This is my first time here and after reading the reviews I knew I need to stop in for my BFF's birthday cake. She turn 54 and had never had a store bought birthday cake. I had to change that. I was going to just buy a mini for her, but it was random act of kindness day and they gave me an extra. I thought hard about giving it to someone else but really wanted to try it. As you can see it is at my desk with a fork. All I can say is this is one of the best purchased cakes I have ever had. It was just so perfectly yummy. I can't believe how good it was. I have had many store bought cakes and pies and such and this is in the top 5 for best tasting I have had. I will be back again but after I can start riding my bike again in the warmer season. To me they taste more like a coffee cake than actual cake, I think thats why I like it. There are 3 different sizes, from full cake, personal, and a little bite size. I've purchase the small bundtlette cakes from here several times. It's rare that I stop in and a flavor not being available. The cakes are sweet, delicious and always moist. My most recent stop in was actually an idea I had after leaving a nearby brewery. I crabbed some carrot cake kolsch dessert style beers to go and thought why not grab a carrot cake for comparison. I ate the whole dang individual cake before I made it to the traffic light at the entrance. This place has the best, I mean, the best Gluten Free cakes, period! I entered the store and got a large white chocolate raspberry and 2 small individual cakes(pralines pecan and hint of blueberry). When I was in the store, it was quite busy- always a good sign. I have not personally shopped here, but my daughter gave me a cake (the praline) from here for my birthday last Friday. This was, hands down, one of the best cakes I've ever had. Moist, not too sweet, firm, icing to die for, beautiful, and well packaged. Plenty for everyone, with half left over. My only (and huge) disappointment was when I ran to the BMV on Saturday and returned to find that my boarder had eaten all but a 1" slice, which I had to divide between 3 grandkids, who kept asking why they couldn't have a whole piece. I love their cakes and we usually buy 12 mini bundt cakes every 2 weeks. However, my last two experiences have been disappointing. The red velvet chocolate barely has any chocolate chips in it. They used to be in every bite. I can barely find one in a slice or their mini Bundt cake. I bought my daughter a 10" cake for her birthday. I was a bit surprised when they informed me that they didn't have their most popular cake available. I could either wait 45 minutes or pick it up later. I agreed to prepay for the cake and stop by the next morning before noon. At 10:30 the next day, Saturday, I stopped by to pick up my order. Not ready. It would be ready at 11:30. She gave me a bundt as my birthday cake and I was so excited when she told where she got the cake from.
