Oh how I love cake! This establishment has the right ingredients as these cakes are moist, tasty and just downright delicious! $5 for your personal bundt cake of pure bliss is what it is all about. We got the confetti flavor, pecand and marble. I cannot speak for the confetti and pecan as my family ate those but I devoured that marble cake and didn't feel bad about it one bit. One of my co-workers used to always rave about a place called Nothing Bundt Cakes. I never really paid her no mind because honestly I don't think I've ever had a bundt cake. Well that all changed today. I was in the area and noticed the Nothing Bundt Cake sign, so I was like what the heck let me give it a try (mainly because my co-worker would not shut up about it). I am so beyond happy I did! This place is located in what looks like a newer shopping center. It's small but you're really only in there to order. There isn't any seating available in case you wanted to enjoy your dessert right then but that's not an issue for me. The staff were really friendly and got me in and out pretty quickly which I appreciate. They also have other small items for sale like candles and cards but I mean c'mon we're only really there for the cakes. I really wanted to order the bundtinis (bite size) so I could try a couple flavors but they only sell those in a dozen and I definitely did not need that many. I went with the bundtlet size(comparable to a slice of cake). I ordered the red velvet and the white chocolate raspberry flavors. The white chocolate raspberry was by far my favorite out of the 2 but the red velvet wasn't bad. After I had checked out I noticed that they had samples of the lemon flavor and that was also really delicious. If I would have tried it before I checked out I would have gotten that one instead. Overall I was really impressed with the cakes I tried today and will definitely be back to get the lemon flavor! P.S. Try to wait until the cakes are room temp and not right out of the fridge. If you're into desserts at all, you've likely heard of Nothing Bundt Cakes. If not just for the cute, catchy name, then maybe for their delicious cakes. I was excited to see that a new store had recently opened up in my work neck of the Virginia woods, so I made it a point to stop by. The store is just as adorable as the name. Beautiful and girly and sweet just as you'd imagine a boutique cake shop to be. I believe I saw greeting cards and stationary for sale inside too - very fitting. The two women behind the counter were friendly and helpful. They led me to some delicious carrot cake samples - apparently, they always have samples. The carrot cake was moist and each sample had a little dollop of cream cheese frosting on top. SO good I wanted seconds. I didn't intend to buy anything there that day, but everything from the perfectly uniform bundt cakes in the display to the awesome service and the carrot cake samples all sealed the deal. I took home two bundtlets (miniature, one large serving sized cakes) - red velvet and pumpkin spice. Both equally good and moist. Don't let the fact that they describe them as miniature fool you - they are dense and filling and actually well worth the $4.50 a pop they will run you. If you're cupcaked out and are looking for something sweet but different or are in need of a classy, yummy cake (yes, they have large, tiered bundt cakes made to order) I highly suggest coming into Nothing Bundt Cakes. We bought a few to try and had mixed reviews within the family. Everyone agreed the lemon was best flavor of cake. The red velvet had some that thought it was tasteless and others thinking it was good. The marble was good but again lacked flavor. We all liked the icing flavor although it did taste alot like Pillsbury premade icing with a hint of lemon. The cake texture on all cakes was moist without being spongy. I'm doing my happy Snoopy dance... finally a Nothing Bundt in Nova. The store is quaint as always... decor is what I envisioned for my daughters room. They also have Kate Spade items for sale. Very nice visit to the store yesterday and sampled the lemon cake, which was excellent. The staff at the store are very welcoming and helpful. Everybody was very pleasant so we took home a bunch of small cakes. All of the cakes are very, very moist and my daughter said: "This is the best cake I have ever had in my life" Believe me, we have eaten a lot of cake, too! All of the cakes were excellent, you can't really go wrong. If I had to nitpick, I guess I would wish that there were more chips in the red velvet cake, and I wish the white chocolate raspberry had a little more raspberry flavor. I would also try to add other flavors and maybe different flavor glazes or frosting to the cakes- chocolate glaze would be excellent. So, this is a different kind of review. I'd never had these cakes until a slice at a friends party, the red velvet was TO DIE FOR and I have never been a fan so that's really saying something. There is just something magic about it, it's witch craft I swear. The kind of cake you ruin your crash diet for, and it's worth every bite. ANYWAY, I ordered a dozen mini cakes for a work meeting tomorrow. I'm basically trying to bribe my team into liking me. I'm new and they're all 20+ years older than me and young people in the organization tend to be stuck up and all around not a fun group. So yeah I'm subconsciously tricking them through their stomachs. No biggie. I placed an order at about 4pm is today and set my pick up time for 7pm, when the store closes. It's risky, I know, NoVa people either drive like the world is ending or like they have no place to be for the next 40 years. Guess how