The second steak was better, but the delay was disappointing. The private room where our group of 18 was seated was another concern. The room was too warm (the management knew it kept say it will get cooler after 3 hour it did not happen ) and too small for our group, with two round tables that made conversation difficult. The overall atmosphere was not particularly comfortable for a group of that size. The service was also only fair. While the servers were courteous, the overall level of service did not meet the expectations I would have for a restaurant of this type. It's located on the second floor of the plaza and the interior is spacious and comfy, with a large buffet section offering various veggie salads, seafood salads, sauces, cheeses and cold cut meats, but the real draw is their big grill in the back. I was skeptical about what an all you can eat Argentinian steakhouse would be like, but once I hit the grill all of those worries turned into pure gluttony. They have all sorts of meats on the grill including the most popular cuts like tira de asado (short ribs), costillas (full ribs), entraña (skirt steak), vacio (flank steak), morcilla (blood sausage), a bunch of chicken and pork cuts although let's be honest we're all here for the beef, tons of grilled veggies and potatoes as sides, and chinchulines (crispy outside soft chewy inside small intestines) which I didn't expect to love as much as I did! My pictures speak for themselves but the cuts were delicious and meaty, and with the exception of some of the less popular cuts like pork loin, they were juicy without being overcooked. The chimichurri and salsa criolla (tasty sauce of chopped tomatoes, onion, and bell peppers in vinegar and oil - delicious!) amped the flavors up another level. They even had crusty bread to make your own choripan with. I went back for three plates of meat until I was so stuffed I was in pain, and it was totally worth it. To top it off, the buffet includes a dessert for each person, so we were able to split a bunch which were all delicious including the dulce de leche crepe, and especially the cheese and sweet potato jam which might sound weird but was the perfect balance of salty, savory, and creaminess. While it may not have the flashiness or fancy touch of a nice downtown steakhouse, when you consider that any of these entrees alone are almost the same price or even more than this entire buffet, it's a no brainer that Rodeo Grill is absolutely worth a visit whether you're visiting or live in the area!
