were busy And it was on a first come first serve basis And they were not decorating cakes they would sell the decorations if I need them. Then I asked her if they were wrapping them At least in plastic Cellophane like they sometimes do when I buy regular cakes, and she sarcastically said again like I said we are not decorating cakes they're in a box. Then he said first of all you don't have to be rude and sarcastic I'm asking a legitimate question second of all there's times that I bought regular cakes and they were wrapped In cellophane Just like that or in box other times. I know it's busy but you don't have to be a smart ass to people asking questions because I've never come across this I've always just ordered over the phone easy I didn't mind coming in I was just asking simple questions and getting smart sarcastic answers like if I was some type of idiot and she had to repeaterself what she said was they were in decorating I have nothing to do with the packaging. Anyhow by the time I got here I asked to speak to that person who is a complete smart ass and they just decided to pretend like they had no idea who answered the phone no real apology or anything they just listen to me horrible customer service, I've been doing customer service at my fathers business since I was a kid and I don't treat people like that it doesn't matter if they live pour off the street or if they look rich driving a Ferrari it doesn't matter. Their cream cheese frosting is my absolute favorite and it will be yours too! This place is awesome for special occasions, I usually end up here last minute and I've never had an issue. However, there are plenty of other bakeries with good or even better tasing cake plus nice staff who's willing to make your experience a positive one. 2-3 stars for the service. The lady who took my order was rude and she was only focused on taking the credit card from my hand. When you go to Nothing Bundt Cakes, keep in mind that you'll only be getting the cake (bread and light frosting) only. They will not give you utensils, cake cutting knife, candles, let alone a simple "happy birthday" writing on the cake, unless you pay $ for it (~$10 on top of what you initially came in to get, cake). Every time I asked if they have cake decorations, candles...etc the lady pointed and said "we have them", period. I had to ask again to confirm if it's for purchase. I absolutely love Nothing Bundt Cakes, but especially the Brea location! I used to live and work in the Brea/Fullerton area so I was thrilled to hear that NBC opened a shop nearby back in 2014. Although I no longer live or work in that area, I still come back to this location whenever I can. Their staff is always so helpful, the shop is very clean, the cakes consistently taste delicious and look perfect. They're great for events as well. I've used their bundtinis for work gatherings, bundtlets for small prizes at my sister's baby shower, and full size bundt cakes for my birthday party. I've always placed my orders online and they execute without a hitch. My favorite flavors are red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, and chocolate chocolate chip. Came in here earlier today to buy some bundtlets for a friend's birthday and they had some Peanut Butter Chocolate bundts out to taste. It was heavenly! The reviews about this place are all right-- moist, creamy, best cake ever!! I got 2 Red Velvet and 2 White White Chocolate. I regret not getting the Lemon but I know Im bound to try every flavor someday anyways because I know I will definitely come back! The staff here is friendly, if you know what you want, get you on your way pretty quickly. The storefront is really nice too. I can't think of a cake here I've tried and didn't like. The lemon and pumpkin spice are all kinds ridiculousness. When it's my birthday I ask for this- don't bother baking me something or being different, just go here. It's also worth the money- this cake is filling and goes a long way, which is great because you know you'll have leftovers the next day. They are literally my go to every time I need a quick birthday cake for my fam or I grab a couple boxes of minis for a treat for my coworkers. We love this franchise and order here for every occasion . I called to order my moms memory cake since today would've been her birthday. Last year the owner offered me a substantial discount because I shared with her that my mom had passed away and we buy here every year when she was alive. Unfortunately had to deal with a rude male on the phone. Instead of looking into it he decides it best to pick apart my story as to how I spoke with the owner. Now I usually give good reviews BUT let's talk about some of the short comings of this place. They usually hire kids that frequently are difficult to even get to look up from their phones to order. Or they're busy talking off to the side like a little high school clique. There is never a customer service atmosphere, usually a very curt transaction almost as if they're doing you a favor for having cake. These places are popping up everywhere.
