We ordered the following to share: Pad Thai (chicken) + Peanut Sweet Potato Curry + Beef Stir fry! ALL of them were amazing! The Beef stir fry had a slight kick to it but mostly flavorful spice and not "I'm sweating and my tongue is falling off spice!" This yummy Thai spot recently moved from a more Northern location up the street and I can't wait to go back. The lunch special was delicious and the price was spot on. My only feedback would be to make the atmosphere more cozy and unique. Right now it's got that drabness with the plain floors and tables. Since you're at the mouth of the cottonwoods, why not embrace the more mountainous regions of Asia and add some of those touches? Great Thai food! We live locally close to Nuan's and decided to give this place a try last year. Since then we have been back a few times and it's always nice to have some Thai food close by. My husband gets the Drunken Noodles and I get the Red Curry with chicken. Their portions sizes are decent and the food is pretty dang good! The reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because there are other Thai places that I prefer more but I really do think Nuan's serves some great, authentic Thai food! read more

We went on a lunch date on a Saturday to this little Thai place. The food was very delicious. We got the curry puffs, massaman chicken curry, and penang curry. It was my first time having the curry puffs but I totally think they're a food I'll find in heaven - it was that yummy. The massaman chicken was a generous portion (got the dinner portion even though it was lunch time) and I had some left over for the next day. The penang curry was very spicy even though we didn't ask to raise the spice level, so just be aware of that. I think the massaman was a spice level 1 and the penang a spice level 2 but the actual spiciness was quite dramatic. The restaurant has an open seating vibe so don't go here if you're looking for a private eating area. There was a table on the far end of the restaurant who had a guest with a loud voice and it was distracting. That's not necessarily the restaurant's fault (or the speaker's), just something to take note of. Our server wore a mask and stood about 6 feet back from our table whenever he spoke to us. He swooped in and cleared the table and refilled our waters as needed. Otherwise, it was nice to 1) not have constant interruptions and 2) feel a little safer during these weird COVID times. We saw that Nuan's Thai Kitchen was highly rated on Yelp so we decided to try it out tonight. Yesss, it lives up to the positive reviews! We ordered the chicken curry panang (panaeng), pad Thai, dumpling soup, and pork fried rice. For a couple bucks more we shared each dish family-style. The food was fresh and delicious, with impressive portions. On the menu, they display a numbered scale 1-5 for rating dish spiciness; we found it to be very helpful and accurate. Something that stood out to me: the restaurant is super clean. Seriously, I noticed that there wasn't a crumb on their floor anywhere. It was spotless! The waitstaff was very kind, and generous with refills of rice, quick to refill drinks, etc. We enjoyed this Thai restaurant so much. We will definitely be back. read more

Anyplace that serves up a mean khao soi is automatically lifted in my estimation. And since Nuan's made a really nice version of it, I'd go back just for that. Part curry, part noodle; khao soi is a really special treat that just seems to get no love from many other Thai joints. When I inquired about it, I hadn't even looked at the menu, and they looked at me as if I was an alien. But a good alien. As they explained that yes, they do have it on the menu, they also asked why I had asked about it and were very excited to serve it to me. We ordered a few other dishes to try--a curry, a noodle dish, and the tom kha gai soup, and it all hit the table about the same time with love from the kitchen. The soup was a hit, khao soi was also popular. The noodle dish was pretty good--very similar to other noodle dishes elsewhere but no complaints. And I really wanted to love the curry more, but it had an off taste. Not like it was bad, but it didn't do that complex curry flavor that I've grown to love; instead it was a little one-note and stayed a little flat. A little while into the meal, the chef herself came out to say hi. She's very passionate about what she does, and her focus is trying to be as faithful to original Thai recipes as she can. They eschew all the sweetness of Americanized Thai and go for the herb and spice flavors more localized to the region. That's going to mess with your senses a little bit, but she's really dedicated to the proposition of it and you'll need to adjust your expectations. Once you do, I think it's actually a really nice addition to the Thai scene in Utah. I have to mention the same things that others have, though. They NEED to address the situation at the front. If someone comes in, they need to have a server stand, or at the very least some kind of signage to direct people around that wall. A "Please wait to be seated" or "Come in this way" or something. It was totally awkward and it's turning people off. Secondly, they need some kind of hold music in there. The young server was super nice, but he was following along our conversation from across the room and while it wasn't anything private, it was still awkward when he jumped in. Other diners don't want to listen to each other, either. These things made it sort of awkward and I guarantee are driving people away. Those are easy fixes. Hopefully they're addressed, and this will grow into a nice, neighborhood Thai spot. read more

I was in the area so I googled "Thai Places" near me or I would have never know about this place. I got pad thai with two egg rolls for a total of ten bucks. I was seated and served very promptly. Our family has eaten here for over a year at least 2-3 times per month. In the past two months, the overall service and quality of the food has gone completely down hill. In our past few visits.. we have left each time feeling like we were more of an inconvenience to them vs. customers who wanted to support their business. In our visits this past month, we had to leave our table to find staff for a refill, waited 25 minutes for a check (when we were the only people in the restaurant), received cold food and watery curry, asked two different waiters 5 times for an order, and were told that there was "nothing they could do" when they brought out our order and it was incorrect. We have loved this place and always recommended it to friends and family, but after our last experience- we will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant, as we would not want any of our friends and family to experience the poor service and treatment we have continued to receive here. If you are looking for good Thai food and great customer service, this restaurant is not for you. read more

