We stopped by to get a small cupcake, but the experience was disappointing. The staff seemed uninterested and made us feel invisible -- even after we asked if they were open, they didn't offer any assistance. I'm not sure if it was poor service or something else, but either way, the customer service was terrible. Always friendly and welcoming. One time i was working late and had to pick up an order for my son's birthday and i was bummed that they were closed. I thought well let me see if they will help me, they can say no but why not try first. I told them my situation and they brought me my order. Talk about above and beyond, they totally made my day. Spent $60, but would not let my 9 year old use the bathroom. She was in her soccer uniform and we were on our way home from a game (with a 1 hr commute home). This 2-star review has nothing to do with the taste of these delicious Bundt cakes or the niceness of the young lady and young man that assisted me in preparing my 2-dozen Bundtini order. It has everything to do with the lack of awareness of how simple actions and lack thereof can lead to not-so-warm and fuzzy experience that even the glorious taste of the bundts can't undo. When I arrived some sort of business transaction was happening right in front of the store blocking the one door customers can use for access. The other door was blocked off with a sign designating to use the other door. A woman (maybe 2) wearing a collared NBC shirt was interacting with the man. They were all happy and smiling, their placement was just not convenient for customer entry. I placed my order and 1 variety dozen was ready and another had to be made. While we finished deciding the order (2 dozen), my daughter walked in from the car, still in her soccer uniform as we were heading home from her game. She asked if there was a restroom she could use. We were politely told no so we left to use the Subway next door since the other dozen Bundtinis needed to be assembled anyway. I spent $7 at Subway in order to be a paying customer using the facility. They did not demand it, the two employees didn't say anything but a polite hello when my daughter walked in and headed straight to the bathroom. Clearly understanding the importance of when a child has to go. It's disappointing that as an already paying customer the NBC staff could not see the same urgency in a young girl and just accommodate something as simple, kind, and common sense as allowing her to use the restroom. read more

As an avid fan of the Woodlands location, seeing a new shop open in Conroe closer to home I was excited. But after ordering a $35 cake, I was so disappointed with the quality. It was as if they pre made the cakes then left them in the freezer for days and thawing them out right before giving them to the customer. My cake was freezing cold (not normal in the fridge cold) and the iconic texture turned to chewiness. I am very disappointed with this shop and I hope they change this soon :( read more

Amazing, quick response and turnaround! I found out about the passing of a good friend's spouse and she lives in Conroe, TX (while I am in Jefferson, GA). I know that the White Chocolate Raspberry Bundt cake is her absolute favorite (it's mine as well), and I wanted to be able to send her that cake so she could either eat her feelings or share it with the many visitors I know she is about to have (or both). I contacted the Conroe store to find out if they could deliver this cake to my friend and was so glad to find out this wouldn't be a problem (with a delivery fee, which, of course - no problem!). The cakes were definitely delicious. A couple of the girls there were helping me but had a little of an attitude. My first time there and the acted like I should now what they have and how they sell them. So their response back to me were making me feel like I was stupid. The cakes are delicious. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only issue i have is the last few times I've been in there, I've seen and heard customers being extremely rude and ugly to the employees. The girls that work the evening are high school kids and they do NOT deserve to be talked to the way that I have witnessed. I think that when management hears this happening they should step up and take control of the situation. No company should allow their workers to be treated and talked to that way. These cakes are amazing! Their cakes not only taste great but are decorated very well. I ordered a bunt cake for 4th of July weekend and it came out great. The lady that was working was generous enough to wait after close when I was running late to give me time to get my cake. Horrible customer service and lack of communication. We went in and order 2 8" cakes with the expectation of waiting 10 minutes. After waiting 45 min to an hour we were told multiple times our cake was "being boxed up". Our experience was not great and after speaking to the manager she stated there was a mess up with the way her employee rang it in. Never was that communicated to us, instead we watched 4 customers come and go with their cakes. We were offered using our horrible experience as a "training opportunity". Sorry but if you want to be a successful business owner take care of your customers, as they are the ones spending money in your place of business. read more
