Please do not use CRDN for any of your restoration warehouse or cleaning services. Take it for me, I'm a month and a half behind schedule, (incident happened in Feb, restoration service finished on time in May, CRDN didn't return items until June 11th) invoices were wrong that were sent to insurance I had to have them corrected and sent again, and made it almost a part-time job to hold their hand and check on them weekly if not daily to follow up on progress. They didn't even clean my items and it still took them forever to get back to me. Please consider using another service or have your restoration company figure out a different solution otherwise you could lose your items and be a month and a half behind schedule like me! The manager misinformed me about being able to complete my cleaning in my required timeframe then waited 4 hours to let me know they wouldn't be able to. Poor communication. I took a long, pleated formal gown there for cleaning and they completely ruined it. The pleats are the entire focus/design of the dress and, instead of keeping the integrity of the pleats intact, they steamed them nearly flat and now the dress is three times the size it was when I left it in their care. I asked them to please try to fix and they tried but it looked exactly the same when I returned to pick it up. I called the manager and she was incredibly rude and very unhelpful/dismissive. She told me it was the dress manufacturer's fault. I then asked the counter employee for the owner's contact and I called and left him a message asking for resolution assistance. I received no return call or contact whatsoever. I only received in the mail the same flyer they gave me with the ruined dress about how pleats are the manufacturer's fault. We have been long term customers and I feel like this matter is easy to resolve from a customer service standpoint yet they obviously do not care. We are taking our business elsewhere after bringing them our business for 10+ years. Like other users have posted stickers are difficult, if not impossible, to get off. One on my dress was placed directly on the fabric and you can see the outline of it very clearly. Just wish they would have put it on the inside tag right below it. A bit pricey but that doesn't bother me for convenience and quick turnaround. read more

Let's admit that dry cleaning is expensive and most wash-and-wear folks prioritize these visits somewhere between closet purging and oven cleaning on chore lists (maybe that's just me). Last month, I needed a linen dress cleaned and pressed for an upcoming event. I went looking for a new place near Crescent Hill when I came across positive Yelp reviews for Nu-Yale. Upon arrival, I inquired if the dress would be the same price as that listed on-line. Without really looking at the garment, the employee said yes. I was dubious. When I picked it up two days later, the cost was indeed higher. I was told that linen was always extra (this was the same person who I'd spoken with before and she never mentioned this standard surcharge). Not sure how a new customer would know this especially when she asked and wasn't told. The dress looked terrific which made me very happy. I did notice that they put a small, tracking label on the dress label which I found impossible to remove. Kind of a bummer. After pick up, I received a handwritten, thank you card from the manager for being a new customer (nice touch) and was an emailed a coupon for $5 off my next visit. Impressed by these gestures, I ventured out again last week with two, ladies blazers to see if the experience would be different. Once again, I asked about price when I dropped off. Again, the employee couldn't give me a definitive answer which I found very disappointing. Pieces look good, but I can't get those tracker labels off my collars either. I was surprised when I dropped my dry cleaning off that my usual cleaners had gone completely to self serve so since I was already there I went ahead and used the kiosk and dropped my dry cleaning off. The problem surfaced after I picked up my dry cleaning. I keep getting emails asking for payment and to pick up an item that I have already paid for and picked up. I went to get a leather purse strap fixed. I picked it up and within 2 days it broke again. They only put two small stitches to hold it and glued it. They did a horrible job. I have tried to call them and now all I get is a recording and the voicemail is full. I will never get anything fixed there again. If I could give 0 stars I would. This location of Nu-Yale Cleaners has become my dry cleaner of choice. This decision is partially influenced by the fact that they're close to my home but more so they have great customer service. I drop off my clothes quickly via a drive-through. They also have a covered parking area in case it's raining, which is nice. All of the employees have been friendly, quick and helpful. My clothes have turned out great. And while I am usually told that my clothes will be ready after 5 p.m. the following day, they've always been done sooner than that. And I know this because they send me an email when my clothes are ready. Nu-Yale also frequently emails coupons and have been involved with some great philanthropic efforts around town. went to Nu-Yale only three times. I am new to the area and it is close to my home. They lost my husband's shirts for one. And right before a trip on our way out of town. Jennifer (the manager) told me to take my husband's pants (and NOT pay for them) since they lost the shirts, and she would call when they found the shirts. She actually asked me to step aside so she could "get rid of these people" that were lining up behind me. Those people were the customers. Yes, that is how she referred to her customers that show up at the business where she works and keep her employed. She did not call me letting me know she found the shirts, so I went back after we got back from our trip; 4 days later. Luckily, they located my husband's shirts. Apparently, they were delivered to the wrong store location. When I picked up the shirts, the bill was for $53.?? (And change). I prematurely put my debit card in, after realizing that was too much for three shirts. Sherry stated that she didn't know how to do that, so she called Jennifer (the store manager). She put me on the phone with Jennifer and she explained that they weren't able to refund me and I was being charged for the three shirts and the paints that she gave me on the day of the missing shirts. I told her that she offered me to take them and never told me she would charge me. I figured this was a "do good" since they messed up and lost the shirts and she was "trying" to show me customer service. Apparently not. There was no apology on the day of the missing shirts or the day I returned to find them. No discount, no customer service. Jennifer told me she could comp me on my next visit. I explained to her that there would be no next visit. I took my shirts and will never return to this store or franchise. read more

