The pad see ew was delicious! I asked for no carrots and they were accommodating. The only thing I wished was a little better was I asked for medium spice and it wasn't spicy at all. They give you these little spice packets, so you can make it spicy on your own but I do like when the food is actually cooked to a spicy level so it can be cooked in. There were a few tables inside and it was very clean if you wanted to eat in, but I'd probably say take out is the best bet. We are new to this area and we were looking for a great lunch after having our car serviced when a Google search turned up Thai Better. We decided to give it a try and what a nice surprise - the food was absolutely delicious! My husband had Wonton Soup with vegetables, while I had the Satay Peanut with tofu. Both dishes were great, and we were especially happy that my entree had great flavor with a kick to it, but not so much so that it was too spicy to enjoy. The mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea were also great. In addition, the restaurant decor is pleasant and it was spotless. You order at the counter, take a buzzer and return to pick up your food when it starts vibrating madly at your table. The food was really good-my dining partner and I had the Pad Thai and the fried rice as well as an order of fried tofu. I could do without the tofu next time, it lacked flavor and had a strange consistency. But the chicken and rice were fantastic! We love Thai and decided we'd better try this place out. I ordered the avocado curry, which is the Panang curry base with added avocado. My wife tried the garlic pepper stir fry with chicken. The avocado curry was delicious. It had a bit of a kick with such a good flavor and the avocado added creaminess. Unlike most Thai places, the curry had a lot of veggies, like carrots, broccoli, zucchini and peas. The portions were plentiful and the price was more affordable than other Thai place around. My wife's stir fry was also delicious. What she enjoyed was being able to choose veggies as a side instead of rice. For the healthy, carb-conscious crowd, this is a great option. The branding of this place is so cute. Located in a shopping center between the district and the Daybreak. Anchored by sprouts and planet fitness. So there's lots of parking. I have attached a picture of the menu, which was just a little bit confusing for me. Food took about 15-20 minutes and to come out. I got it to go. It was all still piping hot when I got home. What a GOOD surprise! My husband and I saw this place but didn't really want to go because it said food express and I was worried it was going to be like Panda Express or Cupbop! But it wasn't at all! Their food was DELICIOUS like if we were if a very good sit down Thai restaurant! The service was fast, they gave you little devices and it rings when it's ready. We waited maybe 8 min for the most flavorful green curry and spicy chicken. The portion of the curry was huge (we could almost split it for 2 and make it a lighter meal). The ambiance is really good, it wasn't crowded at all, there's cute art on the walls, it's clean and they have all you need at the tables and a station to get lemon water and utensils / bowls. 100% recommend! This was my first time eating at Thai Better. Seating is limited as there are 6 tables of 4 seats. The theme is cutesy and gimmicky. As you walk up to the counter to order, there are 4 screens with food options from rices, currys, noodles, appetizers, and dessert. I chose the orange chicken with white rice and an app of the crab cheese wontons. My order was ready in about 10 minutes. Food comes out in disposable containers. The food was hot and flavorful. I liked the wontons which were light and packed full. The chicken was not breaded like I had assumed, but was a good surprise. You can grab chopsticks or plastic utensils. There is a trash station to discard your food containers and return your tray. If you need a quick food spot and don't want to go to Panda, then check out Thai Better. Big disappointment. We need a great Thai place in this area. Tried two dishes. Chicken pad Thai and Thai fried rice. Both were just so bland. As another reviewer wrote, you have to spice your own. This is not the same as having a chef cook the seasoning into the food. So, don't bother requesting a spice level here. Yes, the presentation is very nice. Lots of theming and cutesy business going on. Lots of packaging waste. I'd much rather see the effort go into the flavor of the food. While it can boost the experience of delicious quality food, presentation, no matter how cute, cannot make up for mediocre food. I love yellow curry as a whole but it can often be too spicy for me. This yellow curry though !!! It is to DIE FOR!!! Mildly spicy, creamy and sooooo flavorful!! Perhaps my naivety surrounding Thai food caused me to be unaware that many of the dishes have egg in it. The descriptions didn't always say the dish included egg, even when it did.
