Shimmer is ALWAYS clean and ready to accommodate all of the clients that are in the salon. Second, the ambiance in the business - I have to say, I love the comfortable yet stylish decor in Shimmer. Brand new chairs (super comfortable for the longer appointments) - and new chairs at the washing and dryer stations. I love to see places that maintain their furniture and decor; no one wasn't to sit in old and dirty salons. I have to say, the best part about the place is Nichole! She has always made sure that I was in the best hands! I began having her do my hair from when she worked at another salon. I had to follow her to her own salon! Nichole has time and time again worked with my schedule; which can be difficult. She's made sure that I can get all of the services that I need and get on my merry way- lickity-split! The quality of care that you'll receive here is A+ - I've religiously gone to Shimmer for hair cuts, styling, products, and the occasional special service or treatment. I've never personally gotten a color or dye job, however - I've referred all of my friends and they have also religiously gone back! You name it - they can do it. Many of the stylists are very kind and they have friendly banter going on~ upon entry, you are offered coffee, water or tea along with snacks if you end up there for a while~ which can be the case if you do hair colors or a complex look~ I took a journey with Mckenzie from black to blonde, to brown, to red and again blonde. She always offers realistic and hair safe options to maintain my hair healthy but also giving me what I want~ she is very kind and makes me feel comfortable with asking questions and making sure I'm ok during the whole process which for me, can take hours seated while color processes.
