#24 -- with chicken, no bell peppers & no tomatoes, add bamboo & mushrooms
    Jami W.

Came here for a solo lunch on a rainy day while in town. This place is a staple-- So fresh, flavors are on point and the service is welcoming & prompt. I got #24 -- with chicken, no bell peppers & no tomatoes, add bamboo & mushrooms-- DELICIOUS! Highly recommend and will be back!

This is a quaint and tidy little Thai restaurant tucked into a strip mall just off 2100 S. I feel like it's the kind of place that likely has a bunch of regulars-maybe I'll become one of them! The menu is sizable, you'll likely find your favorite dish here. I enjoyed my Pad See Ew and had plenty for leftovers later. The services was welcoming but not obnoxious. Sara Thai Kitchen is a winner in my book.

Every time I'm in Salt Lake City I visit Sara Thai. Not sure why I didn't leave a review in the past. Very friendly staff greater me and always make me feel like I'm a regular even though I'm only in town once a year. It is a small shop that is well lite. I was here for dinner and ordered the chicken satay to start and Pad se eww for main course. The satay order is 4 large pieces of chicken covered in peanut sauce. It was delicious and only wish they provided more of the peanut sauce for dipping. Next up was the Pad Se Eww. I ordered with chicken. It was also delicious. Great Thai food experience.

Great Thai place- we always get the same dishes at all the Thai places to get a solid feel of the overall restaurant. Enjoyed trying a massaman that had braised beef shank in it, got the crab dumplings, and beef pad see ew. We're lucky to have a lot of Thai places around the valley and this is a nice addition to include in the list if you're looking for a spot in this part of SLC- Service and ambiance were 5 stars.

Ordered Massaman curry w/ chicken and pad see ew with chicken. The curry was DELICIOUS!! both dishes tasted great but the curry was better than I had at other thai restaurants. It was easy to place a takeout order, pick up and portions were good

Loved: - the hospitality- the staff were so warm and friendly! - the presentation- all the food was beautiful! - chili sauce- the crunch was so satisfying on everything, even though it wasn't super spicy - fresh papaya salad, sauce that came with the bbq pork, and gyoza - my husband loved the beef shank Massaman curry, as recommended by our server - easy parking in a lot behind the restaurant - it's not very loud, so we could easily have a conversation at a normal volume Could be better: - I craved spiciness and powerful flavors after this meal. They could take everything up a notch (or in the case of the peanut sauce, several notches- that really needed the chili sauce add-on). - there's a sign by the table about adding on a 3% fee for using a credit card, which is pretty tacky, especially given the prices. Just bake it into the prices and take away the sign- who's paying cash in 2025 for a $50-80 meal for 2?

I have been peeping out all the Chinese and Vietnamese joints while I'm SLC. Today, we decided to go Thai. This joint is just down the road from our Airbnb which is so nice! With such a high rating, we had to come check it out. The venue is bright and beautifully decorated. I love the splashes of Thailand through their decor. For a smaller venue, they had a good amount of seating. And it was so vibrant from the big windows. I love bright spaces. There was only one server working today so it did take a minute for her to get to us. Of course I did check out the online menu to see that they had. We started off with the crab dumplings and fried tofu. For lunch I got Rad Na with tofu. The crab dumplings and fried tofu came out first. They were both fried to perfection. The crab dumplings were creamy and savory in the middle with the perfect crunchy exterior. I did dip it in the same sauce for the fried tofu. I love the sweet and savory combo. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and so soft in the middle. Little triangles of goodness! They were both prepared perfectly! My Rad Na looked fantastic! You can see how fresh the gai lan is. There was a good amount of tofu. It came out pipping hot! I can tell it came straight from the wok! The gravy was savory. I added some chili oil to it and it was perfection! The noodles had a slight char to them and you can taste the smokiness from the char. Every bite of this dish was so tasty! As full as I was, I finished my plate. I can see why they have such a high ranking. Service wasn't all the best but man did they push out good food! From start to finish, everything was great! I'm happy I got to check this joint out during my stay here. I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon but if I do visit SLC again, it will be a must to have a meal here!

Consistently the top Thai places in SLC for me. