Great customer service and conversation with the staff here (specifically Brianna and Jaden). My friend and I stopped by here after eating brunch at Tempo Cantina, and we saw a woman without a mask making a scene inside because the store's policy was "masks are required." We work in customer service ourselves, so this was upsetting to see because we experience crappy customers like this all the time. The cashiers were simply doing their jobs, so I told the woman off!! Let me just preface this by saying that I do not like baked sweets: cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pastries, none of it. I begrudgingly came here partially because my daughter begged me to, but really because I got a mailer for a free bundlet cake. And I know I suck, but my original plan was to go in there, get the freebie (the kids could share it, dammit!) and go. Went to Nothing Bundt Cakes in Brea on their first day. We arrived after they had closed and despite their inconvenience they opened back up for us. The staff was definitely well trained and the service was excellent. Obviously the cakes are phenomenal. If you get a lemon cake... It's really lemony. If you get a pumpkin cake... It's really pumpkiny... The frosting is amazing. Try a dozen sampler for under $19 and take them for a birthday in the office or to a party. We have told everyone we know that NBC is now open in Brea. Hope to see this place packed! One thing I forgot to mention was that despite being closed and I'm sure anxious to leave one employee took the time to show us the custom cakes menu and what they can do for parties and larger cakes. Excellent service! Only complaint is that it's not in Downtown Brea but I am biased since I live down there. read more

Cakes are always delicious. Unfortunately, Julia, in your Brea location might need some customer service lessons. I came in with my El Dorado Gold Card app that I just purchased as a fundraiser. The offer was BOGO. Julia said she had no idea what it was. I told her that I didn't want to take the offer if she didn't know what it was. But she gave me the offer anyway. The problem that I have is her snotty attitude. She packed my cakes and gave me my money back and basically just walked away. Celebrating my wedding anniversary today and I really had my heart set on the lemon raspberry cake. Due to my poor planning, I frantically called the shop last night around 8:30 pm. Thankfully, someone answered. Super nice guy who was extremely helpful. I went in today to pick up the cake which he saved for me! Even remembered my name. These cakes are good. They're treacherous and very sweet. I will say I chopped off a star because there's this employee there that just rubs me the wrong way. She's done it two times now. This place offers the E-Foodie deals for a free bundt cake, which is amazing. You click download and it gives you a number. She refused to believe me that the email will have the same exact number. She makes you wait for the email to get there and then show her it. She also won't accept that I'm right about it. I'd had a crazy, difficult week and could not find time to order a gift to be delivered to my husbands office for our anniversary. The manager told me they typically don't do it so last minute and was about to say "sorry" but (probably hearing the desperation in my voice) he said "You know what. We will make it work for you." Confessions (I eat cake) and complaints (this place made me so mad).... I don't love complainers but seriously.... This place is unbelievable to the point that I could have gone all postal on this place if I wasn't completely sane. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. I noticed this right away since I'm a foodie and I was really excited to bite into my chocolate cake. I ask the lady--who just took my $5 for a single serving of cake--for a fork. Her response: "we don't give out forks anymore." My face must have screamed annoyance but I nicely said, "I just bought a cake and I need a fork to eat it with, what do you mean you don't GIVE out forks anymore?" I look in front of me on the counter and there is a bag full of plastic forks mini plates and napkins that seem to be for sale as a whole so I know they HAVE forks but they're not willing to share them. So I say, "there are forks right here, can I have one of these?" She said "no" very irritated with ME (I've been nothing but nice, but admittedly confused)..."we don't GIVE out forks anymore!" So I left very confused and PISSED off to say the least with a new understanding of the phrase "she went all postal on them" because I really felt deeply frustrated. I worked for Nordstrom for like 8 years and I come from a completely different mentality than this craziness. Can someone please tell me how a business can consider it "Giving" a fork to you when you have just purchased a single serving cake that they have not GIVEN you a civilized way to eat?!?! This was my first time here at this location. I was immediately greeted by Melody. She directed me to the sample of chocolate turtle. It's a featured cake available in January and February only. It was so moist, chocolatey, and delicious with bits of pecans and a hint of caramel. I ordered the bundlet chocolate chip since I'm a big time chocolate lover and the white chocolate raspberry. They were both moist, flavorful, delicious and perfect. I could eat the while thing and not feel heavy afterwards. They're $4.49 each but I had a buy one get one free deal. Two bundlets for $4.49.
