    Emily’s Memories Photography

We hired Emily Cummings with Emily's Memories Photography in February 2024 for our March 2025…read moredestination wedding in Punta Cana, and it was, unfortunately, one of the most stressful and disappointing parts of our entire wedding experience. From the beginning, communication was poor. Deadlines were routinely missed, messages went unanswered, and repeated assurances were made without follow-through. Specific issues included: Engagement photos were delivered four weeks late, despite multiple promises they were already completed. On our wedding day, our provided shot list was not followed, key moments were missing, and the coverage did not align with the 10 hours with two shooters outlined in our contract. My 24 hours sneak peek arrived a week late after I inquired about it multiple times. We initially received only 240 photos out of the 4,000+ taken, many of which were poorly edited, low-resolution, and unusable. Even small 4x6 prints were blurry. There are no usable photos of my father walking me down the aisle showing both of our faces, and the only image of him giving me away does not include me in the frame. When we requested the missing images and corrections, she refused to locate missing images or make requested edits, stating that further editing was not included in her contract, despite the contract specifying saying I would receive a fully edited gallery. After I requested additional edits, she told me there would be a charge. When I declined to pay for additional edits and referenced the contract language, she stated that she would provide all 4,000+ photos unedited, but only for an additional $3,500 and with a new contract prohibiting negative reviews and restricting us associating her company with our images. After declining to pay more or sign a new agreement, we received a cease and desist demanding we delete our own wedding photos, while Emily continued using images from our wedding on her website and social media to promote her business. Due to the failure to deliver contracted services, financial loss, and ongoing stress, we took the matter to small claims court -- and we won. As part of the court-ordered agreement, Emily was required to: Refund money owed to us for undelivered contract items. Redeliver all 240 wedding photos, these were redelivered in a resolution that was printable after the judge got after her for providing such terrible photos. Remove all images from our wedding from her website, social media, and portfolio She waited until the last possible moment before the court deadline to state that she did not have the funds to pay the judgment and requested a payment plan. In good faith, I agreed and the payment plan was filed with the court making it legally binding. Even after the court ruling: Payments were late multiple times She did not ask for extensions, but instead informed me she would not be paying on time Promised payment dates were missed, often by weeks Each payment required multiple follow-ups from me to receive what was owed Wedding photos cannot be recreated. What should have been a joyful experience turned into years of stress, litigation, and continued issues even after a court judgment. Based on our experience and the outcome in court, I strongly recommend that couples look elsewhere when choosing a photographer. I've included just a few of the photos I received... but wanted to note she provided me 3 photos of herself and her second shooter (her wife), not sure why I'd want those. The one with the lady with the hat and my dad and groom is the one I received of my father giving me away. The one with my friend kissing my cheek has a line down my face, how do you not notice that before sending this out.

Our Wedding was on 10/19/25. Did not receive any preview photos as advertised. Emily will only…read morecommunicate via FB messenger as she pleases. Sent inquiries on 11/3 and again on 11/17. She finally responded 11/20 promising to send previews the next morning and full gallery by 11/27. Neither happened. I followed up on 12/5 and 12/10. She responded on 12/11 claiming she had to purchase a new phone and could not provide a new ETA as she was waiting for everything to download from the cloud and she would contact me as soon as my pictures were ready and sent to my email. It has been 3 weeks and I have still not heard from her. Lastest inquiry sent 12/22.
