I have come here twice now for my maintenance to my 2019 rav-4. The service is quick and has proven to be trustworthy. They answer all my questions-regardless of how ignorant they may be-and do so with kindness. The website offers a $10 off oil change service and with the oil change, they also do a multi-point inspection, brake check, and tire rotation. I also added the windshield wiper blade replacement. I originally called Christensen's on BeltLine, which sadly is under new ownership & new employees. I told Dan at Christensen's I was a repeat customer and had purchased my tires there. I went with my nephew to pick up his car, a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300, after this location overfilled the oil tank and it caused oil to bubble up. He had smoke come pouring out of his car. We dropped it off on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, went to lunch went back to pick it up and they said they had cleaned everything. The air in take the the air box etc. Find the video of all the work they didn't do and the harm that they did to the car by not connecting hoses and not even screwing the oil cap back on. They can't even do a simple oil change, it seems. And they seemingly don't care to correct their previous mistake. Sad, but go somewhere else for the sake of your vehicle. read more

Business was very honest. We had taken our Ford F150 to a local dealership for a "battery warning" light that was coming on. The dealership told us that we needed a new battery. Got the new battery and the following day the light came on again. Then the dealership proceeded to tell us that it was probably the alternator since the new battery had already been replaced. All to the tune of an additional $900+. Luckily the dealership could not get to the truck for a few days and we needed it to go out of town. We decided to take it to NTB in Richardson and the manager was not only nice enough to get us in ASAP but also did a full test on the alternator and said that it was working perfectly and did not need to be replaced. We appreciated his honesty and customer service to get us in ASAP. Will definitely be going back there for future needs. read more

I've been coming to here for years and so have my parents but this was the last time I will ever waste any more of my time. Usually do the basics to maintain my car like oil changes, state inspection, whenever I have a low tire issue, etc. because it's not far from home. Lost a long time customer after the hassle of getting new tires to pass inspection or in general cause they never seem to have my tire size and if they do only happen to have the most expensive one. Conveniently the only tire to pass was the one with a nail that I asked them to patch but they didn't even check the tire until the next day when I went back to repeat the inspection which just so happened to have "3 nails" that they were unable to patch so just air and send me on my way. Took it to discount tire where they only found 1 nail, showed it to me and were able to patch it no problem. Other issue was with an oil change. I have a 2018 with 41,000ish miles and the last two times I got it changed seemed too frequent than usual and something told me to go to Take 5 next time. So I did, they checked it and said I didn't need an oil change and have roughly 4/5,000 before I do which is a while since I don't drive far for work or anything else. Simple, I'm female not an idiot. Don't waste your time with this location. read more

A/C leak, water pump, entire frontend, tires, battery and something else that was bugging me at the time. Price was very fair. It's always something with this place. Like the time they tried to charge me $150 for an engine air filter replacement. If you don't know, you can do this yourself for less than $30 and it takes one minute to do with zero tools. It might be easier than pumping gas. Or the time they tried to charge me for brakes that were under warranty. Or that other time with the tires and alignment that was going to cost an extra grand. It's always something. If you need tires, get tires. It's the same as going to Discount Tire, except DT is usually ten times as busy and still does the tire change in the same time. At least at Discount you know you won't get a call thirty minutes later talking about how your entire car needs a rebuild. If you need a solid mechanic, I suggest Quality First Auto Service. Most honest shop I've been to in a decade. If you need tires or a battery, I guess this place will do. They get two stars because it's clean and usually get your car back same day. read more

Apparently when you call and make an appointment with NTB on Southwest Blvd. I is meaningless. Literally made an appoint at 3.30 just a few hours before for inspection. I showed up promptly and the very unfriendly, uncaring lady said it would be an hour and a half wait. I said I just called for an appointment and she says well he just went to lunch. Her attitude was basically tough we don't care. My company has 25 vehicles that we took there for service which will now to another company. DON,T USE THEM!! read more

I've been all over the DFW metroplex looking for a solid shop that's going to fit my needs. I look for three things only, and not a single place has been able to get all three. 1.) Respect for the customer. 2.) Realistic prices. 3.) Work that I won't need fixed by someone else. This NTB finally scored all three. My only complaint is that they don't do it all, because I LOVE these guys. They weren't just NTB employees, they were human beings. They were beyond welcoming, very realistic with me, and weren't trying to take advantage of me as a paying customer, or being a woman, so idk what the reviews about sexism are about. They went so above and beyond, that they put a part on my car that I preferred a different manufacturer for, had ZERO problem removing it, doing some extra work around the car for me, and ordering the EXACT part I asked for. Absolutely stellar. I recommend you only talk to THE REAL ONES. Their names are James and Armondo. Best guys in the mechanic industry I've met in this area. If I could leave 10 stars I would. I'm a very loyal car person, I love my car more than I love most things in life, and they could tell and refused to give me any less than impressive service. I will DEFINITELY be back. Slow and apparently understaffed. Nice enough service at the counter but they really should do a better job of stating how long the wait will be. Was told 1.5 hours and I'm still waiting almost 3 hours later. Now they want me to wait for an alignment. Heard another customer reading them the riot act for taking way longer than she was told. And another customer commented that they must be short-staffed because of how long the work was taking on her vehicle. When you give customers way-understated estimates of timing, those unmet expectations create frustrations and ill will. read more
