Dear Public, My daughter has been coming to this clean,…read moreprofessional ALWAYS caring and friendly staff office since she was in preschool. It's been many years! I/ we couldn't be happier, although my daughter has some physical challenges, the staff, as well as Dr Kristie, have ALWAYS been kind and extremely professional with her. I love Dr. Kristie's bubbly personality and love and concern for each of her patients, the staff, on the other hand, they make you feel welcomed the second you walk in the beautiful well-equipped waiting area which features a TV and a small gaming area for the children ( and adults ) to relax while waiting for their child to be escorted to an exam room. If you need a reference from a mom with a special needs daughter, call the office and leave your number, Sue will call me, and I will definitely call you back!! Much love for CDG DIANA and JULIANA

She doesn't have compassion and empathy for the children. She talks to them like their NOT children and like their NOT supposed to be nervous. First and foremost, the doctor talked to me like an adult, answered all my questions and explained everything he was doing. He and his staff were gentle and patient, which is so key to any dental experience- especially when you are in pain! I needed an extraction and he referred me immediately to a surgeon who saw me right away. The tooth is out! And the best news is that Dr. Quigley is setting up a treatment plan for my ongoing dental issues - not just telling me to come back in six months. It felt great to be listened to and cared for with compassion and understanding. Highly recommended!

Dr. Quigley and his staff are some of the best people. I had a dental emergency early in 2011 and…read morethey literally saved me. They made space for me in their busy calendar, calmed me down. helped me get on a payment schedule for my non-insurance, and explained everything to me in detail under I understood my decisions and my charges. Dr. Quigley took absolute care with my teeth, helped me with my sensitively problems, diagnosed my undiagnosed nighttime grinding, and helped me get on a WAY better dental routine [even though I literally thought I was taking the best care of my teeth - I wasn't]. No cavities in 3 years! I'm in Washington, DC now and I wish I could go up to New Haven just to go to the dentist.

After our son's first appointment ( 5 years old at the time), he recommended 6 caps (his fee around $5,000) and that the procedure be done under general anesthesia at the hospital; we were shocked as we did not believe our son had significant problems. In addtion to his staff not being very helpful, I asked to speak with him for 5 minutes as we had never experienced ths before especially our child going under general anesthesia. Dr. Kohn seemed aggravated but agreed. He then met with me for 5 or 10 minutes and sent me a consult bill for $150 for that brief meeting. Our fault for not getting second opinion but we proceeded with the caps only to have all 4 of the non metal caps break and chip within 2-3 years.

Steer clear. The hygienists are not friendly at all, and downright rude. Dr kohn himself is…read morestrictly all about the $$$. My 6 year old son had 2 cavaties filled. They fell out less than a year later. He then told us that my son might need surgery and would develop an abscess if not treated immediately. It was going to cost us thousands of dollars for this fix. I decided to get a second opinion. The second dentist simply stated that we just needed to get the fillings replaced and there was no abscess. No type of surgery was needed. To even put a 6 year old through surgery was just absurd, when it was a simple fix of refilling a couple of lost fillings. This brings me to my next complaint. My insurance company would not cover the filling replacements on the same teeth within less than a calendar year. My second opinion dentist had stated that I should return to Dr. Kohn to have the fillings replaced. I shouldn't have to pay to have them replaced by a different dentist. I said no thank you. I would not return to Dr. Kohn if he was the last dentist on earth. I mean that! I would rather pay out of pocket and get my kids fillings redone, at another dentist, than to return to Dr kohn. Steer clear of Dr. Kohn. Please!

Front desk staff - Friendly and efficient. I was able to book an appointment to see Dr. Aruri…read morewithin a week by phone. Medical assistant - Felicia made me feel comfortable and at ease during the entire visit. She held my hand and coached me through my wisdom teeth extraction process and aftercare. She's an angel! Dr. Aruri - knowledgeable and pleasant. He explained to me why and how he does things. He showed me my X-ray as he made his recommendation without me asking! (none of my previous dentists did this). He removed two of my upper wisdom teeth at once using local anesthesia without any difficulty. Since I prophylactically took 800 mg ibuprofen before the extraction, I felt pretty comfortable up to 5 hours post procedure. Mild aching here and there x 2 days after but tolerable. I was able to eat/drink within 24 hours later without any complications. I highly recommend Dr. Aruri for your dental needs.

What a lovely front room...and so clean! Though I was kept waiting in the outer room and then…read moreinside the exam room as well, I could overlook that error due to the upbeat trill of the front desk staff. I could *also* condone said inexplicable wait due to a well-priced ($57) package of bitewing x-rays, an exam in which the dentist pinpointed my bone loss and why it must have occurred (age and gingivitis), and the cleaning....hmmm....let me 'splain, Lucy. I won't lie. I've had more thorough cleanings. But this one was closer to meticulous than thoughtless. My dentist and her crew had a number of clients waiting for consultation, and I could understand the demands derived from this kind of practice. After all, they want affordable dental care for everyone. Because of this value system, you learn to notice the little factors that comprise good dental care as well. Good example: The tech who inserted the first bitewing into my mouth was very sweet and gentle when I nearly choked and asked her to remove the equipment. Outdated or not, it completed the job as she inserted the smallest bitewing and slowly helped me to become accustomed to x-rays again. With her help, we were able to progress to the dentist's x-ray overview and then her cleaning. I also asked about whitening packages and prices. After the dentist tried to inquire about the packages, a tech escorted me to the front room again. Jimmy, the most tireless representative, explained both packages (one consisting of several office visits *or* the home kit including the tray with your own tooth impressions) and the possible payment plan. I would have accepted a stab at Care Credit but I had to dump my last account in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It was best to bypass that road. The package featuring several office visits is $499, which is competitively priced and very impressive. I think I will opt for it. And in six months, I will return for my next exam and cleaning at only $88. Thank you, Dr. Dental. Being on disability, it's difficult to find ANY decent dental care. But you've just resolved this issue for me.

My first appointment a week prior to this one was cancelled by staff and rescheduled due to the dr needing appointments moved (per the front desk). Then with my new appointment scheduled the front desk staff called me the morning of my appointment to tell me they were cancelling my appointment since they couldn't get ahold of me. I told the woman i left multiple messages confirming my appointment days in advance as well as confirmed via the email prompt and via text. She told me text confirmations don't guarantee confirmation... okay so why do you have a text confirmation system if it essentially means nothing? Every message i left i asked for a phone call back, and never got one. The only time they call is when they want to confirm or cancel appointments and god forbid you miss that call. I show up for my appointment and the hygienist proceeds to tell me they cannot see me today since they don't have any of my records from where i last went, how funny considering i had my records faxed over to them well over a week prior to my appointment. She told me the front desk and her are two separate entities and she doesn't have any of my records so there's nothing she can do. That entire issue could have been rectified had she walked up to the front desk and ask them to 1. Look through their faxes or 2. By asking them to call my previous dr office and get the records resent. (Which as someone who works in medical office I've done both of these things numerous times for patients!) There's no excuse for the way this place functions, the patient care level is below zero & the establishment itself smells like a dirty bathroom. Stay away from this place.
