I have eaten at many STK locations across the country. The food at the Miami location on Monday 4/27/26 was the worst I've ever had at ANY high end steakhouse. My business guest and I both ordered The prime rib (which was on the Spring Feature menu) for $65 was approx 1/4 thick and SOOO overcooked the kitchen covered it in a thick sauce before bringing it to the table in an attempt to cover it up. Several colleagues who dined at STK during our conference have reported similar experiences with poorly prepared food. read more

Stopped by STK South Beach on a Sunday afternoon during happy hour and was pleased but not blown away. The service was good. The staff was nice and accommodating. We chose to sit outside because inside was cold and dark for a sunny afternoon on the beach. For drinks, I had the Strawberry Cobbler and Dragon's Flare. Both were great, although Dragon's Flare was a little on the sweeter side to me. I'd still get them both again tho. For bites, we shared waygu meatballs and calamari. The meatballs were a bit salty. We started with oysters , the little burger appetizers , and the bread , and those were actually really good. What we ordered: We did the Miami Spice menu that's supposed to be $60 per person. I got the shrimp scampi, my brother-in-law got the steak and upgraded the 8 oz to a ribeye. We added asparagus, potatoes au gratin, and extra shrimp. And now...the mess: That "$60" Miami Spice menu? Straight-up FALSE ADVERTISING. They charge you for every single item like it's à la carte. Check my receipts--how exactly is that $60 per person? Make it make sense. Parking drama: Paid $30 for ONE hour at the hotel attached to the restaurant and they tried to hit me with $60 at first. For what?! Absolutely trash parking situation. They sat us at the hightops where we waited about 25 minutes to get greeted and given menus. Don't know if they were short on staff but service was out of control. I got the salmon and mac and cheese 4.5/5 the Mac lacked a lil flavor. Not my usual but also my usual is in the DMV. The cookie dessert 1000/10 tasty soft amazing. I'm obsessed with this restaurant! I highly recommend coming to the happy hour! They have amazing appetizers and cocktails on the happy hour which makes a really good deal. The happy hour appetizers I ordered were the tuna tartare tacos, oysters on the half shelf, Stk and frites, and the short rib quesadilla. I was very disappointed with my experience at STK Steakhouse - South Beach, mainly because of misleading advertising regarding the menu. On their website, a $69 menu is promoted, giving the impression that each person can choose 2 appetizers, 2 entrées, 2 sides, and 1 dessert. Once we arrived, we were told that those selections are per couple, not per person -- meaning 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 side per person, and one dessert to share. This is not clearly specified online and feels very misleading. The restaurant was half empty, yet the music was extremely loud, making it hard to have a conversation. Even in the bathroom, the music was so loud it felt like being in a nightclub. As for the service, I won't even comment. For the price and the expectations set by their website, this experience was not worth it. More transparency and better control of the atmosphere are definitely needed. read more

Worth every penny! This was a special meal, not something we would typically do, but it was totally worth it! The restaurant is beautiful, the service was excellent (thank you, Pedro Ma!), and the food was delicious. Now for some details... As we approached the front door, a hostess greeted us. She was very friendly and conversational while using her tablet to get us set up. She then invited us inside, where another hostess directed us to our table. We were greeted by name and seated immediately. Visiting on a weeknight without a reservation was no problem. Although they had plenty of larger parties, as a party of two, we were seated right away. After being seated and given menus, we had a moment to settle in before our waiter greeted us. We were offered still or sparkling water as we looked over the cocktail and wine list. We ended up ordering a glass of Whispering Angel Rosé and an Espresso Martini. The chef sent out an amuse-bouche of ceviche topped with microgreens. It was sweet with a little kick on the palate. Next, they brought out complimentary pull-apart bread in a personal-sized cast iron skillet atop a wooden board. The bread was topped with blue cheese butter and served with a pesto dipping sauce. It was plenty for two, and we couldn't finish it! My husband's filet, ordered medium-rare, was cooked to perfection and was a tender, high-quality cut of meat. The asparagus was also delicious. As for the lobster, I've never enjoyed it in the past--I've always found it tasteless and overrated. But this lobster was a game-changer! It was flavorful, tender (not tough like I've experienced before), and absolutely worth it. I would order it again without hesitation. Even though we were stuffed, we had to take a peek at the dessert menu. We opted to take a slice of the Key Lime pie (the special that night) back to our hotel. A few hours later, we enjoyed it. I loved the zested lime on top, which enhanced the flavor and added a fresh element. The only thing we didn't love was the crust--it was too thick on the sides and could have used a bit more sugar. But we devoured the key lime filling! Before leaving for the evening, a manager stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. IT