Delicious food every time. Well, I usually get the green curry because that is my love. But I've tried one of the stir fries once and the pad thai is good too. The curry noodles are good just not my favorite thing. I've dined in several times, and done take-out for events with friends a few times. It's very easy to pick up a large order, they are good about it. (Ask to make sure you get chopsticks and stuff though.) I like the owner and the location is convenient. Lots of parking! Ordered for takeout on a Friday night. We got the Tom Kha, Pad Thai, and Thai Fried Rice. The girl on the phone was friendly. She didn't ask me the spice level on anything, and I realized she never asked my meat preference for the Tom Kha. Since I had chosen chicken for the other two dishes, she probably just assumed chicken, which is safe in my case. The spice level of everything turned out to be completely non-spicy. I'm fine with this, and I took a gamble by not being proactive about spice. But I would have preferred to have at least one dish with a little kick to it. The rice in the Thai Fried Rice was a little mushy. The Tom Kha soup was more tangy than sweet, but that may be a personal preference thing. The Pad Thai was good, but also didn't have as much flavor as I like in Thai food. Service was great over the phone, but when my husband went to pick up the order, there was no one to greet him. The restaurant was crazy busy (a Friday night around 7pm), but it took about 10 minutes to get our order. This by far is our favorite Thai place. We drive here at least once a month from Utah county just to eat here. They have amazing satay, and love love their drunken stir fry. The staff is super nice and this place knows how to serve perfectly cooked veggies, the crunchiness and freshness of their veggies... just plain wow. BEWARE: If there's one thing I can say about this place it's how they measure the spiciness of their food. Twice already that it happened to us that they messed up the level of spiciness that sometimes it's hard to taste or eat it... when you ask them to confirm why the food is too spicy they will go in the kitchen and check with the chef and say "oh it was originally level 1 but they put too many peppers" they do apologize which we appreciate but they will not replace it for the correct order. Lingering smiles from tonight's dinner! Spring rolls made with crisp leaf lettuce, a touch of arugula, enhanced by a perfect blend of cucumber and refreshing seasonings. In fact, I didn't use much of the delicious peanut sauce as I was savoring the harmonious taste within the actual spring rolls. The chicken cashew was tender and had the right amount of cashews. I am glad that I added the bamboo shoots. Next time I'll add pineapple to compliment the vegetables. Let me not forget the dumplings- perfection redefined! Although I was smittened with my delicious dinner it's was the mouth-watering coconut sticky rice and fresh mango that's imprinted a lingering smile on my lips. With such a rave review why not 5 stars? The chicken in the spring roll was sparce and the filling did not extend throughout the length of the roll. OH dear did this place earn all 5 stars. From the outside there isn't even a sign that is easy to see. Quietly sitting in a little strip mall you wouldn't expect how delicious this place is about to be! First the place is very clean, calm and relaxing. There were not many people there and the service was friendly and helpful. The waiter told me about this Thai dish they have which is from a certain part of Thailand. I wish I knew the name but apparently it's rare to find in Utah and they are the only ones that make it. It blew me away. Served with slow cooked beef, soft and hard noodles. It's amazing so give it a shot. Also only costs like 11 bucks which for that dish... I'd pay much more. Must try and I'll be back very soon. TLDR - Secret Thai dish is LIT! read more

The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. It was pretty quite inside. The foods just not as flavorful as I hoped. On my first visit I really enjoyed the Khao soi. I also ordered a side of veggies and was impressed by the portion size for only $3. However the vegetables were over steamed and didn't have any real flavor. I checked the reviews on this place before I went and I was so excited for a yummy Thai dinner! The spring rolls were good. Then the main course came and I loved that it had a TON of veggies, I dug in and the food tasted like soap! My husband got the drunken noodle with beef, and his noodles were WAY over cooked they were slimy and falling apart. Then he bit into the veggies and they were still frozen! WTF! My coworkers and I tried this place out. I got a Masamun pork curry lunch special. I was surprised at the amount of food. In addition to the curry and rice, they brought out two egg rolls and a tasty sweet chili sauce. The Masamun was creamy, flavorful, and had the right amount of spice for a spice-lightweight. Really, the food was pretty darn magnificent. It's among the best I've had in Salt Lake City. Everyone raves about Tea Rose (which is also very good); this is as good if not better, particularly at the price point. Cons: The service was slow, and it was quiet when we came in. It's a family-run restaurant getting on its feet, so I was prepared to be a lot more forgiving for the time (it was about an hour and 15 minutes from sitting down to getting up to leave). Plus, the chef, I believe it must be the mother, came out and checked on us at the end of the meal. I felt like I was part of their family. As for the ambiance, my coworker asked for some music, which they provided, and that made the experience all that more positive. read more
