So when I call them to ask for credit they said i dont have credit but i owe double than credit amount. Now the question is what statement was true, 1st or 2nd or the conversation on the phone. And they are shameless enough to threaten me saying they will send this to collections if I don't pay. Somehow... I thought I could get by without going to PT. Boy, was I wrong! After 4 weeks of virtually no improvement on my own... I luckily found Dr Neha at the Elgin clinic. My pain and disability began to show improvement right away. Coupled with Neha's deep tissue massage of my wrist and forearm... we were definately moving in a positive direction!! I found Dr Neha to be very professional, knowledgable and caring... taking a personal interest in my recovery. Dr Neha and Leslie always had "eyes on me", making sure I was doing the exercises properly and with good form... which I really appreciated. Also, this facility is very clean. Leslie is continually spraying and wiping every inch of the place!!! I am 73 and have had my fair share of PT over the years... and the Elgin DPT Clinic, with Dr Neha Chavda and Leslie is at the top of my list!!!

The first time, for the first appointment, I remember her card was declined, but they ran it again and it was accepted the second time before she even started the session. That was the first $120 that we started to receive bills for. The second two charges, I have no idea what went wrong with their system. I suggested to the company that maybe she was getting charged for appointments that she had changed (that they had charged for the changed day), but they told me they don't charge unless she actually shows up and gets the service. So the last two charges are a real mystery, but they are obviously charging her for days she has already paid for. So the bottom line is that there appears to be something really wrong with their charging/financial system in that it thinks you didn't pay when you did. When I googled about this, I read about "billing errors" and "overbilling" problems that the company has. Now we have to prove to the company that she paid every time she went - which is going to be a real pain that I don't have time for.

In the air I went landing squarely on my right side. At first I thought I was fine. I had pain but thought it would go away when the bruises went away. I was so wrong. The pain was there on and off, and then it was always there. It was the kind of pain that I learned to live with. I made adjustments around it. I slept only on my back with extra pillows in bed to prop up my legs. I had pillows tucked on either side of me so I would not turn over during the night because some sleep positions caused more pain than others. (My husband did not like that). Special pillows when I sat in chairs as firm chairs were unforgiving and caused sciatica pain. I had a special pillow for my chair at the dinner table. I even had a pillow for my lower back while driving. I could not stand for long periods of time. I could not bend down for fear of the shooting pain while getting up. I could not clean or carry moderately heavy things. Forget about exercising or taking long walks. If I did, I knew I would pay dearly for it less than an hour later. The changes I made in my life to accommodate pain were ridiculous. One Sunday evening while I was going through my "survival system", my husband said, "I've had it! You're going to get you back fixed. On a Sunday night, he made an online appointment through yelp for Serene Chiropractic. And Monday morning at 8:00 am someone from Serene called me and the rest is history. One day, about 3 to 4 weeks into my care I had a very shocking realization, I was no longer in pain!!! My husband began to notice I moved faster without wincing in pain. I could grocery shopping, and go for walks. I had no pain!!! My quality of life improved tremendously. My daughter even told me I stand differently...straighter and taller. She said I did not stand 'old' anymore. Ha! Dr. Sojitra is an excellent doctor!!! He helped me understand how the fall had taken my spine out of alignment, compressed the nerves in my spine, tilted my pelvis, as well as, the ways my body was trying to tell me it needed help. My spine was affected by the fall, my nerves, muscles, and my whole body suffered as a result. He put me on a intensive 3 month treatment plan to address my situation. But Stacey is very rude, vindictive, insecure, judgmental, prejudice and mean! All those things get in the way and obstruct patient care. I have seen her be rude to so many people, patients and colleagues. As a healthcare provider myself, she displays minimal competence in her field. He was not rolled on time, had to ask for showers and was put off for days. Obviously had staffing issues. Rude night staff per my father who had his mind completely intact. In the end father developed stage 4 ulcers and sepsis due to their blatant lies. I was dumb didnt take pictures of his wounds because they were on but and sacrum. He wound up back in the hospital and spent the next 2+ yrs at another facility getting weekly debridements to try to heal the wounds. Some healed but one never did. He ultimately passed from another issue. Run dont walk from this place. This was 6 years ago.

While Dr. Palmer might be a great surgeon, his support staff could use a lesson or two, or three in how to work with patients. Exceptionally hard time getting calls back in a timely manner, as well as getting pain meds for hip pain awaiting a hip replacement that should never have taken as long as it did to complete. Could not be trusted to handle FMLA nor long term disability paperwork in a timely manner. The head nurse that was assigned to us should absolutely be ashamed for her very clear indifference to the situation. My mother almost completely lost her ability to walk while waiting for her operation. No sense of urgency or priority for her despite her debilitating pain. I'll always carry resentment for how things were handled by this office.
