Used them in June 2023 for a set of dual exhaust on my 1961 Thunderbird. Very unhappy with the product. They screwed up the job with bad welds and pipes that were up against the Frame and Transmission pan. I Returned by towing the car and they were unwilling to fix the pipe against the Frame. I bought my Ford Edge here last week for a brake concern. We brought it to this shop due to it being highly suggested. My experience was awful. We had to bring the car back twice after the initial visit to get it fixed. The first time we received the car, the brake light was permanently on, and brake parts were missing. We returned the car to get it fixed. The second time we received the car, the car could not go past 25 miles an hour even when hitting the gas pedal to the floor, the engine was smoking, and it was not safe to drive. Each interaction with the team promised the concerns would be fixed, but instead, they got worse. Triple A Muffler is TOTALLY fine with allowing its customers to drive unsafe cars. In addition, Triple A Muffler does not check its work. The owner promised to call and apologize to the car's owner but did not follow through. Triple A Muffler does not honor women owners and does not care about its customers. Choose another automotive shop. read more

I had a situation ~ 2 months ago where I went to Dallas for a long weekend and got my catalytic converter stolen. I called this place, and I am so glad that I did! They were ALL amazing. Everyone there was so friendly, and so attentive. Bobby was outstanding. Not only did they get my car drive-able but he coached me in what would be required by insurance. My insurance claim was so complete that it was approved within a week of being submitted, with no additional information required. All work was all done by friendly staff members. What a great place. Can't say enough about this shop! I had some issues with my truck and thought it seemed like the transmission so I took it to a transmission shop, it wasn't but that didn't stop them from telling me they did more than just transmissions and hosing me for $900 just for my truck to show a check engine light that wasn't there before and be completely broken down two weeks later. I towed it to another shop owned by a friend of my in-laws, where they diagnosed it as needing a catalytic converter, something they didn't do. i found Triple A on Google and read the reviews, so I had my truck towed here. I was driving a company van while my truck was down and out, so I told them that I was in no rush to get it back, feel free to put others in front of me if they are busy. I towed it to Triple A at about 3PM on Friday, got a call at 8:30AM on Saturday letting me know what was needed, and another call at 10:30 letting me know I could pick it up. Picked it up, paid an extremely fair price, and took off - and it runs like a champ again. I've found my go-to shop for future issues and I'll definitely be recommending them should the opportunity ever arise. Thanks! read more

I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I walked in the door. I explained what I needed and was told it would be about a hour and a half wait before they could get me back to check it out. The wait time was accurate. When the tech checked out my car, he came to tell me what was found and what was needed. He was friendly and not the least bit pushy. I gave him the go ahead and was told it would be another 90 minute wait before they could get the car on the rack because there were two others in front of me. A little more than 90 minutes later, but less than two hours, they said my car was ready and check out was quick and easy. While sitting in the waiting area I heard them make multiple calls to customers telling them their cars were ready. They also made calls to update customers on what problems they found. The staff told customers "we found this and this, but you don't really need this or you could put off this until your ready". There was no pushy sales people and I didn't witness anyone trying to add aditional services to that were not needes. If anything they were trying to save their customers money. read more

I volunteer nearby every Saturday, so when my cars check engine light came on as I was leaving, I looked up the closest repair shop and barely made it. The car could not accelerate over 20mph so taking it home to my usual shop was out of the question. Triple A was busy (Saturday afternoon, duh) but Barry got me checked in quickly. It was going to be a couple hours so I hung out for 45 while my boyfriend drove from Plano to pick me up. I saw dozens of people come in and check out in that time and every one seemed to have a history and rapport with the staff - which is nice. My own cousin works at Firestone and even I don't get that kind of welcome lol I got a call (about an hour sooner than anticipated) from Scott letting me know my issue had been identified. Unfortunately, the part that needed to be replaced was $$$. Sucks because I am still trying to save for a surgery I need but ...had to have the car for work so I OK'd the repair. While they worked, I took their $899 quote and looked up the part/avg labor costs. Their quote was reasonable, if in the middle-upper range, but the repair seems to have worked(it's been about 2 months). Now I think I'm due for a brake pad replacement but still trying to save. I called the shop I have been swearing by for years and got a wallop of a quote, so I rang Triple who've quoted me at $300. That quote seems much more competitive than their first repair and worlds better than my go-to mechanic, so I intend to take Triple up on their word soon. Thanks guys! read more