I have had numerous occasions when shirts had buttons smashed. On one occasion, every button on a vintage suit was chipped or broken. Most recently, I took 2 linens shirts to be cleaned and both came back with tears in the same places--clearly, machine or operator error since both were similarly damaged, and yet Nu Yale refused to pay to replace the older of the two shirts. I once tried to use their shoe repair service and that was a series of delays and missteps and redos. On top of everything else, they are excruciatingly expensive. I have been a patient and loyal customer for over 20 years. The two shirts coming back destroyed is the last straw, though. I will never use Nu Yale again. read more

I just received an email from Nu-Yale claiming to save 20% to restore leather coats; advertising for Highlander Point, IN. Consider this a warning that they don't know what they are doing when it comes to restoring leather coats! They all but ruined my coat and didn't do anything about it and wouldn't give me a refund!! I went to pick my coat up, saw the marks, asked them to fix it, after assurance they would I went back a second time to pick it up. The same marks and it didn't look like they tried to do anything about it. I asked for refund but was told I'd have to ask corporate office. I did and never got a reply. I eat the mistake to trust Nu-Yale, but advertise for them every chance I get NOT to use for leather restoration. read more

Whatever vendor they use to do alterations is awful. I had a zipper replaced on a pair of jeans that came off within two weeks. I took my jeans back to get the zipper replaced again and it's been over three weeks. I received a call a week ago saying they'd be ready in a day and it's been 7 and they're still not ready for pick up. Bottom line - If you have anything that needs alterations look elsewhere or take it directly to the alteration shop yourself and cut out the middleman. read more

