The icing was definitely the highlight - good, but nothing extraordinary. The real letdown was the cake itself, which was dry across the board. The minis were especially dry, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. On top of that, the flavors just didn't stand out. Nothing really wowed us or left a lasting impression. After seeing so many people leaving with only ice cream, we kind of understood why.

They were surprised this bakery was right around the corner from their house and insisted on the address as they said they'd want to come back to check the place out. Since I was unable to pick up my order, I emailed them (for my proof I cancelled it)...they said no problem, we'll issue you a refund. 5 days later, no refund on my credit card...called and spoke to 'Tasha' who spoke to a manager who said 'because it's the holiday's give it a few more day's... Now, it's been 2 weeks NO REFUND! They will make it extremely difficult to get your money back if you cancel an order. I WILL NEVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN BECAUSE OF THEIR INABILITY TO PROCESS A REFUND I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE RUN AROUND. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT

I like really lemony cake so for the baby shower I asked her to bump up the lemon flavor even before I tried the sample cupcake and it was perfect. For the cake decorating class I asked for the entire cake to be in cream cheese frosting instead of buttercream, she did that for us and a few of the other girls ended up doing the same! The class was a lot of fun and her instructions were very easy to follow.

I was very disappointed on how the cake turned out because it definitely doesn't look like the picture I sent her. She did try and I really do appreciate it but unfortunately I didn't have a birthday cake to celebrate on my special day.
