My BFF and I need some yummy items for a cocktail club we enjoy. We searched Yelp and found a hidden gem right down from our favorite coffee shop. I mean we never noticed it here sadly or we would have been here sooner. We were helped as soon S we walked in and were told about the different flavors and options. The location is smaller, but very clean and bright. We got 6 cookies, 6 cupcakes and a box of macaroons. Later when we got cocktail club I enjoyed a raspberry cupcake that was so moist and flavorful I don't think I have ever bought one that was so tasty. Heck I love baking and I am not sure I could make a cupcake that tasted as good. The cookies were also so very good, not you typical sugar cookie and the macaroons were just amazing. Wow, I just received a box of cupcakes for my 60th Birthday. I must say, I'm a foodie and picky on flavors. I have got to say that after eating the third cupcake, I had to do a review. I asked my friend where he got the, because there is a small sticker that seals the box but I unfortunately ripped it when opening the box. He told me Lulu's in West Chester. The flavors are deep and so flavorful and I feel like I'm eating homemade cupcakes made with fresh ingredients. The buttercream icing is made with actual butter and wonderful light doesn't leave a film like mass produced butter cream does- the cake is outstanding the strawberry cupcake has actual strawberries in it and not just pink coloring and dye and the strawberry buttercream is also amazing! The chocolate cake is wonderfully dense and truly amazing! The chocolate ganache is thick and smooth! Beautifully done! The have a list of flavors & add ons for decorating (macaroons is what our group added) There are pictures of the verity's styles they offer in different sizes and what they could look like if add ons are chosen. When they dropped me off at 4pm, I went back for another one so that my husband could understand why I'd leave him for this cupcake. My friend decided to pop in too bc she knew how I adored the cupcake. BEST cupcake in Cincinnati. And I swear I have standards! If the quality isn't up to par with Magnolia bakery in NYC or Georgetown cupcake in DC or Sprinkles in Chicago I am not wasting my time. Glad I only purchased 1, because if I had procured a dozen, they'd be consumed by now! Tried about 4 macaroon flavors, standouts were white almond raspberry and Red velvet. OMG the red velvet...I did a double take whilst eating the macaroon, as it tastes so much like red velvet cake! Third, they have gluten friendly cupcakes!! Normally, I enjoy cupcakes that are stuffed, but these were the best "normal" cupcakes I've ever had! Almost wish I didn't try them, because they are so good I always want them on hand. Rosanna is the owner and went above and beyond with customer service. I had the snickerdoodle and I believe the Oreo macaroons, they were outstanding. The cake part of the strawberry cupcake was good but the strawberry icing just didn't do it for me. The apple crisp and the peanut butter iced chocolate cupcake were both good, probably not in my Cincinnati top 5 cupcakes. The sugar cookies with buttercream frosting were not as soft/fresh as I had hoped. The flavor was good but it turned out to be a bit hard and slightly crumbly. Discovered this place after having coffee at Cavu. The owner, Rosanna was a pleasure to talk with, so nice and welcoming. Her shop is a front counter with the rest taken up by the back room where the magic happens, so do not plan on staying. Previously mentioned front counter was stocked with yummy flavored cupcakes, beautifully decorated sugar cookies, rice crispy treats, macarons, and edible chocolate chip cookie dough. She told me she makes everything from scratch with real butter, etc. She also takes orders for custom cakes and decorated macarons and pretty much everything else in the case. I personally only tried the pistachio macarons bc they are my fav. These were yum! The filling was not overly sweet and had a little saltiness to it that I really liked with the pistachio. My kids loved the chocolate ganache and birthday cake that I got them. My friend got a 4-pack of the cupcakes and said they were all a big hit at her house (husband and 2 teens). The cake atheistically was perfection and exceeded my expectations - but more importantly, the taste was incredible. I got a small cake because my family rarely eats sweets and I was worried it wouldn't get finished. However, my family devoured this cake - which led me to leave a review.
