Beware of their services! We had a pair of men's linen pants dry cleaned here. There was a stain on it. When I picked up the pants, the stain was gone but now there was a faded big spot in it and it looked like the area was thinner due to the chemicals used. When I spoke with the husband to try to explain our concern, he said it was worn out from sitting. The pants are not that old and the spot is NOT where the buttox hits to sit down. He started LAUGHING and said it was funny. I told him this is not a laughing matter. These are expensive men's linen pants. He said he was done talking about and walked away. This was very disrespectful and no way to deal with customers. Spring the wife was no help shaking her head and her voice was raised. I told her I was just the messenger and to not raise voices. The men's pants are ruined and they deny any responsibility. Beware of this place. I've referred friends to them and they have not been happy with the alterations either and will not come back. I went here off and on for years. Looking back, I don't know why other than a Vietnamese connection. She over charges, especially if she thinks you have money. The alterations are substandard and when you point out flaws, they explain them away. I'm kicking myself for going to her for years. Prices are not well defined. I brought my son in for alterations and Xuan said, "He too short" while pinning the hem, which really upset my son who has a growth hormone disorder and gets bullied often for his shorter stature. Came to get my bridesmaid dress hemmed. Service was really fast and friendly. Price was fair and the turn around was 1 week. When I came in for the alteration, she had me try my dress on and made the markers of where I wanted the length to be. When I came back to pick it up, I tried it on and it was perfect, exactly the length that I wanted. I would have given five stars but my dress has three layers, the chiffon outside and then two linings on the inside. After the alterations, they only sewed the two outer layers and left the inside fabric not sewn. I didn't realize this until I was walking outdoors at the wedding venue in the bark areas that I realized everything was getting caught on the unsewn layer of the dress. I had to constantly take things out of my dress and it wasn't easy or nice because they were tough to get out. read more

This was the 2nd & last time that my alterations were promised to be ready by a set time and when I arrived not only did it take a full week but they were NOT even started yet. The 1st time my daughter's dress was promised to be ready by 2:00 for the school dance that night & she hadn't even started it yet so we had to go buy another dress all together. If I could give Spring 10 stars I would! My daughter-in-law had taken her wedding dress to another tailor who had no business touching her dress. She asked him to shorten her train and tailor the bodice. He cut off the train entirely and then cut uneven pieces and sewed them on badly to try to reconstruct the train. He left her with a bodice that fell off her shoulders and had armholes that were too small and restricted her movement. With one week before the wedding, we needed a miracle. Enter Spring. Spring saw exactly what was needed to fix the prior tailor's shoddy workmanship. She evened out the skirt (5 layers of tulle!), came up with a creative solution to hide the unwanted seams, took apart and resewed all five layers, added rolled hems so the skirt looked finished and the train laid properly, and also completely redid the bodice so it fit perfectly and no longer restricted my daughter-in-law's movement. Not only was the dress now fitting perfectly and looking like a properly designed gown, but Spring worked incredibly hard to prepare the dress for interim fittings and to ensure that the finished work would be what we wanted. And she got it finished and steamed on a very quick timeline for a very reasonable price. After Spring was done, the dress was beautiful and the wedding was all we'd hoped for. We're so grateful we found Xuan Sewing and Alterations!! We're never going anywhere else for alterations. read more

I bought my son a suit online for a homecoming dance. The suit arrived later then expected on Tuesday late afternoon. It needed to be tailored so I called around for a tailor service that could have it ready by Thursday night. The only one I found is Xuan! Spring said she could get it done, but I have to bring it in first thing Wednesday morning, which we did. I took my son in Wednesday morning, got the suit tailored to the proper size.
