My family's first time trying the banana pudding from this shop! We definitely enjoyed the taste. I didn't think it was too sweet. It was just the right amount of wafers and bananas for my liking. Shop is located in downtown fullerton area. There is plenty of parking on the street or in a nearby lot

When the cookie is so good, you forget to take a photo until you're halfway. (Chocolate chip cookie with red velvet inside)

SO good. Service also kind and knowledgeable. 11/10 for YUM factor I got cookies and told myself to share them with my family. I took a bite of one and immediately didn't want to share it. I took a bite of the other and also didn't want to share it... I've decided the only solution is to get more cookies at a time here. LOL!

Little bakery in downtown Fullerton. It's kind of off the beaten path. If you didn't know it was there, you could miss it. They are known for their cupcakes. So, naturally I had to try some of those! I wanted to try the champagne flavored cupcake and the Oreo cupcake. I liked the champagne flavored cupcake more than I thought I would. I think the frosting was really what brought it to life. The Oreo was solid all around! The chocolate cake, frosting and pieces of Oreo cookie on top, were fantastic! I would recommend these cupcakes to anyone. Now the cookie was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend that. I ordered the red velvet chocolate chip cookie. It was very gimmicky. Sure, it was cool to see the red in the center. Other than that though, it was a disappointing experience. The cookie was a bit dry and not exciting like I had hoped. Service was good. She was sweet and patient while I picked out what I wanted. Ambiance was slow, it was empty inside.

From an avid baker, this spot is pretty good. Not amazing, but their cupcake gets the job done $17.25 for the following 1 cookie 1 cupcake 1 banana pudding (feeds 3-4) $8 Vanilla cupcake with choco frosting 4/5 Cupcake part isn't mind blowing, but pairs well with rich choco frosting. It's moist, but not super flavorful. Also not too sweet, but you only need milk bc the choco hits you in the face lol quite satisfying if you feel the craving! The frosting is much richer (than TJ sheet cake) and slightly dense (unlike Swiss meringue) Pumpkin spice cookie butter banana pudding 3/5 $8 First time having theirs! A bit too whipped for me, I prefer a denser pudding. One container feeds 3 people at least! Flavors aren't too sweet and pumpkin spice cake is moisssttt. I've had better at home lol Snickerdoodle 3/5 Smitten kitchen recipe is better. I do like the thickness of the cookie, but in terms of flavor it's ok. Also not too sweet! Service I asked for suggestions and the girl was very thorough! I was in and out and was able to park right in front of the bakery.

It's my lucky day, was wondering around and stopped in and they had BOGO free cookies?

Ooohh so I owe this place a updated review since I was introduced to their banana pudding by a very good friend back in November 2025? We just finished dinner at Slice nearby and walked back to our cars in and walked by Hapa when my friend asked if I tried their banana pudding. I said, no, I wasn't a fan of their cupcakes when I tried it years ago. She urged me to try their banana pudding so I did and now I'm a regular. Besides their banana pudding, I think I had banana pudding from Lucille's and I did not like theirs at all and just swore off banana pudding all together, but Hapa's banana pudding is SO GOOD. Literally nothing like it in the area and it's the perfect sweet treat for $8 and some change. It's available in their fridge to-go and it's a dollar off on Wednesday's I believe? I stopped in yesterday and saw the biscoff cookie banana pudding and asked the cashier if she tried it and she said it's her favorite one. It's next level for sure. I know the whole biscoff cookie cheesecake trend is happening right now and I highly recommend the biscoff cookie banana pudding. If you're debating to get ice cream for dessert or this banana pudding, I'd go with the banana pudding.

Hapa Cakes & Bakery is a popular spot known for their amazing cakes, pastries, and pudding! This spot is located in Downtown Fullerton where there are some parking lots nearby or street parking all around the area. Inside, they are a smaller shop with a couple of tables outside for seating. They have an amazing selection of different cookies, pastries, cakes, and puddings to choose from. Wifey and I opted to try the Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookie and one of their Banana Puddings. Everything was decadent and delicious! Overall, we are glad we got the chance to check this spot out. We had been getting so many suggestions to try this spot, so it was nice to finally stop by. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend trying their banana pudding. There is a reason why this spot has over 1,000+ positive reviews!

