I was nervous about taking it somewhere because the back of the dress looked a little more complex, but she did an amazing job in just a week. There were no loose seams or signs that it had been altered at all and fit wonderfully on the day of the wedding. It was all done for under $100, which is a great value for all of the alterations I requested. Highly recommend! I've used NT Alterations several times over the years, and while most of the work was decent, my recent experience left me disappointed. I brought in a pair of shorts to have the bottoms shortened with a new folded hem. When I picked them up, I noticed a large knot on the front that couldn't be removed. Later at home, I found a 2" section on the back where the fabric was folded under the hem, which looked like a mistake. Neither of these issues was mentioned to me upfront by the owner. Additionally, I've found the customer service and tone from the owner over time to be less than friendly sometimes, which made this experience even more frustrating. If I had known about these issues beforehand, I wouldn't have spent $25 on the alterations. Overall, I expected better communication and quality, so I don't plan to return. read more

I left to withdraw cash from the bank but was unable to do so because I didn't have my ATM card or driver's license with me, making it impossible for the bank to verify my identity. I've had several items altered here. My only issue is there isn't a price list. I understand that price can vary but at least there's a starting point. I paid $15 for simple hem on men's slim fit slacks. I guess it's not bad but similar item previously was $10. Typical timeframe is a week and additional cost for quick turn around. I lucked out! I checked to see if the slacks were done on Wed when originally told it would be done on Sat. I'm sure they're other places that do good work for better price but I came because it's close to home. As they had quite a few positive reviews, I owed it to myself to check it out. Not only did the shop owner do a great job measuring my pants, she got them hemmed rather quickly! (I'd dropped them off that past Thursday; they were ready by the following Tuesday. I wasn't able to pick them up until the next day.) And the quality of the work is superb, with the prices being very affordable ($20 total for both pairs)! It's cash only, so keep that in mind. I was looking for a place that could tailor my pants pretty quickly because I was going on a trip shortly after I purchased my pants. It was close by to me and I asked if it was able to be done in 2 days and the lady did not have a problem with it! It was about $10 more for an expedited turnaround but that was no problem for me since I literally only gave her 2 days for it. The usual turnaround time is 1 week she said. The total for that was $22, which was the normal price for other shops when I called around given the circumstances. CASH ONLY!! So be prepared. I rarely need tailoring services, but I needed a the sleeves shortened on my new jacket and had good luck with NT's in the past (I went here several years ago thanks to the positive feedback on Yelp). She's very efficient - pinning the sleeves to the correct place, assessing the fabric, and getting me a quote in less than 5 minutes. I was in no hurry, so was fine with picking it up in 6 days. I felt the price was very reasonable for what seemed to me like a relatively complicated fabric and cut. When I went pick it up, she had it ready and waiting and it looks perfect to me - virtually indistinguishable from the factory. She wore a mask and there wasn't anyone else in the store. I'll definitely return with future work. It certainly seems like no job is too small or too large, and the pricing is better than I remember seeing from other SD shops. read more

Make sure to bring cash! They did not say anything about this when I was there to drop off my garment and stared at me blankly when I pulled a card out. They are not very warm or welcoming. They have no way of using cards at all which I found to be inconvenient. They will send you to another store in the strip mall with an ATM. The work was fine but seemed expensive. I had a skirt hemmed and it was $38 plus an expedited work fee which was $10. I didn't mind paying extra for a faster turn around but $48 or even $38 seemed high for what I was getting. If you have time to shop prices and explore your options, I would do that before settling here for decent work but high prices, poor customer service, and cash only payment. read more

Very much a no frills type of business but they have done an incredible job with all the different pieces I've brought in. My first time here, I bought in a chiffon sundress that was a bit too big for me... another alterations shop turned me away because they said it's too difficult to work with the fabirc/structure of the dress. The lady at NT Alternations worked her magic and had this dress fitting me perfectly in no time at all. I was soooo so happy with the results -- I wish I had before and after photos to post. FYI it's cash only! Prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality of work.