Please read all the negative reviews before deciding on using this service. I have never written a negative review on any website, but I do not wish the absolutely terrible service that I have received over the past year on my biggest enemy. Experiences: 1. I have had two suits ruined by their "dry cleaning." Much of their clothes are charged at dry cleaning rates, but are laundered like anything else. Two Hugo Boss suits were returned to me unraveling at the seams--two suits that were less than two years old. 2. I live in the Axis Building of condominiums on Lexington and Payne. The leasing office recommends NuYale Cleaners to its residents. If you live at this building, do yourself a favor and get your clothes cleaned at another facility. I will do my best to get the word out to our Axis community that this business is not up to any standards. 3. I brought a custom-made derby jacket to NuYale to be dry cleaned after the derby. The jacket was worn a single time. When I took the jacket out of the wrapping from NuYale, there were stains all over the entire fabric. Stains covered the front, back and the sleeves. It was egregious. I could understand one stain, but sending back a sport coat in this condition was an atrocity. After I forwarded my concerns to their manager, Tracy, she said that there was nothing they could do to rectify the situation. Moreover, she stated that if I wanted them to try to remove the stains that THEY INFLICTED, that I would have to pay full price for another cleaning treatment. Please, do yourself a favor. Stay away from this facility. Their service is poor. The quality of work is poorer, and the manager, Tracy, is unapproachable. It is a complete disgrace that this "business" can stay afloat. Never lost a shirt here, they've replaced buttons (instead of ripping them off), and I left my iPod in my pants one time and they took care of it. I brought my crepe wedding gown here and they did an incredible job cleaning it. I was sure to tell them the specifics of a stain on the side (wood polish from leaning against a wall) and I am pretty sure this info helped them better treat and remove the stain. The dress legit looks like new. I opted NOT to do the wedding dress "preservation", as I think it's a sham (I'm an archivist and I just don't buy it) but the cleaning itself was perfect. If you take your wedding dress here don't be alarmed when it takes forever. They failed to tell me that all wedding dresses take at least a month, so when my due date came and went I was totally freaked that the dress was gone forever, but the manager was super nice and explained how the gal working garment intake must have misinformed me re: finish date. As for regular dry cleaning: we use Nu Yale for our clothing as well as wool blankets and down comforters and have always been happy. read more

It's difficult to rate Nu-Yale. For service I would give them 4 stars but for price- 2 so I am going in the middle. Why is dry cleaning so dang expensive? I like the convenience of pick up and drop off option. There is a service for Nu-Yale that comes to my work and it is so handy. I just bring my clothes in a bag they provide and 2-3 days later they come back an drop off my freshly cleaned clothes. The problem? It is super pricey. I had one blazer jacket and 2 pencil skirts cleaned (no stains or anything) and it was $36. Ouch! I basically try really hard to keep my dry clean only items as clean as possible and use the service sparingly I do have to say though, I would trust Nu-Yale to clean important items. read more

DO NOT USE NU YALE CLEANERS. On June 23 received an e-mail that they would be by to pick up shirts (I had way to many Covid-19) the next day. We put them out and never heard a thing. On July 3 they came by saying they were going to pick up shirts. WHATTF? So long story short we have documentation of e-mail, store manager Debbie Rowan said "that's an automatic e-mail that goes out, we didn't pick up shirts, so we can't do anything." Here's email I sent to NU YALE on 6/30 which they never responded to until today when I stopped by store and got Rowan's number. "Paul Seebeck here. I know you've been talking to Mindy about this but when you send an email and say your driver will be by to pick up your (mine - had too many favorite shirts and Mindy's had a favorite wool sweater) and then don't do it, that's a problem that is not just mine, it's yours as well. I know it's a pandemic, but if you can't deliver on what you say then stop running your ads for pickup and great deal. Turns out it wasn't. I expect you to do your shared part in making this right, if not you can expect many social media posts, etc and reviews that will not be favorable to you. I feel like what I've heard from Mindy is that you blew her off like it wasn't your fault, well guess what, there's shared responsibility here. I took three coats to be cleaned and two of them came back satisfactory. The third came back covered in animal hair and so much smaller than when I dropped it off that I could not get my arms in my sleeves. I was offered a lint roller if I brought it back that evening. I was unhappy with this solution. In regards to the shrinkage, I was told that the coat had been analyzed and was deemed to have no signs of shrinkage and wasn't offered so much as an apology. Really wish I could give them 0 stars but then I couldn't leave a review. I left highland cleaners due to the awful smell and residue they leave on clothing. I decided to try Nu Yale regardless of the limited and bad reviews. At first, super nice and clothing came back fine. A month later my skirt had a new stain on it and missing the clasp. I asked them to re-clean and put a new clasp on since this happened while in their care. My husband picked the skirt up, charged him. He didn't know but then they wouldn't refund the account. Dumb me kept going back, mainly out of convenience. A shrunk sweater and stains not being removed without any notification later I decided to finally make a switch to Parrot (TBC on them). I am now getting my summer clothing out (still hung up from dry cleaners) and I have to take back majority of the clothing cleaned by Nu Yale clothing to get recleaned. Plus they are super expensive. By far the worse dry cleaners I've ever experienced. They RUIN garments. If you bring anything to them it is guaranteed to come back to you in worse shape. Worst experience with a dry cleaners in my life. Flew in from out of town for the derby, clothes were supposed to be done for the races on Friday. They were not done on Friday or Saturday morning. I had to find something completely different to wear to the races. Then I come in on Monday before my flight and the they still do not have my clothes. Unbelievable. Recently moved to Louisville area and they were close to my new residence. Dropped off my cleaning and store did good job. Found out they provided a pickup delivery in my building and started using the service. No pick up receipts provided. Hard to prove. Good stuff you guys. Soon started experiencing broken buttons on collars that did not get repaired when we returned them. Repaired our own. Store said not their problem and when we complained we were told that service went to another location. Again good stuff. So now they just flat out lose one batch of shirts to be laundered and we have not had any resolution to date over a month now. Just a run around. I have moved on to another company and I recommend never to use these people. read more