they drove tonight? Needless to say I was about 5 minutes late, the door was locked, curtains drawn, no one in sight. I. Was. Heartbroken. I knocked anyway (kind of aggressive, I'm so sorry employees) and an ANGEL CAME TO THE DOOR. He asked if I had a pick up and went back to retrieve it, reviewed it before I left and was overall so kind that I was late. I already love this place and will order every cake for the rest of my life from here, I'll probably leave it in my will for them to cater my funeral. We got the bundtinis which came with a dozen since we couldn't decide on just 1-2 flavors to get. All of them were AMAZING. The cakes were fluffy and moist. The cream cheese frosting is a classic and delicious. I'd highly recommend the strawberries and cream (seasonal), carrot cake, confetti, and red velvet. I have been to this place a few times trying to give them a chance with their service, but it never fails that I'm disappointed. I requested to have two Bundtlets placed in a gift bag I had purchased. They were wrapping everything for me, but had to ask the manager if I could add these two. Not even wrapped but just set in there. No, they could not. Just ridiculous. When I got the bag, I opened it and placed them there myself as part of the gift. Today we showed up 30 min early for an order and were told they could not honor an early pickup. Even though it was a simple vanilla cake with two flags. Are you telling me this was not already prepared, and it will take you that long to bake this whole cake right there? They also said they did not have any strawberry left, but we had already paid. They couldn't figure out how to refund us, so they magically came up with one from the back. I'm so done with this place. They need to be so much better with their customer service! read more

I curse the day my realtor brought a dozen bundtinis to our 'new home' gathering because we have become obsessed! Every time we walk in, we are greeted with smiles and welcomes. The store is always clean and they have such adorable things that they're selling in addition to the cakes. They do not rush you through your decision making process. They ask if you've tasted the samples today. Of course, I beeline directly to the samples, well, just because I can! We ordered two 8" cakes for Thanksgiving and we got there at about 6pm. My pickup time was at 5pm and we didn't check to see if they closed early and of course they did. When we arrived, we were horrified that the shop was closed! But then this young lady opened the door and asked if we were picking up and we happily squealed yes! So, she brought us into the store and said "that if you didn't get them, we were going to hand deliver them to your house." At first hubby was excited because that meant he got to eat TWO cakes by himself! Thankfully, she saw us through the window trying to figure out our options. Needless to say I was awestruck and they won us over forever. Another experience, a lady forgot to give us our 'free' bundlet and said just to get it next time. We were skeptical because nothing was written down or any information exchanged. So, we went in the following week (don't judge!) and we explained what was said and NO PROBLEMS! No looks. No second guessing. No making me feel like a crook. I'm a huge fan. If they could get the deliveries down, I'd order online and have delivered to my son in California and daughter in Maryland and friends and family all over the States! :-) I'm not joking. I tried. This is probably my favorite cake place so far! Right when you enter the small, attractive shop the staff greets you just so kindly. There was a large supply of samples for one flavor which I thought was great! The cakes are reasonably priced considering that they are of great quality and just flat out delicious! I ordered the carrot bundtlet (a smaller serving) and I thought the cake was nearly perfect just wish it was a little more moist for my liking - it was a bit dry to me. I could really taste the carrot and a bit of cinnamon and spice which was really nice. The icing - cream cheese - is just AMAZING! I normally can't stand the icing on cupcakes, cakes, or other sweets cause they have such an unnaturally sweet flavor that is just so overpowering. I'm a little sad I found this place because now I've been on a bundt cake diet for the past few days determined to try all their flavors. And their store isn't open on Sundays which really put a damper on things. Here are the flavors I've tried starting with the best one (in my opinion): - Classic Vanilla: Similar in flavor to birthday cake. Super fluffy, moist and delicious with a buttercream frosting. A very classic flavor just like the name says. - Pumpkin Spice (Seasonal): I'm normally not a pumpkin spice lover but this one takes the cake! A little more dense than the vanilla but has cream cheese frosting. Who doesn't love cream cheese frosting?!? - Lemon: Love the light flavor of lemon. It's refreshing but I wish the frosting had a zip of lemon to compliment. - Chocolate Chocolate Chip: Classic chocolate flavored cake. Not crazy about the chocolate chips. And it would be nice if they offered one with a chocolate buttercream! Still delicious as is... it's chocolate cake. - White Chocolate Raspberry: The girl at the counter recommended this and I wasn't disappointed. I don't like white chocolate but this cake was delicious! Nice balance between the sweetness and the tart raspberries. - Red Velvet: Another one with cream cheese frosting! Delicious but still not crazy about the chocolate chips. - Carrot: This one was the most dry of the bunch. Carrot cake is usually my favorite but was disappointed.
