Please, for the love of your hair, do NOT go to Sa'Vain Salon in Oviedo! AND, if you have an idea of a cut you want, DO NOT entrust your tresses to "Shay" (who is licenced under the name Shannon). I went in yesterday with my waist length hair, down to my shoulders was virgin growth, very healthy, and gave her the photo here with platinum hair. It's the first time in over 20 years I really wanted a cut instead of just taking off several inches. I was extremely excited. I told her I wanted the cut pictured in the front, top, and back. But please just make it shorter just right around the ears. I repeated this several times. My mother was a licensed beautician and I've had my hair cut in similar styles before, and while I'm not an expert on how to do it, I DO know when it's being done INCORRECTLY. I attempted several times to correct Shay, as she chopped off more and more of my hair, to which she laughed and replied "I'M the professional, here" (usually people who are ACTUALLY professionals have no need of informing others, as it's evident in their actions) This style should have had a curtain of hair falling across my face from the top, very corner of my hairline to my earlobe. She even stated the length should reach my earlobe. INSTEAD I have a heavy Justin Beiber-reject bang!!! It should also have a small hidden undercut in the back, that is only visible when you lift the longer hair in the back. THERE IS NO HAIR TO LIFT!! I have a mole on the nape of my neck, naturally hidden right at the edge of my hairline, it has NEVER been exposed, even with a pixie cut... This woman took CLIPPERS and SHAVED a 1/4" circle AROUND THE MOLE, making it stand out and making my hairline uneven!!! WTAF IS THAT SHIT??? I was sobbing uncontrollably the entire drive home, and off and on through the evening and night... This woman BUTCHERED my hair, charged $60 for the service, and greatly enjoyed herself in the process... How she got this result from the photo I brought in, I have no idea, but hands down, THIS WOMAN IS NO PROFESSIONAL, Cracker Jack needs to revoke her license... In the words of M.A.D TV... Found my old massage therapist Jodi! She now works at this salon that is kind of hidden away in Oviedo. They offer all kinds of hair services along with nails, massage and facials. The staff seem pretty friendly and the receptionists immediately greets you when you enter. Jodi has her own little room that is set up quite nicely. You have your choice of different aroma therapy along with the use if hot stones which I definitely recommend! A 60 minute massage is $55 which is an awesome price! Doesn't serve men. Contacted one of the stylists there for a root touch up and after over 24 hours was told they don't do color for men. This place is the absolute worst salon experience I have been to for hair. I came in for a bleach touch up/highlights. The hairstylist shay was nice when I first got there she informed me my hair might pull orange which my hair has never done even when I was completely brunette and first went blonde. She proceeded to foil my hair, she didn't even do my bottom half. She foiled my top half of hair and left the rest even though I had a lot of growth. As I was sitting waiting for the bleach to take she looked and said "oh okay it's lifting". So I assumed I was okay. I didn't get put under a drier nothing just sat there for maybe an hour. She took me to wash it out all she did was tone it NO purple shampoo. Suggested I get it cut a little which I agreed. Then I noticed my hair was orange and didn't pull for some weird reason. Iv been getting my hair done blonde for 5 years now and this is the first single time I have experienced this. She saw it didn't pull asked me if I had just gotten off my period ?????????????????? Because that can effect it??????????????? I told her no then proceed to ask if it was a new birth control??????????? She didn't finish blow drying because at that point I was so upset I told her not to. I then went to go "check out" she charged me 125 and told me I have to come back for a "color correction" EVEN THOUGH SHE CAUSED IT. I said okay if I come back how much it would be then and said another 125. I paid and walked out absolutely worst experience iv ever had I'm completely mortified. NAIL REVIEW FOR VAN AND TAN: Van and Tan were an absolute pleasure! Originally I had outreached to Van to try and get in last minute before I left the country on vacation, however our schedules didn't line up. Almost a month later, I outreached to her again, and to my surprise, she remembered exactly who I was! I outreached to her on a Friday afternoon, and was able to schedule with her the next day ( Saturday) at 2:00! She outreached to me the day of and was able to see me thirty minutes in advance, if that allowed for my schedule, which it did. When I went in, I was led to the back left corner of Savain (where the nail station has always been) and was invited by a super smiley young man, Tan. I have to say, I'm typically the 'let me surf on my phone in peace while getting my nails done' type of gal, but Tan was full of energy, was funny, inviting, and wicked easy to talk to. He chatted with me and got me set up for my pedicure by Van (who was finishing up with a client at the moment). They both did a phenomenal job, while ensuring you're comfortable throughout the process. Tan is AMAZING with ingrowns. Van specializes in acrylics (I don't get acrylics but I saw her work). They are both very knowledgeable of the health of your nails and she gave me really good pointers on how to keep my cuticles hydrated. The pedicure chairs are to dye for as well.
