Ivy did my gel pedicure with the hot stone foot massage. She was so gentle, patient and detailing. She took time listening and making sure the pedicure turned out to be what I expected. She also noticed that my fresh orange water cup was empty and immediately refilled it for me. The salon is on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd, right before the traffic light to downtown Saratoga. They dipped my fingers in a white powder, but then proceeded to do a gel manicure with uv light. When I asked about it, they insisted that's what their version of dip is. I came to Day dream salon thats right below this nail salon and had just gotten my hair done. I saw this place and figured to get my nails done since its my birthday this weekend. I walked in today at 6:15pm and the lady had locked the doors even though it said on their front door that they are open till 7pm. Went in for a dip manicure, which I specified, and they did gel. Charged me an extra $10 to remove my old dip. Dremmeled off my old polish instead of soaking off which damaged my nails. I wear my nails in a squared shape but the manicurist cut the sides off on the nails on my right hand giving them an terrible shape and rounded the corners on my nails on my left hand. I bought a Groupon for this nail salon and that worked fine. I came back a month later to get a fill and a color change pedicure. A fill is usually $30-40. On their wall they list the price of a fill for $35 which is fine. However, they charged me $60 for the service!!!! They told me that it was a hybrid gel. They never asked me whether or not I wanted the upgraded service. They say this is better but I don't really see a difference. The quality of my nails is ok-- some rough painted edges on a couple of my nails. This is another nail salon that gives you a surprise up-charge at the end. I will not be returning here. read more

I've been here twice now. As a mom with an under one year old, it is really hard to find time to get your nails done and a place that can accommodate you quickly to keep your beast at bay This place has not let me down either time. First time, I called ahead by like 30 min and was able to get a pedicure and fill with gel at the same time. Today I walked in with my napless/cranky son and they were able to take me again with no wait, both pedi/mani at the same time. Not only we're they able to get me in and out quickly, they did an amazing job. My nails and pedicure were perfect and they spent the whole time trying to help entertain my son. They even changed the TV to a kids show which he loved (nobody else was there but they did this out of kindness). He was mesmerized, as am I. Very unprofessional. Been here about a dozen times and had nice experience. I live nearby and in walking distance. The young man is very good for mani/pedi. Today I had Diane for a manicure. My hands did not look good, I had done gardening and they had split and cuticles looked shameful. Diane began to discuss to other workers about my hands in her native tongue and one of the clients who was getting a pedicure understood the language and came over and stood next to me touching my shoulder to look at my hands. Diane did not tell her to leave, I did. Then the woman took one step away and I told her again to leave. Then Diane told her to step away and she barely inches away. I told Diane that she was unprofessional, that the woman would not have disturbed me and been so snoopy if she wasn't gossiping about my nails. Diane did a decent job but her unprofessionalism and gossipy nature...well they lost a customer. I told them there are 2-3 other nail salons walking distance and this was the last time I was coming in Seriously made me very uncomfortable and I scolded Diane and told her she was unprofessional. She apologized and then lied saying she shooed her away, I told her AFTER I told the lady twice to step away. I told her she would never have come over off pedicure chair unless you opened your mouth talking about your customers. I am not going back. I have mixed feelings about this place. The lady who worked on my nails, Kieu, was nice but didn't speak much English which was fine. I think she did a good job. We'll see how long it will last. I bought a Groupon for Dip gel powder manicure. My nails were dipped in powder only once. Normally, when I've had dip powder done, they apply several layers of powder. I asked them about that and I was told this is better! My concern is a bit about the cleanliness. The tools used didn't look like they were cleaned or sanitized. The tray they were on was not clean. Although I saw they have a sanitizing machine, I didn't see anything go in to it or come out of it. The gloves I was given to wear (before putting my hands in the gel drying tool ) were stained and didn't look clean. I even questioned if they were clean and she said ya (they sure didn't seem clean). I needed a last minute gel manicure and came across this place and saw the great reviews. I must say, this place lives up to its ratings! Staff are super nice and they take care of your nails. When they they took my gel off, they were super gentle and careful. I hate when people file my gel off because it makes my nails weaker and thinner, however they were great and made sure not to harm my natural nails. At first I wanted to do a french manicure and then I saw they did holographic nails and decided to give it a try. My experience was amazing and the nails turned out so nice! Also when you do gel nails, they give you gloves to cover your hands to protect you from the UV light (so considerate). Prices are way cheaper than the city, my holographic nails were only $35! I first tried this place pre-pandemic. Wanted to love it, since I live down the street from this place. Didn't love it then. And didn't love it a few days ago - I was pondering why I came back... :( I got their most premium pedicure package. And the technician that did my nails... my goodness. She did not want to be there. And she was making it so obvious. She was an older lady with glasses (not the owner). She was not attentive at all. And would be sooo rough, filling over my skin, BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT EVEN LOOKING. She would just look around the room like crazy in her boredom, I suppose. She set the timer for the hot stone massage, and half the time while the clock is running, she went out to get a towel. Then got up again to get the melted paraffin. And when she did the massage for I think a couple of minutes, she wasn't even massaging. Just running her finger barely up and down. Again, looking around the room so bored out of her mind. The color I picked out apparently had run out, so I had to get up to pick another. And I almost slipped and tripped, since my feet were not done and were covered in lotion. When I got another color, that was out, too. Making me get up again and walk around the floor barefoot for the second time. Then, SHE PUT THOSE EMPTY ONES BACK ON THE SHELF! I made a comment saying, maybe they shouldn't since it's going to happen to other customers.... She took them down. My goodness. Because she filed so hard against my skin and was not caring while cutting and filing, every time I had to dip my feet back in the water, they hurt so bad. I don't know.
