I'm showing my age here. I remember the days when a person would stand behind a counter, smile, take my laundry, hand me a receipt, and tell me to come back in a few days. Now, we go to a kiosk, plug in our phone number, stuff a numbered bag with our laundry and put it down a shoot like the post office. Surprisingly, it works. Two days later, I got an email and text telling me my laundry was ready for pick up. Back to the kiosk, only this time telling it I'm here for a pickup, and a conveyor belt brings the items to kiosk. My sport coat even came on a nice hanger. It's a very slick process. But I still haven't figured out how to ask for spot treatments; or choose laundry over dry cleaning. And ultimately, I got a note saying that some stains/spots couldn't be removed. Nu-Yale seems to be one of the few dry cleaners in the area, thankfully, they do a pretty good job. read more

Service was efficient. They have a mechanized retrieval system so you can get your items back a little later than normal business hours. However, My dress came back with the same spots on it. I ended up using a damp towel to remove them. read more

I sent my down pillows here to be cleaned and put in new ticking because the fabric was starting to fall apart. They gave back my pillows with literally 50% of the feathers missing. I had my mom take them to her usual guy in her state, and he told us that he gets a lot of rework from this company, as they steal filling and do a poor job regularly. read more

I am VERY impressed at the remarkable customer service Nu Yale offers. I was in the Louisville from out of town and discovered the jacket my husband had planned to wear to an event was stained. Misguidedly, I took the jacket to the processing plant where they normally never take in garments. A kind worker directed me to the plant manager ,Kevin Bean, who took in the garment (although processing was finished for the day ) and said it would be cleaned and delivered to the Nu Yale location closest to where we were staying. Got four pieces of clothing washed and pressed with a different starch (delicate material) for an acceptable price! Also, they exhibit a great deal of professionalism shown by how they return your items to you! Don't bother bringing your own hangers! read more

I go to the NuYale on Holeman's Lane and normally I am in and out of there quickly with no issues. However, this last time they were having computer issues. They had ran my card and it was taking an unusual amount of time to confirm the amount. Finally, the sweet, soft spoken man (sorry, don't know his name) said he would watch the computer and if it didn't go through he would charge me the next time. I was thankful for this as I had someplace else I needed to be and couldn't wait for a long time. I was able to take my clothing and go. I have since looked at my account and the charge did not go through and I do expect to be charged for the last group of clothing picked up - and the next laundry group...which is how it should be. But the customer service was very thoughtful. I appreciate that. We switched to NuYale over a year or so ago and have been very pleased with our clothing/pressing/results.
