Nice staff and cute bakery. We tried their banana pudding, chocolate pudding, strawberry champagne and chocolate whiskey cupcakes. All were yummy but the cupcakes, which seemed slightly dry and crumbly. The chocolate whiskey cupcake was bitter. Everything else was very good though.

Stopped in with my wife and tried the lemon cream frosted cookie, the sprinkle sugar cookie, and the banana pudding. Everything was really good. The lemon cookie was soft with a fresh lemon flavor that wasn't overly sweet. The sprinkle sugar cookie was exactly what you want from a classic sugar cookie, soft, buttery, and just plain good. The banana pudding was probably my favorite. Super creamy, great banana flavor, and tasted like something homemade. The shop itself was clean, bright, and had a fun vibe. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and everything looked as good as it tasted. Definitely coming back.

The limited time carrot cake banana pudding was FIRE. So good. I would definitely come back to this place. There's a parking lot on the World Market side of the plaza and you can just walk through to the other side. Way better than street parking.

I don't know if they've gotten better or my tastebuds have changed lol but I decided to give this place another chance, and have been back here a few times now. My kid also changed his mind because he also loves coming here now lol. Today I tried the salted caramel which was the best one I've tried here so far. Service was friendly once again, and the place is very clean inside.

The woman working here was so welcoming and sweet! It's a cute bakery spot with a little seating area outside. The cookie butter pudding was amazing and to die for. I absolutely love anything cookie butter flavored, and this definitely exceeded my expectations, the flavor of the banana pudding and cookie butter mixed well. I'll definitely be coming back here.

I was walking down Birch Street back to my car after visiting a local business when I came upon a "Try our world famous banana pudding" sign on the sidewalk. I love anything banana so it definitely caught my eye. I decided to walk into Hapa Bakery to check it out. The shop is fairly small, is very clean, and all walls are decorated nicely. There are four two seat tables, two inside and two out front. There is a refrigerated display case that holds their banana, nutella banana, and chocolate brownie puddings, along with a few other items. Two other counters display mouthwatering cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. The staff member was very friendly, and I mentioned that the sign out front lured me in to the shop, as I'm sure it does many others. I bought a container of banana pudding to take home, and managed to resist the urge to buy some of their other delicious looking goodies. I tried it the same evening, and it was truly heavenly. It is creamy and so flavorful, and is loaded with slices of banana and wafer cookies that are so soft and just melt. It is a good sized container, I'm guessing around 16 ounces, and is reasonably priced at just under $9. I try to limit my intake of sweets, but I will definitely be back to indulge here periodically.

Got the banana pudding because my friend absolutely adores it. I was not disappointed. It's a cute little shop, and the workers were kind. The pudding itself was so light and airy, and when you get that scoop with a piece of banana and a piece of bread. Wow. Such a nice light dessert to share with some friends... or by yourself, I'm not judging. Gotta come back to try the cookie butter or nutella version of the banana pudding!

Fantastic bakery! The person that helped us was very helpful and sweet. We got a chocolate on chocolate cupcake, a snickerdoodle cookie, chocolate chip cookie, and vanilla cupcake. Everything was so moist and not at all dry or overly sweet. The shop is super cute and chill. I definitely want to come back to try their banana pudding.

Nice clean little place. Everything is nicely displayed which makes it hard to decide what to buy since it's all looks so good. The girl at the register quiet. But not rude.

I've been meaning to try Hapa ever since before this location opened and finally tried it when they were running a deal on the banana pudding. The cookie butter one is phenomenal! A bit pricey but would be worth the splurge if I'm in the area. Would also love to try their cookies and cupcakes

This place is cute. They have some beautiful and tasty looking treats. They even have cute little snow globe cookies for the holidays. But I didn't try any of them. Honestly, just get the banana pudding...you're welcome.

This is amazing BP. And I know BP ball. Great texture, great cream team addition. Wafers held up well, not too soggy, not too stiff. Great balance of banana flavor. It was a war crime to not get another one. Genuinely a top 5 BP experience. All my homies hate Magnolia Bakery.

I've tried the cupcakes at Hapa prior to their move to Downtown Brea and wasn't a huge fan as it was dry but decided to come back to try the banana pudding ($8.50). Though it was quite sweet, it was to be expected. Layers of custard, wafers and banana - such a tasty treat if you're a fan of banana! $1 off puddings on Wednesdays. There was also a pumpkin pudding and strawberry pudding for those who want to try a different flavor! There are some street parking spots right up front if you get lucky or several structures located close by, all free to park.

Either the icing is too sweet or the cake is too dry or they just taste bland but Jens cakes were absolutely perfect! I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it. I ordered two cakes , the strawberry shortcake and chocolate fudge cake, not only did they look cute but They tasted AMAZING! The icing was a perfect amount of sweetness and the cakes were so moist. Might I add I usually don't get any yellow or vanilla cakes because they tend to not be as moist as a chocolate cake but the strawberry shortcake was so so good! I actually found her on yelp and although she didn't have any reviews yet I decided to go to her because she was local and offered delivery. I'm so happy that I did end up ordering with honeybun kitchen. Why offer so many flavors if you don't get a choice? I called again the next day and thankfully got a different worker who shared my confusion with me about the first worker. They wrote down my order (I got 4 different flavors) and I was set to pick up. The day I picked up my cupcakes, I noticed they looked different from the online pictures (but whatever, they still looked cute). I also noticed they gave me a wrong flavor (I ordered chocolate whiskey and they gave me caramel something instead). I made the mistake known to the cashier but she looked so confused and said "yeah.. thats the chocolate whiskey" which it clearly wasn't because there was caramel slathered on top and did not match the online description and the in person display. I showed the cashier the description and referenced the in person display and the cashier still seemed confused and said "yeah... thats the chocolate whiskey. What would you like me to do?" And I had to spell it out for her and say "take these caramel ones out and replace them with the ones I ordered" and had to point and all and the cashier just said "oh okay." It was super weird and frustrating. Anyways, taste wise- the alcohol infused cupcakes don't really have a flavor of alcohol and the batter kind of tastes like the box mix. Super strange experience for mid to below mid tasting cupcakes.