Shrinkflation!!! Been coming to this bakery for years for their cupcakes. The staff is always friendly and the shop is clean. Haven't been buying for over 11 months and was surprised to see the size and the quality decline. The size of the cupcakes have decrease, and the taste is also not as rich. It's crazy there are still charging $4.50 per cupcake I finish one cupcake in three bites. Very disappointed don't think I'll be coming back until they make some changes with the quality

UPDATE: i ate half of it and i had the biggest headache and stomachache. i don't know how much sugar they put in it but ive never felt this sick from dessert before. banana pudding: 7/10 not bad, it's pretty good but the only thing is the flavor, ingredients, texture is something i can make at home, if not better. the pudding just tastes like banana jello powder which is something i can just get myself. the container is quite filling and big for $8. service was quick and friendly. it was not crowded at all and it was quiet. overall, i wouldn't get it again because again i can just make it at home even better.

Came specifically for the Banana Pudding I keep hearing about. It did not disappoint! It's rich without being too sweet. Flavorful and just so good! This was a quick stop and order to go, but I will be by again soon for sit in and to try other things that looked really good!

Amazing. Delicious. Decadent. I tried hapa bakery on a Saturday night and they still had plenty of choices but definitely a lower stock. Their banana pudding is extremely good and on the thicker side. It isn't too sweet with an initial 1-2 bites but as you continue eating, it will become sweeter so I had to take multiple breaks from it. I was recommended the cookie butter frosted cookie and chocolate raspberry which I enjoyed both. The price is okay, a little more on the higher side.

Wow! Everything looks soo delicious that i can not choose. There's many flavors to choose from and so hard to choose between cookies, puddings, and cupcakes. Looks like they have customized cakes as well. It all looks like it is made with love. I decided just try two things: banana pudding and the red velvet cake filled chocolate chip cookies. The banana pudding filled with real bananas and vanilla wafers. Yummm! That first bite got me dancing in my seat, closed my eyes and enjoying all the goodness.. Nom! Nom! Nom! Yesss get it!! 5/5. The red velvet filled cake chocolate chip on the other hand. I love me some original classic chocolate chip and I love red velvet cake..I love this good mash up. But...... I will say that the red was overwhelming. It was BRIGHT. There seem to be lack in flavor in the red velvet itself. Honestly, i couldnt taste the red velvet. Its more of cake batter with red food coloring. The cookie was great. It was soft and melts in your mouth. So I will have to take a star off. I love this combo that i am still willing to try again in hopes that the one is just the bad of the bunch. 3/5. Customer service was great, friendly, and welcoming.5/5. Overall, definitely worth checking out, and I'll be back to try more treats.

Ask the Community - Hapa Cakes & Bakery

Is there a nutritional guide or at least a rough estimate of how many calories for a cupcake?

Is this a nut free facility?

Hello need to reach out to the cupcake bakery and confirm with them I'm pretty sure they need some type of form of nuts

Where are the gluten free options?

They have keto cookies (but they're not vegan)

Is there actually any alcohol in any of the cupcakes or cookies?

Hi Chris! Yes, from what employees have told me, they use kahlua and other alcohols in their desserts. However, the alcohol bakes out of course, similar to the effect of cooking with white wine. All that is left is the flavor from each particular…

Which flavors do they have for wedding cakes?

    A variety of flavors..

How long can we leave cupcakes out before we need to refrigerate them?

Do you deliver? I'm looking to send some birthday cupcakes to a friend. Would pick up deliver myself but don't live in the area

no - but they're on doordash / grubhub / postmates

Are there any vegan options for their cupcakes?

Is everything vegan or just certain selections?

Hi there! We offer vegan and gluten free options but most of our bakery is not vegan.

Do they carry vegan gluten free cupcakes?

Hi yes they carry gluten free cupcakes and Keto cookies too.

    Do you offer gluten-free options?

Hi there! And yes! We offer gluten free cupcakes, cookies and cakes :) We highly suggest preordering as well sell out fast. Gluten free cakes must be preordered 1-3 weeks in advance depending on customization.

I heard you all bake Keto desserts is this true?

Hi there! And yes :) we offer keto chocolate chip cookies.

Do you guys do buttercream frosting?

Hi Haylee, We use a Swiss buttercream for the outside of most cakes and for a few cupcakes. Most cupcakes are made with a cream cheese frosting base :)

Do you have any keto desserts?

