The DVR for our 6 year old 16 camera security system failed. The original installer was no longer operating, so I searched out Nova Tech on Yelp. They responded to my request immediately. Helped identify the source of the problem, the hard drive, and Alex Tech/Owner arrived ready to replace it. He then went on to tune up the system. For example, he reset the digital quality to match the monitor I had to replaced 2 years earlier. He also made certain that all of our remote iPad and iPhone monitoring was in sync after the change. I thought I had wrote this review, but I guess I didn't!!! So it is a bit late. I had Alex and his team install a security system to my house. We did 9 cameras, Alex came during the pandemic, he and his team were masked up and wore gloves for those who are concerned with COVID-19. We did have a problem with a gate that was broken, but Alex was fair with dealing with the issue. I don't know if It would have been as easy with other contractors. When I had questions about my system Alex would be prompt with responses and answers. If I ever move I wouldn't hesitate calling Alex and his team to install a security system. I live in a great neighborhood but criminals come from outside our area and steal cars, which happened to my neighbor. We had the crime from start to finish and easily gave the video to the police (not that they do anything with property crime in California anymore, but I digress). Alex was exceptional in keeping clear communication when scheduling, which made everything a BREEZE! Grant and Eder were wonderful! We had them come out twice to install a TV in our lounge and they did everything perfectly! During the first visit, after installation, our office realized that the TV was too small. We asked Grant and Eder to take it down, after they just finished installing it, and they were not bothered about it at all. We called several companies for a quote to install new network wiring, phones and a surveillance camera system for our new office in Irvine. Alex showed up on time and was the only one who was able to get me an estimate within a day. Alex and his techs have been working with me on several projects over the last few months, and they have been very helpful, with Alex going out of his way to accommodate our needs. He's done several cable jobs, several network relocations, some phone system work, programming, etc. and all has been done quickly, thoroughly and accurately. He has always honored his quote price even as on one job the time went over his original estimate, but he didn't charge me extra. He also is accommodating to our schedule, often getting guys out a day or two earlier than originally scheduled to help us get the work done sooner. We have high expectations for customer service as to how the techs are to interact with our customers and that has not been an issue, as Alex and all of the techs are very accommodating to our customers needs and requests with zero negative interactions. You'd be surprised at what we've been through regarding rude and disrespectful techs making us look bad, but Alex gets this and makes sure that all of his techs treat customers with respect, courtesy and get the job done quickly and accurately. I've worked with many phone/low voltage companies over the years, and Alex has exceeded the performance of all other companies, and I wouldn't hesitate to refer him, as long as he takes care of my jobs first! :) read more

I had a existing four camera security system installed on my home with which I was bitterly disappointed. The cameras were so ineffective, we had a break in and couldn't even produce a video good enough to allow the police to get an identifiable facial view of the perpetrator despite having a direct shot. When the DVR died, that was enough. I called around and received several estimates for a replacement system, and I selected NovaTech, who recommended a six camera replacement system. I've had the system for a couple of months now, and I am a very happy customer. The equipment is top notch, and I love the NVR and accompanying software.
