So, Paulina is no longer the owner of Expose Nails. She sold it from what I understand due to the pandemic. I was in town and needed a pedicure so bad, so I thought I would still go visit Exposé Nails. I would like to introduce you to Ann, she did an amazing job and I would truly recommend her. She took really good care of me. My feet looks great and she was able to fit in a mini mani. The only thing I wish was that they did not pair the place white...it looks to bright and not that warm spa color it use to be, other then that I had a great experience! Wow! There is new ownership at this location and they are really striving to give 5-star service and succeeding. Very eager and kind hearted staff work here. I was really blown away by their kind hearted spirits and their strong work ethic from handing me a pillow, to getting me cold water, and proving great smelling exfoliating scrub, and making sure my nail color was the right one I had requested. Sad experience...please be sure you aren't in a hurry if you make appt. Gals do a pretty good job and other appts were only off by 20 mins or so... They were very accommodating when the bought the business about 8 months ago. Not so the other day!! Had appt at 1:00 pm called and running late come at 1:30, arrived and both gals busy. waited till almost 2 pm...took me till almost 4 pm to get out of there...very poor business...felt disrespected as previous yelp post said. My gal did give me fairly good service just kept getting sidetracked with other customers, finally apologized...But after being a good customer and bringing others here...I won't go back unless I find the same issue at the next nail shop!!! read more

The first time I came here it was because I wanted acrylic nails. Before, I visited several shops to see which would shape and complete the process the way I preferred. However, it was difficult to. When I visited Expose Nails, Pauline very nicely helped me pick which shape I wanted as well as colors to fit the event I told her I was going to attend. Not only Pauline but her other technicians also helped paint my nails and they always do a great job. I just had a very emotional reunion with Pauline. She is hands down my all time favorite manicurist to go to and one day she just wasn't at her old location and I was heart broken. At the point where I haven't been keeping up with my mani-pedis (it's hard to find someone you can trust and be honest with). I'm from Mountain View (her old location) and work in Los Gatos (her new location), and as I was driving in a small shopping center, the nail salon caught my attention and I decided to see it's yelp reviews and THERE SHE WAS! Her smiling face all over the yelp page! I ran in and we hugged as if we were old friends! Her attention to detail and outstanding costumer service is what will keep me coming back to her. Customers need to be aware that this nail salon is under NEW MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP even though the name remains the same. The bad reviews where from the previous owner. I had an appointment with Pauline and her assistant who are new and do a wonderful job! Her assistant does a wonderful foot and leg massage and has a great attention to detail. This owner made me feel guilty about using a Groupon I purchased. She said she did not want to charge $5 for the Groupon for manicure and pedicure. She wanted to charge $25 instead so I said why not tell Groupon to retract the sales and re advertise it. She said no. She would decline Groupon participants if she is busy. She admits it's her fault she did not review the terms of the sales. She only found out afterwards when customers come streaming in. Then she goes to say how some people don't bother to tip her and how people from San Jose are bad tippers than Los Gatos. I felt bad going there, so I left her a $15 tip. She didn't even thank me. This is no way to run a business. You goofed up and put the guilt on customers instead. Way to go. read more

Why isn't there a no stars option?? I bought a groupon special for Mother's Day. I called today to make an appointment for tomorrow and the lady I talked to asked me which groupon I purchased. I told her the $5 special. She told me "no, I won't take that" after arguing with her for a couple minutes and telling her that's no way to run a business, I hung up and looked at the yelp reviews for this place and am actually thankful I didn't come!! To whoever I talked to: WORST customer service ever. To the business owner: don't allow groupon to post these specials if you don't want people using them. I did NOT have a good experience here. The only positive thing was that the lady got me in when I needed to come. I used one of their deals, which would have been great had I actually received a manicure & pedicure. She soaked my feet in cold water, then put a little lotion on them. Nothing else. As for my manicure, it was the same thing. She didn't cut my nails or do my cuticles. In addition, the polish was very cheap and chipped right away. When paying at the end, she told me that my 10 yr-old daughter's paint ONLY would be $10. Then when I presented her with my certificate, she increased my daughter's price to $15 (she said because she put a few dots on ONE of her nails, NO design). I am very disappointed with this salon. Just got done soaking my infected big toenail in hot water and pouring hydrogen peroxide on it. Wasn't worth the Groupon.
