I have been going there several years now to get my dresses resized and they always provided me great service. I got my Jean and suite pants resized and it always came very well. I recently got Indian Shervani dress resized and they did wonderfully good, just like original dress. The value for what you pay is very good. Just a follow up on another perfect set of alterations. This time around I needed a suit tailored for a job interview. Kim took care of me, and I was being very particular. I loved her honesty. I honestly wish there was an option for ZERO stars. The minute I walked in, the owner gives my son and I a dirty look and snarled "What do you want!" I figure maybe she was just having a bad day and I decided to look past it. I let her know that I'd like some pants hemmed. So we go through the process and she later instructs me to fill out my name and number on a pre-printed ticket. I write my name down and I'm looking on the ticket where to write my number. She snaps at me and says "Just write it anywhere!!" Now I'm a pretty mellow guy and it takes a lot to piss me off. But right then and there I snapped back at her with "Okay!!" As we left the building, my son asked "Why was that lady so mean, Dad?" Right then and there that said it all: If an 11 year old can recognize poor customer service, that was a signal for me not to do business with that alterations store. My son's question prompted me to go back inside, get my slacks back, and go elsewhere where the customer is treated with respect. I went back in and told the owner "I want my slacks back." At first it seemed like she was resistant to give them back to me. She stared at me for a good 5 seconds, and then said "Whatever" and then gave them back to me. Pricing at this alteration business is affordable, but I'd rather pay more elsewhere that provides friendly customer service. Is it too much to ask of someone to smile and greet their customers? Apparently it is with this tailoring and alterations place. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

The owner is very rude and tried to overcharge me for a dress hemming the day of. Luckily I had my receipt. When I checked my dress afterwards, the white chalk she used was still visible. read more

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. I came in asking for simple button repositioning along with needing the waist of my dress taken in. When I came to pick up the dress, she decided to just make the back waist elastic much shorter, which made the back extremely tight and uneven all the way around. She also decided to only replace one set of buttons. I came back super frustrated, asking her to fix the garment properly, as I initially had asked for. She then told me I'd have to pay more to have it fixed properly. I should have taken the dress elsewhere at this point, but I let her fix her mistakes. Second time picking up my dress, I came home to the back elastic snapping because she cut the original elastic in half and sewed it down the middle..... Waste of two trips and $22. I now have a $150 dress that will never be worn. read more

The owner of Mira Mesa Tailoring, Ms. Kim Ho, made two amazing works; one traditional Vietnamese long-dress (Ao Dai) that's befitting of royalty; one contemporary white gown that made my wife look like a fairy. Well priced and finished my hemming in the time frame communicated. The woman is nice but don't waste her time. My husband called me while I was chatting with her and I needed to pick up (it was important). I let her know it would be quick. The call was less than 20 seconds long and after I hung up with my husband, I got the stink eye from her. So just be extra respectful of her time as I wasn't and it peeved her. She sure let me know it in her non verbal communication. Minus that little mishap, she did a great job hemming my 3 jeans. Her precision was on point and she used threading to match the color and thickness of my jeans. And for one pair that she didn't have the right color or thickness for, she was honest prior to doing the job to inform me of that and asked if it was ok to proceed, which then I told her yes. She assured me that the difference would be unnoticeable but wanted to let me know that the color and thickness would not be 100% the same. I appreciate her honesty. Will post photos of the work later. I found out that they offer dry cleaning that's well well priced compared to other places. I will be coming back to get other jeans hemmed and have my husband's suit tailored. read more
