I am not the biggest fan of Thai food, so I will not review the food heavily. However, many people seemed to love the food in my party. The service was OK -- She brought out my food last (probably 10 minutes after everyone else got their food), which was lukewarm by the time I was able to eat it. My water sat empty for a good chunk of the meal. When I first walked into this restaurant, it had a weird smell. The chair I sat on was dirty and I had to wipe it off. I will probably not be back here.

What was I doing not frequenting this gem of a Thai restaurant? It's so close to me, yet somehow I overlooked it. I love when a Thai spot allows you to pick your spice level, and found that the medium spice was perfect for me, as someone with a fairly high spice tolerance. We got the "undecided curry", which was a blend of pumpkin, avocado, and pineapple curries, and the Khao soi. The curry was incredible, and I devoured the leftovers. I really liked the spice to the Khao soi, but didn't love that it was served with completely uncooked noodles. I had to wait a bit before I could eat them so they weren't crunchy. I'm not sure if that's the traditional way of serving the dish, but the broth was rich and delicious. I can't end this review without mentioning the crab cheese wontons that absolutely rocked my world. Will definitely be back!

Great ambiance, good for a date. Service was great as well. Maybe it's just my preference but, I was a bit disappointed in the shrimp spring rolls. They were more like the size of a small burrito, which is fine, but the inside was filled 90% with lettuce than anything else. It had a VERY small amount of noodles and not enough shrimp in my opinion. I found the peanut sauce to be too think - you can't dip so you have to spoon it on. Wasn't crazy about the flavor of the peanut sauce either. The pad se-ew was a bit disappointing because it only comes with your chosen protein and just a bit of broccoli, not other veggies so it's kinda bland. The other flavors didn't make up for it either. The sea food stir-fry was very flavorful and delicious. I like that you can basically pick any dish and have it made your way. And you can ask for different spice levels. I was also disappointed to see that chili oils and spicy mixings were not an option like most that places I'm used to. You just get dry crushed pepper to add spice.

Adding a few more pics from my recent visit. I love Sawadee, so consistently delicious. I had never ordered the glass noodles, they are vegan and so good. I ate at the restaurant this time and absolutely loved the super kind staff and beautiful dining room. So homey and beautiful. A true fave to be sure.

We came here on a Saturday night to celebrate. The vibe was great! They had a live band playing which was really lovely to have as background music. The staff was very friendly and quick to answer our questions. The food was good. I wouldn't call it great sadly but it was good. Be warned the portion sizes are MASSIVE! One dish could easily feed 2-3 people we did not plan on that so we had way more than we needed. The pad Thai was decent but nothing special. The massaman was very mild and could have used more spice for flavoring. The other dishes I couldn't try because I'm gluten free but my family said they were good not great. The soda came in a bottle and wasn't a fountain which is a bummer to pay per bottle. The smoothies were delicious and they did well with the two children we had in our group. I would come back here again if a group wanted to but I also wouldn't seek it out. The staff was the best part about this place.

I love this restaurant. Their food is consistently good and the restaurant itself is clean, well designed, and simply a nice place to go with family or colleagues. Easily one of my favorite Thai restaurants in any of the states I've lived. The waiters and waitresses are always quick and friendly. No wonder this restaurant has won so many awards!

The service at Sawadee is very good. They were moderately busy, but nonetheless were very attentive of water refill and checked up on us frequently. We ordered the lunch special (S1 coconut soup and S6 panang curry) and the beef drunken models. The flavor of the panang curry was my favorite. It was very savory. The coconut soup was savory with a hint of sweet and lemon grass. Both had a good coconut flavor to them. The drunken noodles were very tasty. The restaurant is cute with the tables being textured and ample seating inside and outside. It wasn't noisy when we went. It was cool inside but not cold. I enjoyed my experience and this is one of the better Thai restaurants I've been to in recent memory

