I decided to see a new dentist after a hiatus from teeth cleanings, and the experience was traumatizing! I definitely would not recommend choosing your own dentist based on online reviews alone, especially since Nottingham Dental gives out rewards (like price reduction for services) for writing reviews. I could have gotten swindled badly here! Dr. Ruth Yan at Nottingham Dental told me I have severe issues in my mouth including bone loss, gum disease, and many cavities (8). She claimed I need over $3,000 worth of work done including 8 fillings and a deep cleaning for my entire mouth! I did not have dental insurance (I have never needed it as a very healthy individual.), and Dr. Yan told me I should get it to pay for these procedures ASAP. Fortunately, I asked a friend for a recommendation, and I love her dentist! This second opinion saved me unnecessary work/damage to my teeth as well as a lot of money! This other dentist was horrified at what I had been told, and she advised me to avoid Nottingham Dental/Dr. Yan! I was told that I only need 2 fillings, and they were not urgent either! Also, no protective lead vests were put on me during my x-rays at Nottingham Dental. Please be cautious with dishonest, predatory dentists! read more

This is by far the BEST dentist office I have been to in my life!!! I just love them!!! Dr. Yan is so sweet and does everything she can to make sure you are taken care of and happy with your results. She walks you through every procedure/process and has a gentle touch. Also, all of their equipment is new and high tech. Her assistant Dani is the sweetest and most helpful person. She helped put my mind at ease and made sure I was comfortable during my procedure (even held my shades up on my face because they kept falling down while I was reclined in the chair). Who does that?! Nottingham dental... That's who!!! Oh and I can't forget Jason. He is the best office manager and does everything he can to make sure your insurance works in your favor and that you pay the best rate possible. They also have an in office "discount plan" that you can pay and sign up for... Other dentist offices might be bigger but I can guarantee that they aren't better. If you want the best level of care and want a dentist and staff that actually cares about you, your healing process, and financial situation, Nottingham Dental is the place to go. Just had my teeth cleaned and checked at Nottingham Dental on Katy Freeway in Katy. My family and I have been customers there since the 1990's. Recently, Dr. Quentin Andrews sold his Pactices to Dr. Ruth Yan. This was a good move for all three of us, three? Yeah, Dr. Andrews, Dr. Yan and me. They continue to monitor and educate me about good teeth health and this was my second check-up in a roll where I'm 100% good. That's not an accident! I look after my teeth, brush after every meal and floss twice a day. As they say, "be true to you teeth and they won't be false to you." I'm please that Dr. Andrews found and sold his Practice to someone with the same objectives that's continuing to take care of and 'educating' it's patrons on keeping your teeth in good shape.................... this is directly related to your overall health. I obviously recommend them to anyone looking for a dental Practice for themself and their family. read more

I can't recommend Nottingham Dental enough!!!! The team is amazing and Dr. Yan is extremely talented. I had a lot of cavities, and after having several negative experiences with other dentists in the past I was pretty nervous about going in to have my teeth looked at. But Dr. Yan and her team made me feel so comfortable and presented me with all my options moving forward. Needless to say, I've already made two more appointments to see them and will be recommending them to all of my friends. I even had two visible cavities on teeth at the front of my mouth. Dr. Yan and her assistant filled them and you can't even tell that I ever had cavities there! She did such a beautiful job and now I can smile without feeling embarrassed!!!! I have been going to Dr Andrews for 10 years and have had nothing but good professional experiences there. Now that Dr. Yan has taken over the practice, it has not changed. She is highly attentive, knowledgeable and at the top of her game which is what you want when you are in the dentist's chair. She is very vibrant and is so comforting and reassuring and explains issues very well. I would recommend her and her team of experts here to take care of the dental needs. It is and has always been a pleasant experience to come for my regular dentist visits. I was at a "corporate" Dentist Office previously. The place was a well oiled machine, but the Dentist rarely spoke to you for more than sixty seconds at a time. I really like Dr. Yan as she takes the time to explain everything to you and does great work. Also, the front office is professional and efficient.