WAS! We were seated promptly and greeted by our waiter. Over all the food and service was good but no wow factor. I think for the price point of the restaurant they should step it up. They even had paper menus now compared to when I had last been here which was very tacky. We had the caesar salad and a shrimp appetizer to start. For my entree I got the lobster linguine which was really good. My husband had one of the specials which was the lamb chops and lobster tail which was really good. Gave this place a second chance after a bad experience during my business convention a while ago and somehow it was worse. The bartender that served me (Ivania) is still there. Attitude hasn't changed at all. Service was dismissive, unprofessional, and honestly felt like guests were an inconvenience. What happened to the strong bartenders this place used to have? At this point, did you hire your bartenders from The Home Depot? The service, professionalism, and training felt completely out of place for a bar that used to have standards or at least speak English. The staff now seems completely untrained. Communication is rough, drinks were inconsistent, and one older bartender was handing out random basic shots like it was a backyard party. Really disappointing to come back expecting improvement and leave even more dissatisfied. I won't be inviting friends, parties, or colleagues here again. Our server, Jorge, literally made my fiancée cry at our table and completely ruined our Valentine's celebration. From the moment he approached us, his attitude was terrible. Instead of being welcoming, he actually said we "should've stayed home and watched Netflix" instead of coming out to celebrate Valentine's Day. My fiancée had a few questions about the menu, which is completely normal ,especially on a special occasion and fixed menu , and he was unable (or unwilling) to provide any helpful information. When she asked about the Valentine's specialty drink, his response was: "I don't know, they just gave us this menu an hour ago. Look, it's really busy in here, lady." Then he walked away. At that point, she started crying. It had already taken us over an hour to get there because of Miami Valentine's traffic. She was already stressed from the chaos, and then to be treated with that level of disrespect and unprofessionalism on what was supposed to be a special night was just unacceptable. I spoke to the manager, Julio, hoping for some accountability or at least empathy. Unfortunately, he was dismissive of my concerns. Just moved us to a new table. To make matters worse, there was absolutely no attempt at compensation or even a sincere effort to make things right. STK has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, but after this experience, I'm seriously reconsidering ever coming back. I had previously been here on 2 different occasions and had a good experience but not sure if the quality has gone down since then. The I ordered the fried calamari, it was soggy, flavorless and did not taste fresh I couldn't even eat it 1/5. I decided to order the A5 Wagu taco as those used to be my favorite, It was super dry and cold. I gave up on the food so I decided to order dessert, I order the pumpkin pecan pie and I was only able to take 1 bite. The bartender notices and said " oh it was supposed to bring a maple whipped cream they didnt put it thats weird" the pie tasted like it had been sitting on the fridge for days, not balanced at all, crust was bland and somehow it was "spicy?" While in South Beach at a work conference, my wife and I decided to sneak away for a "date night" and STK came highly recommended from a friend that lives in the area. We were seated right away (I was a little disappointed with the location of our table - but it wasn't that big of a deal so I didn't say anything). Ordered cocktails - an Espresso Martini for myself and a glass of wine for my wife - both were excellent. We opted to forgo appetizers as we were planning on dessert, however they brought out an amuse bouche of shrimp ceviche with a delicious fruit salsa and some bread with garlic butter and chimichurri sauce. I opted for the filet with a side of asparagus and a bearnaise sauce. The steak was expertly prepared, well seasoned, and the temperature was spot on - medium rare (like filet should be). My wife had the lobster linguini. She loved it almost as much as I did my steak - didn't even offer me a bite!! We elected to take a slice of key lime pie "to-go" - which was just as good back at the hotel! We went to STK for a celebratory dinner of the end of football season (we work in college football and had recently had our last game of the year); and it was flawless. Chef Kenneth came by to say hello and give us the low down on what we were having, and what they put together in the kitchen was so tasty and perfect I feel like the words don't do it justice. The steak was a 10/10, cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth and butter on top was a delicious treat to add. We had a few shared sides: asparagus, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes - all were good the potatoes were my favorite. I swear I enjoyed the whole meal from opening bread bites to the main course, but the dessert had me saying "can I stay here, forever?" Like do you have a room above that I can rent out?! I have a passion for chocolate chip cookies, okay, truly I do. The "warm chocolate chip cookie" dessert is something I honestly would go back for just for fun.