I came here for the first time based on good reviews and recommendation from the Nextdoor app. I came in to get my car looked at. I had a oil leak somewhere. I called before I went to make sure they had time today. The guy said yes and so I went. Barry got my information and said we will let you know soon. I waited and waited. 2 hours went by and I noticed my car never moved from it's parking spot. I asked Barry how much longer until my car gets looked at. He said " oh what car is it" it will be 20 more mins. You're next on the list. Okay. I waited and 30mins went by. I finally gave up and asked him for my keys. He said oh but you're almost next. Then I heard a guy in the back say any repairs will have to be done tomorrow. That's enough for me to never go back and never recommend this place. My sister owns a tire store and this is the place she recommends to all of her customers in need of an alignment. Yes, you heard it...they do alignments at a muffler shop. She actually tried to do alignments at her store years ago and after spending a fortune on the equipment required, found it nearly impossible to keep a good, consistent alignment guy. AAA Muffler has a fantastic guy that has been there for years, so when you go there, your car is fixed and stays fixed. They do so much volume that they do not need to cheat people or nickel and dime them to death to keep in business. If you go on Saturday, it is first come, first served, so go early because like I said, they have a great reputation and are always busy. I know because I am a customer, too! read more

This place deserves 4 stars for the price alone. Great price for the work done. They were really busy and it took a really long time. I think I waited at least 3 hours. I'm okay with waiting for quality though and so far the thing I had fixed has worked for a month without a problem. When the owner saw that I had been waiting a while he asked which car was mine and went and found out that it was done and checked me out. I consider this good and bad and call them as even. Good that he was proactive to help me. Bad because, just how long was my car sitting finished while I waited? 5 minutes? 10? An hour? My wife and I use them for our company and the vehicles that we have we drive about 300 miles a day on each so we need periodic and regular maintenance and for a long time I was never trusting the mechanics I used to go to. Second time they have screwed me over and wasted my time and money. I refuse to ever set foot in their door again. Not only did they not fix my car, they actually ruined one of my shocks, and lied about it. And the other time they failed my car's inspection for emissions, so I spent $500 getting my car able to pass inspection, and it turns out it doesn't need to pass emissions because of its age. I would expect these "mechanics" to be knowledgeable of that sort of thing. There are plenty of car shops in Garland to choose from, so if I were you I'd check out a couple other places before giving Triple A your money. Also, I'm not removing a truthful and honest review so quit calling me. Thanks. And now 2 different people from this company have tried contracting me about this review, calling me a liar, and saying karma will get me. I wrote a review in November and I'm making an update. I would like to further my review to include extra excellence in customer service. They installed a new battery for my car in November and it wasn't quite hooked up properly. Long story short, it wound up running out of juice and I had to take it back in today. This isn't necessarily the best of situations, but Triple A handled their mistake exactly how they should. They replaced my battery quickly and didn't try to charge me a dime. This is how good customer service works. If they had tried to charge me for their mistake they would have lost my business. But they didn't. They forgot that my car was waiting to be inspected and diagnosed for the squeaking I hear when in motion; the employee forgot to write a "W" for waiting on my paper--Hey I understand everyone gets busy or makes mistakes-- Turns out they only had about an hour to look @ my car before the end of the day-- they told me it needed a $120 part for the squeaking sound. I CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY FOR MY WORK-- When I got into my car, the sound was still obvious-- so they DIDNT CHECK MY CAR TO ENSURE the sound was gone. I believe the day they looked @ my car they were in a hurry and just did a haphazard job @ properly diagnosing my issue.
