I have been coming to this location for well over a year, and I honestly feel like I have aged BACKWARDS. I have had many services here and interacted with most of the staff. They are extremely knowledgeable and passionate. They have recommended the correct treatments for my lifestyle and skin. Sarah is my current aesthetician that takes care of my monthly treatments, for which I have a membership that is worth every cent. Sarah is very honest in recommending what will work for me, as well as how to get the best results with the least amount of angst. The location is gorgeous and clean, with plenty of parking and very easy access off of 128. Their appointments run on schedule and it is easy to reschedule if necessary. They have a very open communication policy which is so refreshing. The promotions that they run on services are incredible, and they really do care that they offer competitive pricing. read more

I am not one to ever leave a review whether I have a good or bad experience, but this was just all together a bad experience. I showed up to my appointment about 10 minutes early expecting I would have to fill out some paperwork. The receptionist was in the back talking with an employee (Eleni) and there was another customer waiting at the reception desk when I walked in. They both tended to that customer as she was trying to return a product that wasn't coming out of the pump no matter how many times she pumped. As this was happening, I wasn't even acknowledged that i was even in the small waiting area. Finally the receptionist gave me the paperwork after about five minutes of me watching the three of them talk about how weird it was that the product wasn't coming out. I filled out the paperwork and handed it back to the receptionist but wasn't told how much longer it would be. It turned out that Eleni was the employee who was in the front helping the other customer the whole time and she was going to be the person giving me not only my first facial. but my first hydro facial. After being at the salon for 20 minutes (10 minutes early and 10 minutes into my appointment time) Eleni didn't introduce herself, told me what room to go into, asked me if i had ever had a facial before which i told her no, and she just started giving the facial. She never talked me through the process of what she was putting on my face, what she was going to be doing next, never asked me if the pressure she was putting on my face was to much when she was doing extractions. She also never asked me if it was okay to cut my face in order to remove and extraction let alone just give me a heads up that was what she was going to do. She just did it, causing me to bleed and have it drip down my neck. She wasn't really friendly, and I felt as though the experience was overall awkward. I felt as though she felt uncomfortable being in my presence. After my service was complete, she was the person that checked me out instead of the receptionist. And when I asked if there was a way for me to leave a tip, she was very awkward about it and said that I couldn't leave a tip on a card (which is fine) but i brought cash with me for that reason. After this experience I received an email asking how my experience was and to rate it from 1-10. I wrote everything I mentioned above, expecting it to be posted on their website or here on Yelp. But it wasn't, and I couldn't find it anywhere. About 20 minutes later I received a text from a number telling me that they were reaching out from the salon (not introducing who it was) and that they were sorry I didn't have a great experience. They suggested that they try again in 3-4 weeks. I didn't know what they meant by them trying again, because I wasn't interested in having to pay for the same service again. So I took about a week to respond to ask if it would be complimentary to which their response was yes. I was happy with their response that they were willing to right their wrongs. But then Covid-19 happened and I texted the same number back to see if the offer still stood for a complimentary service, and I have not been answered. I am hopeful that they respond after this review because I am willing to give them a second chance. read more

Really disappointed in the service I got here the other day. I had a deluxe hydra facial done and left the salon red and sore. Fully accepting that could have been normal, I woke up the next day to scratches and scabs all over my forehead. The woman doing my extractions scraped up my skin by going too hard and using her nails. I'm no esthetician, but don't believe that is normal. So instead of leaving a hydra facial glowing, I now have scabs all over my forehead. For such a pricey service, there's so many much better salons to go to. read more

5 stars, hands down! Right when I walked into Sophia Elpidaspa, I was pleased by the relaxed ambience, the cleanliness, and peaceful spa smell. The receptionist and estheticians were extremely friendly, welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. My skin was dry from winter before going to Eleni for a facial. After carefully assessing my skin needs and going over the different options, I got the Guniot facial. My skin went from dry to hydrated and rejuvenated. It looked completely different - she did a phenomenal job!!!! I will absolutely be back here to get service again and I HIGHLY recommend Sophia Elpida. The spa is also the perfect size for a bridal spa day/ girls day and they offer many different services. I wish I could give them more stars!!!!! read more

I used to like this salon, but I have struggled too many times with trying to book an appointment that I am no longer a returning customer. They must only have one massage therapist as they are booked from now until the end of January for a massage..are you kidding?!! For the amount you pay it's truly not worth the frustration. DEFINITELY worth every dollar for a massage. I was a little apprehensive to have a male massage therapist, but when I scheduled the appointment, I told the receptionist that I needed the best person to work out all the tension in my neck and shoulders. She said that would be Jason. She was right! Jason is the BEST massage therapist I have EVER had! I have tried them on Newbury Street in Boston, the Mt. Washington Hotel in NH, out in Napa, CA, among other places. He was very in tune to where I most needed the relief and tried new techniques like my jaw since I have TMJ. Best part was when I went to pay the bill- $100 for 90 minutes. He's worth more than that! He also gave me some exercises to do while at the office to help release stress. I had my first microblading session 12 days ago and I am loving the results more and more every day. It's worth every penny to have nice, natural looking brows without any make-up. Steve, one of the spa owners, is a wonderful microblade artist! He is incredibly meticulous and went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable during the process and with all the shape and color decisions. I didn't find it at all painful, but I hear everyone has different tolerances. First, he used a measuring tool to sketch the brows and make sure they are even and perfect before starting. During the procedure, he went very slow and would often change positions to make sure they looked perfect at every angle before continuing on. When you decide to get a semi-permanent tattoo on your face, you want a perfectionist who is as detail-oriented as Steve. This is not the time to be cheap and go with a place that churns out dozens of over-done clone eyebrows per week. I went in with an idea of what I wanted (with photos), and he carefully tailored the brows to fit my face. I love the shape he created and look forward to the follow-up session in a month to fill them out a bit more. The atmosphere at this spa was enjoyable and all of the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable for the high level of service you receive. I highly recommend Steve for microblading, and I also saw some beautiful lashes walking around in there so I have a feeling they do a phenomenal job at those, too. I was hoping to give this new spa a try. However, when it changed hands from the previous owner, the groupons I had purchased were cancelled a couple of days before the appointments I had made. I was planning to take my nieces and my sister for a spa day for their birthdays. I called the new owner to ask if she would still honor the price I had paid for the groupons and she said no. As a result, I will not be getting my spa treatments at Sofia Elpida Day Spa. I just went to Sofia E. day spa for a wax with Katherine Silva Nemes. I've been going to Katherine for years and have followed her from Beaucage to Balans and now to the Sofia E. in Lynnfield. It's a little far for me, but I haven't gone for a wax since my daughter was born almost four months ago, and there is nobody I would trust after that besides Katherine. Katherine is wonderful as always, which is more than enough reason to go there for a wax or a facial. However, the spa is also a very nice relaxed environment and the people there are SO nice. I was running late for a variety of reasons, and I called to apologise and they were so sweet and understanding. I had a wonderful experience even before I actually got there. I haven't tried anything else at the spa, but I know that I'll be back. For those of you that are diehard Katherine fans, she's at the Sofia E. on Fridays and Salon Riza in North Andover on Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday. read more