I know they offer keto cookies. I'd call to ask about availability.

Can you make a nut free cake for a child with tree nut allergies?

Hi Miki! Thanks for your message. We definitely do make nut free cakes, but unfortunately we are not a nut free environment as we offer peanut butter and snickers flavors. If…

    Baby friendly smash cakes here?

Hi there! Yes, we do baby friendly smash cakes every week!:) contact our store by phone or website to inquire about pricing.

Is your bakery a nut-free environment facility? The reason I was asking, is that a woman on a FB page needed nut-free cupcakes in a nut-free environment due to a school's rule of "no nuts" and no cross-contamination. Thank you!

Hi there! We provide nut-free items, but unfortunately we are NOT a nut-free environment.

I got so many pastries. There were no misses. My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry cake. The cake wasn't too sweet, was moist, fluffy, and tasty. I enjoyed the matcha cheesecake, garlic sea salt bread, and raspberry cruffin as well. I also grabbed an egg bacon bread and regular sea salt bread to-go for future breakfasts. Warmed up, these were great in the morning! To drink I had the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte which was not too sweet and yummy! Good matcha flavor and the banana pudding was creamy. Mixed together, it was good. I also enjoyed the crunchy bits in there as well as the real banana slices. I got it at the small size, but the portion was generous. It went well with the pastries. There's some inside seating and tables as well as a bathroom available. There is lots of free parking around the bakery. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was still packed! I love how the bakers were constantly baking even in the afternoon, so they brought out fresh batches of their pastries. The variety is definitely one of the strongest points here. We tried the Matcha Cruffin, Onion Cream Bread, and Three Cheese Bagel. The Onion Cream Bread was the best of the three. The cream was light and balanced well with the bread, but the onion flavor was pretty much lost. I could barely taste it. The Matcha Cruffin was disappointing. There was matcha powder on top, but absolutely no matcha filling inside. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or simply missed the filling in ours, but for something sold as a matcha cruffin, I expected an actual matcha presence beyond the topping. The Three Cheese Bagel, made with cheddar, cream cheese, and mozzarella, had good flavor but the texture was much too hard. We were dining in and had it warmed up, yet the bread was still tough and the cheese inside had already hardened. Service was fine, but nothing stood out. Overall, great selection and a nice space, but the pastries we tried were inconsistent.

The staff was friendly and efficient, and even though there was a steady flow of customers, the line moved quickly. This visit, I tried the seasonal S'mores Frappe, and it honestly surprised me. I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was much more balanced than I anticipated. I actually ended up liking it more than Starbucks' version because you could still taste the chocolate and graham cracker flavors without it feeling like a sugar overload. I also picked up a few pastries. The S'mores Pastry was my favorite--it had great chocolate flavor, and the little dollop of toasted marshmallow on top was such a fun finishing touch that tied everything together. The only surprise was the Croissant Donut. It has a tangy lemon filling, but that wasn't mentioned in the name, so it definitely caught me off guard. If you're expecting a classic cream or custard filling, just know there's a citrus twist inside. It's not bad by any means, but I wish it had been labeled more clearly so I knew what to expect. Overall, Paris Baguette continues to be one of my favorite bakery chains when I'm craving pastries and specialty drinks. Between the welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and seasonal menu, it's always worth stopping in to see what's new.

I had never tried Botox before in my life, but I decided to get it for the first time yesterday as well. I don't think the results have shown yet, so I'm planning to post a review once they do. Since we were already in Orange County, we stopped by a bakery at the Source Mall. I bought several pastries there. The fresh cream bread was very delicious. I didn't try the custard cream bread because my younger brothers ate it, so I can't really comment on the taste. I also haven't tried the pecan pie yet. Lately, Dubai chocolate cookies have been extremely popular and trendy, so I asked whether this bakery had them. They said yes, so I bought one for $6.75. However, when I tried it this morning, it was absolutely not a Dubai chocolate cookie. It was basically just a chocolate pie. There was no pistachio flavor at all, and no pistachios inside--just a very ordinary chocolate pie. That part was extremely disappointing. Also, yesterday I asked the bakery if they could provide paper plates so we could cut and share the pastries, but she said they didn't have any. Other bakeries usually provide paper plates, so it was disappointing as well.