Walked in for a late lunch & was seated immediately. This restaurant is huuuuuge! I almost got lost trying to find the bathroom, lol. (But really though.) We ordered Deep Fried Tofu as an appetizer & it came with this peanut sauce that was bomb! Super yums! It was like a spicy peanut sauce *drool I ended up ordering the Pad See Ewe Tofu & it was yums. I like how the tofu was cooked - fried. You can't go wrong with fried tofu! I had leftovers so I was able to take it home & enjoy the next day for lunch. Our waitress was super attentive & friendly. The service was quick so we were in and out of there within an hour. I know what you're thinking - yes, they were busy but like I said at the beginning of this review - this restaurant is huge so even though there were a good amount of customers there, you don't feel like there is. This place was a good find - we love a good Thai restaurant :)

This place was a recommendation, and I do have to say it was well recommended. It looks very fancy and beautiful for date night. They had live music, which was impressive for a Thai restaurant. Great appetizer! The food was very delicious, and the portions are a good size! I just didn't like their Thai tea and the iced Thai coffee; they were a little bit watered down.

First timer at this restaurant that was highly recommended by a native! The food did not disappoint but fell flat in some areas. It was cold (well my version of cold) and soup was on my mind. I ordered the tofu soup. Though tofu often screams vegetarian there's pork that's usually added to this dish. I ordered the veggie option. The soup was good but lacked flavor. The noodles were also a bit difficult to capture so I would ask for a fork. The veggies were fresh and I didn't too much care for the tofu. It was too mushy and flavor less. My favorite part of my meal was the fried salmon with brown rice. I like anything with salmon so the item caught my eyes immediately. The sweet and sour sauce, there's a crunch effect and meat went well with the brown rice. I think white rice would have been a better compliment but I still enjoyed my food. For flavor add the sauce to the rice and enjoy! The restaurant was spacious, with lots of personality and our server was gracious. There's even an area to purchase snacks if one desired. There were several groups in the restaurant that evening but it wasn't noisy. If I am ever back in Utah, I'll stop by and try other dishes. Thank you for the warm hospitality

Food was delicious! Each dish was flavorful and tasted authentic. The Pad See Ewe and fried rice was my favorite! It tasted very fresh and the portions were also bigger than I expected!! Personally I felt like the pad thai was a bit on the soggier side, but still delicious! The restaurant is huge and spacious, with a lot of seating. They had a live band playing which I found very lovely and added to our dinner experience. The staff was also super friendly and kept coming back to make sure we were enjoying our time. Definitely will be coming back again :)

Been here once before & needed to try again! Friday & Saturdays they have live music which is really nice! the band was really good! The service is super fast and the food came out all within timely manner. We did find a bug crawling on the table and there was a hair in the rice. That was a little off putting! The food is tasty! The portions are pretty big so definitely share if you're not that hungry! The papaya salad is refreshing but the fish sauce smell can be overpowering! The Massaman sauce is delicious! i think i would go back for the curry!

I know this place has mixed reviews from what the local Utahns told me. Though, I came several times last year with kids, & with friends and each time service was great! Attentive, caring and able to answer any questions. Not pushy and a great vibe to the restaurant. Food was flavorful and for the price I was pretty impressed how much food we got.

If you have read any of my reviews, you know that I am a Thai food fanatic and I'm going to share a restaurant with you that I have a great passion for. When I travel through Salt Lake I actually schedule my flight so I can eat at Sara Thai Kitchen. Ohhhh mama. The Tom Yum is to die for. Deep flavor and just enough heat to make me get a good wave of heat from the tip of my toes to the top of my lip. Yup. And the presentation is lovely - a small chaffing dish with a fire under it so it's always bubbling hot. Also, do not pass up the lollipop chicken. It's my favorite starter- I have them box two and I eat one. The crab fried rice is Bkue fin crab- real deal. I swear they sprinkle some magic on it. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu- but be sure to finish off with mango sticky rice. It's the perfect ending to a perfect date. You can thank me later.