LOVE this place! They must know my car now because my clothes are set out before I walk in the door! (which is also awesome considering my twin sister comes here too and they know which twin I am!) The fact that they are "green" makes them even better and better for my clothes. Forget cheap wire hangers which are bad for silk tops, there plastic hangers could actually be reused! I've been leaving bags full of shirts to be cleaned every couple of weeks for the last six months. Every time I've gone to pick them up some of the shirts have had to be sent back because of issues with the pressing or broken buttons. They've pressed wrinkles into my clothes at least 20 times in the last 6 months and broken at least 5 buttons on dress shirts. The staff is super friendly and easy to deal with but clearly something isn't working in the factory. It's amazing how they force you to pay for your clothes before showing them to you. Plus - it costs $3.00 per shirt. Don't waste your money with these people. read more

They then lied about attempting to fix it, and when I confronted them about it they accused me of gaining weight. Seriously? I had worn it 3 days before dropping it off. I dropped my work uniforms off on October 23 and they were supposed to be back October 25. My uniforms were not ready on October 25 as promised. Tracy, who works behind the desk, was unapologetic about the uniforms not being ready. I had to work the next day and was left without any uniform! I had to borrow a uniform from a coworker. How embarrassing! When I went to pick up My uniform, Tracy was there again. She kept giving excuse after excuse Of why the uniforms were late. They actually were not even ready for pick up until October 27! If you need your dry cleaning ready by the date promised on the receipt, do not use this place! I will never ever use this place again. And, Tracy is very rude, never apologized once for the company not returning to uniforms as promised. On October 25 Tracy said "our policy clearly states pick up dates are not guaranteed!" They could have at least notified me the clothes were going to be ready late. When I went to pick them up after October 27 she again never apologized and used the excuse that she is working alone. I go to the NuYale on Holeman's Lane and normally I am in and out of there quickly with no issues. However, this last time they were having computer issues. They had ran my card and it was taking an unusual amount of time to confirm the amount. Finally, the sweet, soft spoken man (sorry, don't know his name) said he would watch the computer and if it didn't go through he would charge me the next time. I was thankful for this as I had someplace else I needed to be and couldn't wait for a long time. I was able to take my clothing and go. I have since looked at my account and the charge did not go through and I do expect to be charged for the last group of clothing picked up - and the next laundry group...which is how it should be. But the customer service was very thoughtful. I appreciate that. We switched to NuYale over a year or so ago and have been very pleased with our clothing/pressing/results.
