Staff had always been nice the couple times I've come only had to wait 5-10 at the max. I always book the day before on the website and almost all times are available. Walked into NT without an appointment for the 1st time in 2 years and was so impressed that the owner recognized me and said "long time no see" and politely asked how my baby was! Wow! Talk about being customer focused! NT is a family run business and they really do an amazing job! You get the best bang for your buck in this place! Went to this salon for the first time today, last minute on NYE. I posted a message on Yelp to the salon after booking an appointment online to see if there was any chance I could get in earlier. I almost immediately received a call from the salon welcoming me in right away. Though the outside of the salon doesn't look all that updated or new, the inside is very clean and the staff was very kind and accommodating. My nails were a MESS! I took my daughter in for acrylic nails the acrylic nails were $10 cheaper than the gel nails. So that's what I booked online. Because we did not plan on keeping the nails. We were only going to have them for a week because of an event she was going to. So we didn't need the most expensive set. We had been there once before, and had the owner do her nails. They were beautiful at that time. This time there was a lady that did the nails. She asked how we wanted the shape of the nails? So I asked for a coffin shaped. She said that would be an extra five dollars. So I said fine. But as she starts to cut the nails down, I told her that they were too short. The woman got irritated, and said she was not finished with them yet. But once you've cut the nails down, there's nothing else you can do to them to make them longer, other than replacing them all. And then, when she put the acrylic on top, she put too much on. The nail looked stubby and wide at the base. Instead of looking slim. I really wanted daughter's nails to be long and pretty for this event. It wasn't until I got home and then I realized that they weren't even smooth on the sides. It was just lumpy and fat. And plus she charged my daughter for the gel set instead of just the cheaper acrylic set that we asked booked online. I was so not happy with the way they looked. With them being so short, I could've just polished my daughter's own nails, which the lady cut down, for the same look. We will not be going back there again. The nail tech's name was Lily. This was my and my daughter's first visit to this salon. She needed a pamper day to mend a broken heart so I searched for favorable reviews since I am not from the area and selected NT Nails. I called around 10:30 Saturday morning and was told they could take us in 15 min. But we opted for an appt about 45 min. later. I also inquired about any Mani/pedi special package pricing and was told there was none. Prices were typical $30 gel mani, same for regular pedi and $5 upcharge for french. We were greeted imediately upon arrival and there was only one other client in the salon. We were seated in comfy couch waiting area and provided with a basket of nail color samples from which to choose for our gel manicures. I inquired about one subtle pink with fairydust glitter as the base coat for my french Mani and was told they could do that. It came out great- see my pics! We were seated in our pedi chairs and water was hot to touch when dipping in toes but my tech adjusted temp as did my daughter's. They use disposable plastic liners in the bowl of the pedi basins which I had never seen before. One tech asked if we were in a hurry and need to have Mani done at same time as pedi. I responded no, but the "team" proceeded to do it anyway. I thought this might be a timesaver but am now wondering if it caused some of the crooked french tips on my Mani since the tech doing my Mani stood on my right side the entire time vs. moving to each side, which caused me to have to reach my left hand/arm across my body for her to work on it. It was close quarters for the Mani techs to navigate between the pedi stations and my tech (who was pregnant) did bump some equipment and supplies on to the floor from the side table where she had set up for my Mani. Lucky she was okay and did not fall!:) The Mani is filed well with only one or two spots along the sides of fingers where the color isn't completely wrapped around the side. I was glad to see the tech used the very thin brush to paint my tips. She was very careful while applying the french tip polish and took time to paint the vertical tip of my nail where she had filed. This is important to me in a french Mani. My pedi tech didn't speak much but was very nice. Her pressure during massage was perfect for me, but I have Hashimoto's and am very sensitive to touch so others may think the pressure to be too light. She filed my toenails but I notice now in pic that they are not filed in same shape.:( The tech who did my Mani shifted to do the painting of my pedi for some reason. My original pedi tech had moved on to start a pedi for another client. My daughter enjoyed her pedi but she was moved to a Mani station upon completion of her pedi. She did have shellac color that needed to be soaked off. Her Mani tech used the electric filing tool to rough up her color then set things to soak in foil wrapped fingers while she got her pedi. She changed her mind on her first choice color because the tech pointed out that the color changes with her body heat in her fingers (think "mood ring") and said it creates a changing ombre effect. She did specify that she wanted to ensure her newly chosen Mani color matched her pedi color but unfortunately, the colors are NOT a match, so I downgraded the rating for that issue. It was noticable to us that client walk-ins and appointments increased around noon, so if you are looking for a Saturday appointment, I would do walkin before 11:00 or call ahead. Overall, our experience was good but not great for a spur of the moment mother/daughter Mani/pedi appointment. We had plentiful color choices in polish, but in select instances noted above we're disappointed with color matching of Mani to pedi, quality of pedi nail filing and Mani straightness of french tips. We will consider going here again possibly since the techs were so nice, they had lots of color choices and were able to accommodate a last minute Saturday double appointment. 7 DAYS UPDATE:. I've downgraded my review to two stars. While the polish has not really chipped on any nails, I now have this orange looking stripe across the french tip of my nails- see pics. I do not use bronzer or tanners or shampoos with color enhancers that would discolor the nail. This has never happened to me with a french manicure before. I think I will try somewhere else when I next visit my daughter. read more

I just came here with my mom and I don't think I've been ripped off so hard by a nail salon before. I got thE "spa pedicure" assuming it was going to be longer than the express and after 30 min he was done. My moms was even shorter. If I'm paying $50 (spa pedi with gel) at least so your due diligence and make it an experience worthwhile. I live in Chicago where you'd think prices would be inflated but I can pay $50 for someone to spend 45 min-hour on my feet. And the added "calllous" treatment for the spa pedi is what most places include as part of their standard and only adds an additional minute or 2 to a treatment. read more

First let me say they respond quickly online to appointment inquiries and are extremely respectful and kind. I loved that I could view available nail polish colors online before arriving so I didn't have to touch on a lot of bottles to find what I wanted, especially during this pandemic. They had shields up and spaced customers appropriately to make me feel safe. They also require masks to be worn at all times which is comforting. I only gave 4 stars because I had to ask for lotion on my signature pedicure; it seemed like the woman was rushing and skipping some things that should have been included. However she did a great job with the sugar scrub. I also had glue all over my fingers which was annoying but not the end of the world. Both Sam and Claudia had zero issues fixing anything I saw wrong. I would 100% return just beware there is a fee for length. My nails were an extra $5 for shape and $7 for length (never paid extra for this length before) but they were very upfront and transparent with fees before doing anything. I wanted to get my nails done before the holidays. My usual nail salon was not open and I was in this area for another appointment. I saw this nail salon - just driving by. I saw the had SNS - an advertisement on the door - that is what I was looking for. I was pleasantly greeted upon entrance and the owner informed me he had just received lots of new sns colors the day before. I selected a beautiful red color with sparkles.
