We order a cake for a birthday party and as soon as we got to the car we realized there was no icing on the cake. We went back in and asked for icing (only outside the store for 30seconds) but this condensing blonde worker. Told us she is unable to put icing on the cake because we left the store and it would violate the health code. We even couldn't buy icing there to ice the cake ourselves. Since my last review, which was my first time at this location, I have tired many other bundtlets. Vanilla: almost better than your average vanilla cake. Lemon: refreshing and zesty! Confetti: taste like all funfetti cakes. White chocolate raspberry: I don't taste the whites chocolate part but the cake taste great! chocolate chocolate chip: basic chocolate cake with very few chips :( Strawberries n creme: super moist! I like this one! Pecan praline: yuck! It was dry and tasted like box cake. I wonder if it was left over from previous day(s). Not fresh at all. I've tried almost all the cakes they have minus a couple but will be back to try. There are a few that I do not care for. My husband and I tried the red velvet 3 times here. The first time it was super delicious with tons of chocolate chips. It was so good we couldn't wait to indulge in another red velvet. Our second time getting it, there were 4 chocolate chips, yes we counted. We thought it was a joke lol. So we tried it a 3rd time. Well, it wasn't a joke, there were barely any chocolate chips in our red velvet bundtlets :( so we decided we will past on red velvet here forever. That being said On my last trip I wanted the chocolate chips in my bundtlet so I decided to do the chocolate chocolate chip. Well, unfortunately I won't order this one again either. So they don't have much for dye free options the vanilla cakes even have number dye in them.... It's sad they have a max of two options for those allergic to number dyes.... Two seasonal options and one gluten free option my poor kids were actually looking forward to them but they can't even have a vanilla or chocolate plain one because they have to use number dyes in 95% of their items. read more

Delicious! I've been to many locations in different cities and states, and have yet to find one that isn't good. This location is no different. The cakes are moist, the icing is not too sweet, and everything tastes fresh. My favorite is red velvet. Could there be more chocolate chips in the bundlet? Yes. However, the cake is perfectly moist, I love the cream cheese frosting, so that's okay. There are always samples available and any flavor you're craving. I can't wait to come back! read more

I didn't even know this shop was here! I had heard great things about NBC and had plans to go to the one in St. Louis. Thanks to Yelp, this shop popped up when I was doing a search while in the area! I quickly told hubby to turn around! I was too close to not stop in and finally try these famous bundt cakes! First off, the inside of this little shop is super cute! It is decorated so pretty. It is bright and cheery; a very happy place! When you walk in, the wonderful aroma fills your senses and makes you smile! The girl behind the counter was friendly and sweet! It was hard to decide which flavors to try, they all looked amazing! I ended up getting the chocolate chocolate chip and confetti. I tried the pumpkin sample as I was leaving and wished I had gotten one of those too! Over the next few days I nibbled on them both and they are so moist and great flavor and the icing is fantastic! We ended up heading here the first time because we ran into a couple friends at lunch who said we HAD to come to NBC. I LOVE cake, but my mom's not a huge fan. That can't be said about her any longer, and that's thanks to NBC. Sadly, the Strawberries and Cream (our favorite) is a seasonal item and no longer available. My hubs LOVES the chocolate chip variety. He even microwaves it for just about 30 seconds, and it's a like a warm chocolate chip cookie. We love the vanilla and red velvet, too! My mom-in-law RAVED about the lemon. Can you tell we've been there a few times? And THAT'S where that 5 lbs. came from! Ah well...all in the name of cake. Not only are the cakes fresh, moist, and absolutely delicious, the staff and owners are incredibly friendly and have taken customer service to heart. I, too, work at my family's small business, and I appreciate a high level of customer service. It's our bread-and-butter. The store is also super cute and offers a bunch of great little gift items! We had a bundt cake for Mother's Day even though we opt for Bundtlettes for a regular day/occasion. The full size cakes AND bundlettes last over a week in the fridge and are not any less amazing that many days later. No joke. We had 12 people for MDay and still only ate half the cake. I sent some with my mom, and we saved the other quarter. It literally lasted another 7 days in my fridge (sealed bowl), and I had my mom pick it up FRIDAY before we served it on Sunday (I'm a florist and was NOT going to be able to get there in time!).
