We called several companies for a quote to install new network wiring, phones and a surveillance camera system for our new office in Irvine. The pricing was similar to others, maybe a bit lower, but Alex's knowledge and easy going personality made me feel very comfortable. The techs were all very professional and were obviously very happy employees. We scheduled our internet to be installed at the same time and so that Novatech can make sure the entire new network was setup and ready for when we move in. In the end, we were all very impressed with the installation, easy communication and the fact that everything worked and we haven't had any issues other than some basic questions. So far, every time I called with a question about the network or my surveillance cameras Alex or one of the phone support techs have been very helpful. Alex and his techs have been working with me on several projects over the last few months, and they have been very helpful, with Alex going out of his way to accommodate our needs. He's done several cable jobs, several network relocations, some phone system work, programming, etc. and all has been done quickly, thoroughly and accurately. He has always honored his quote price even as on one job the time went over his original estimate, but he didn't charge me extra. He also is accommodating to our schedule, often getting guys out a day or two earlier than originally scheduled to help us get the work done sooner. We have high expectations for customer service as to how the techs are to interact with our customers and that has not been an issue, as Alex and all of the techs are very accommodating to our customers needs and requests with zero negative interactions. You'd be surprised at what we've been through regarding rude and disrespectful techs making us look bad, but Alex gets this and makes sure that all of his techs treat customers with respect, courtesy and get the job done quickly and accurately. I had a existing four camera security system installed on my home with which I was bitterly disappointed. The cameras were so ineffective, we had a break in and couldn't even produce a video good enough to allow the police to get an identifiable facial view of the perpetrator despite having a direct shot. When the DVR died, that was enough. I called around and received several estimates for a replacement system, and I selected NovaTech, who recommended a six camera replacement system. I've had the system for a couple of months now, and I am a very happy customer. The equipment is top notch, and I love the NVR and accompanying software. 3 years ago Alex installed ethernet cables and jacks in my office. Alex was very easy to work with and everything has worked perfectly. Recently Alex added a couple of cables and jacks in my office and again, it was a smooth and simple process and everything is going great. I researched several companies 3 years ago and decided on Novatech because of Alex's professionalism and reasonable price. When I needed a couple more ethernet jacks in my office I was concerned that it might be too small of a job, or that the price would go up drastically. I normally don't do reviews but I made an exception on this case Unless you want to "THROW AWAY HARD EARNED MONEY" do not call this company! This Guy makes used car sales men looks like an angel! My cctv system was not streaming correctly, so called this company , Alex is the guy come out, he had great talking skills and smiles , make you trust him. However after about 30 minute visit he handed me invoice for whopping $200 and telling me how great his after service and warranty is with his company etc... So paid him and off he goes, however when I try to do streaming it still does not work, so I called him back to let him know it still does not work and did not think it would be such an issue, since he pitched so much about his after service... Surprise! he is so busy giving me an excuse why it might not work and so on, after several minutes of discussion he finally comes out few days later, than proceed to tell me my almost new equipment is not good and he will sell me another unit at $550! I was flabbergasted at this point, so I ask him than why did you collect $199 from me when you can't even get it to work first place? His reply was well I didn't know the unit is bad, really??? My unit is less than 3 month old so I send the unit out to manufacturer , they run all tests etc and send it back and telling me it works fine, he just did not know or didn't want to make streaming work. When I got the unit back, I try once more to get him to honor what he was supposed to do first place, now he wants more money and wants up front money before he even come out. What a SCAM this guy is! I have meet some shady characters in my time this one tops them all! I am out of $199 , and got absolutely nothing what so ever!!!!! I am real consumer been scammed by this guy not one of his buddy giving him nice review. Help another helpless consumer from duped by this guy ,he does not walk the walk! I felt safe and confident Alex Shell would do the job right because of his professionalism. I even asked a local and highly recommended security camera installer for a quote and they turned me down because my house is two story with vaulted ceilings. Alex sent a crew of three men and they were very respectful and made me feel safe. They would ask for my opinion and gave their professional suggestions. NovaTech installed a number of high resolution cameras throughout a small apartment complex (they only offer high quality equipment). Alex came out and walked the property with me and provided many excellent suggestions and recommendations. He listened very well in order to understood my objectives, desires, and needs before coming back very quickly with his detailed proposal. After reviewing, he was very open to some minor revisions. Scheduling was easy ... about 3 weeks to collect the equipment and schedule his excellent team of installers. On the scheduled date of installation, Alex and his team showed up right on time. We all walked the property again (together) to make sure we were all on the same page before any tools or equipment came out of their belts or boxes. They were all very aware that I was VERY concerned about excessive exposed wires/conduit (etc...), and they did everything they could to minimize that. A real professional installation job (and I don't say that very often)! Once installed, Alex returned to "fine tune" the cameras and system ... and most importantly to instruct me on how to navigate through the system. Professional, qualified, punctual, and fair prices ... it really was a pleasure working with Alex and his team!
