I first had NBC a few years ago in the Chicago market so I was excited to see a local site open last year. I've been a regular customer over the last 12 months, but I was a bit bummed when I recently placed an order for 5 dozen bundtinis for my son's birthday. We didn't receive any of the cupcake picks that say Happy Birthday and I didn't realize this until I opened all of our boxes. I figured since I told them they were for a 10 years old boys' birthday, they would have been included. Overall the cakes are very good, the frosting is very rich so I usually scrape some off and a regular sized bundt cake can easily last 2-3 days. I wanted to have a birthday cake delivered to my daughter's office in Herndon. I called all of the bakeries in the area, only one other bakery delivered and it was really expensive and didn't seem all that helpful. I wanted to have Wegmans bake a cake but they won't deliver cakes from their bakery. I tried InstaCart, Doordash, GrubHub, and other similar delivery services but they only deliver from the menus on their websites. I finally found Nothing Bundt Cakes in Dulles. Kyran was very helpful. She made sure I had the correct size, flavor and decorations for my cake. They even supplied serving ware. Everything was delivered on time, my daughter said the cake was delicious and her and her co-workers had a great time celebrating her birthday. I had a gift card and didn't feel these cakes lived up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, these cakes are good, but I could get just as good if not better at the grocery store for a fraction of the cost. These cakes are amazing! The icing is incredible and the cake has tremendous flavor and is so moist. I was super happy to stumble upon this new location during their soft opening. They also provided free samples which were great. My favorite bundt was the chocolate which had chocolate chips in it and a rich vanilla buttercream icing. My sister's favorite was the white chocolate raspberry. It too was out of this world with flavor. I will definitely be back to buy additional bundt cakes! Next time I will take pictures... unfortunately we ate the cakes so quickly that we didn't have time for pictures. --------------- Update: Over the weekend, I picked up a couple dozen bundtinis (i.e. mini mini bundt cakes sold by the dozen) and these were the hit of the party. Everyone was interest as they were so fresh and delish. The best part was they came with a written key to let you know which flavors were which. This place is cute and the staff reminds of what really great customer service is about. When you walk in they greet you right away. The staff is so sweet. Its like almost to good to be true! To the left of the door that you walk in there is a little tray to try the flavor or new items they have. I had there pumpkin spice cake in November it was so good Starting with the icing it taste so homemade thick and creamy and the cake was moist with a bunch of taste. I used to love nothing bunt cakes but today is my last day with them. I made an order over the phone to deliver bundtinis to my husband's office and everything got messed up. First, I spelled the specific note for my husband and off course it was not what I told the representative that took my order. Second, I never got a notification if the order was delivered or not neither my husband. They usually do send a text message but this time they didn't. Third, I asked if they would put the toppers to the bundtinis ready and off they didn't, someone found them on the floor because they fell off when delivering the order. Last, the carrot bundtinis did not taste at all as carrot. Not sure what happened but I won't order from them again. I will probably go back to the Vienna location. read more

The most moist little desserts I could ask for! I absolutely loved the red velvet one and also tried the marble and tried the white chocolate raspberry as well. I can't wait to try even more of them. I had a coupon for a free bundt cake as part of this bakery's grand opening. I used it to get a chocolate chip cake with white cream cheese icing, and it was scrumptious! It was perfect after lunch at CafeSano next door. I didn't know the bakery was closed on Sunday, but the owner was there with a beautiful smile and she let me in and honored my expired coupon -- and made a customer for life. I usually make a homemade cake for our family birthday celebrations, but my son wanted something different this year. We ordered from Nothing Bundt Cakes near the Dulles mall as we've had these delicious creations before and it was my son's favorite. Since the Covid issue, of course I had to order ahead and wait outside to get the cake. When it arrived the manager of the store had presented me with the cake as well as a box of bundtinis! I was amazed. She said it was because I had already waited 10 minutes for my order as well as it was not done to her standards. She apologized and offered the mini bundts in addition to the regular. To be honest, I don't know if I would have noticed the imperfections on my own. I just want to tip my hat to this store for being there for the customer and taking pride in every cake they sell. Something new great presentation always get a huge compliment when I bring wine as a hostess gift or for a party

I will start with saying that I fully understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and that my order was set to be picked up over Mother's Day Weekend. With that being said, I ordered two cakes and balloons over a week before my pick up date. I realized 5 days out from my pick up date that I would need to pick up my items earlier. I called the store to see if this was possible and I was assured it was fine and that my pick up date and time had been changed. When my pick up time rolls around, I go to the store and after a long wait, was told that there was an error and my pick up time had not been changed. I was told that they could make my items for me if I didn't mind hanging out, but that they were not wrapping them or constructing the decor on the cake because "we thought it was a fun thing for people to do with their mom's on Mother's Day." This was NOT advertised on the website. If I am spending $80+ on a product, I would expect it to come as advertised. The balloons were also half of the size that they typically are when I have purchased them from the same store (I'm guessing rushing and not enough helium had been put in them). I was told that this weekend was busier than Christmas for them and they only had a small number of staff members working, but there needed to be a cut off for how many orders were being taken if the products could not be made as advertised. The cakes were delicious as always, but the execution on how this was done on a popular weekend should have been thought through ahead of time. read more

I LOVE these cakes. I have gone there regularly since they open for every celebration requiring a cake. I've told my whole family who gets them for me. My sister, a real estate agent, even bought them for her clients, her open houses and more. So the product is great. I even have a card that they punch for each purchase because I go so regularly. I gave 2 stars for the customer service. Once when I went they were having a promotion. Although the sign said a free bag if you buy 4 cakes (and I bought 4), the young woman behind the counter refused to give me one. I could not understand why but it seemed mean-spirited. I don't need extra bags but I was heartbroken because I was not valued as a loyal customer. I was shocked that they did not care about me as a loyal customer. My sister, the real estate agent, brought it up with the owner when she was buying a couple cakes. The owner didn't even apologize although she admitted that if I bought 4, I should have gotten a bag. She didn't even care. Someone brought the bundtinis into work, all that was left were the lemon flavor, which I am not usually a big fan of, but these were great! Since then I have had a few different flavors all very good, though the white chocolate raspberry is my favorite. Ordered a strawberries and cream cake in April 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cake was absolutely delicious and had just the right texture. My wife and I ate the cake over the course of about a week, and throughout that whole time the frosting stayed fresh. The cake was just as good after several days as it was at the beginning, without any part of it getting dry at all. Regarding their service, they had an easy online ordering system, and they had a curbside pickup setup where you could call when you arrived, and they would set your cake on a table out front while you waited in your car, to avoid coming into close contact with anyone. The employee that I saw was wearing gloves and a facemask and seemed to be taking the distancing measures seriously, which I appreciated. This is the best tasting cake place in the area. Moist, flavorful, and rich. The icing is a cream cheese type of frosting. Lots of bundt cakes, are too dense and dry. These are the opposite! We have tried the bundtinis, and the large cake. If you want a variety, go for the bundtinis. My family likes them so much, that we have to order from this bakery for every Birthday and special occasion. Give it a try for yourself, and you will see why there is always a line! Absolutely wonderful cakes, but 100% they have to do better with taking orders on the phone. Twice within one week, I've been made to feel bad for my card declining when in fact they took down the information incorrectly. The first time the gentlemen called back and informed me of this and we tried again after I frantically checked my account. He missed a number from my card. Second time they couldn't even call me back because not only was my security number written down incorrectly but my phone number as well. I'm not sure about others but first of all I rather them not write down all of this information. And two, why not streamline the process by processing payment while the customer is on the phone. Still take down a phone number, but why wait till things go sour to inform them and risk not getting ahold of them for whatever reason their fault or not. I love this store and I come so frequently, but I'm super disappointed. Granted I came late and didn't realize they close at 6, and they kindly, but begrudgingly, let me it. They didn't even offer to try to fix what happened and make an effort to put the order together for me right then and there. The next day, we went and got a dozen bundtinis. I have to say, THEY ARE DELICIOUS! They melt in your mouth, they're not dry and they're not too sweet. They're perfect.
