I love that The Classic Cupcake lets you make your own cupcake, you pick your cake, frosting, and toppings, and it honestly feels like dessert turned into a little creative project. I went with a chocolate base, cream cheese frosting, and cookie crumble topping... and it was perfect. Fresh, moist, and exactly how I wanted it. But the real star for me? Their churro coffee. Oh. Their lemon cupcakes are TO DIE FOR and the churro ones are amazing also! Those are the only two flavors I've tried so far but they are 2 for 2 on deliciousness! I clean them out of lemon cupcakes each time I visit. :) I usually see a guy working there (I believe he said that he was the husband of the owner?) and he's always so friendly and nice! It was the day before my birthday and I was craving sweets. I was searching for cupcakes and this was the first thing that popped up in my feed so I had to check them out! As soon as I entered the shop, I was greeted right away. I had asked what her favorites were and they pretty much aligned with what I had in mind. I couldn't pick just one or two so I went with their mini flight that included 4 of their cupcakes to try as a sampler for next time. I went with their red velvet, chocolate coconut, lemon, and funfetti. They were all good but the red velvet and lemon were extra amazing. I was also going to stop by somewhere on the way home to get coffee but they had drinks available here so I decided to give them a go. The woman working was raving about their beans saying how good they were so I got an Iced Americano to go. The Americano was solid and definitely in my top 10. That's saying a lot since I've been to every coffee shop in the area and then some. This spot has quality cupcakes and provides excellent customer service. The shop is well decorated, it's warm and inviting just like its owners who were so sweet and helped answer all of my questions at the counter! I went into the shop (which is super cute and very well kept), and talked to Sarah about my vision for the cupcakes - custom cupcakes with little icons on top representing the birthday boy. She took some notes and told me she would have them ready the following week. I picked up the cupcakes at the day and time we agreed on and they were PERFECT!! Stopped by The Classic Cupcake last night. Right when I walked in I was greeted by the girls at the counter. They had a complimentary charcuterie cart which was so yummy. I loved the decoration and the colors in the store. The owners went around and interacted with everyone which was nice. They have a build your own cupcake, cookies, brownies, lattes. This looks like the same place that is opening in Yorba Linda, so this is my review. Not quite officially opened yet, but saw on TikTok that they have the soft opening happening. Being a cupcake/cake connoisseur I had to go and try. I had seen this place was opening soon and by the name and the picture on the window I did not think this place was going to be any good. It's a good thing i still opened the book after judging the book by its cover! I went in and the atmosphere is pleasant bright and esthetically pleasing. This place feels like a place you can go and hang out with your friends and relax. The owner and employee were super friendly and sweet. I only ordered two cupcakes as I just wanted to get a feel for the place. The basic confetti/vanilla are a solid way to figure out whether a bakery is worth going again. So I ordered a confetti and a pecan pumpkin spice cupcake. The confetti is simple, but cute. Who doesn't like a good sprinkle! I would say it was a little on the sweeter side, but best believe it has its purpose when you need that cupcake for comfort! I am always worried about the pumpkin spice, but thought it looked pretty good. All I can say is wow! This stole the show. It's truly perfection . It's wasn't over-spiced and the pumpkin flavor was just right. And the pecan addition took it to another level. I feel like pecans are an underused nut, so I appreciated it being in this wonderful cupcake.
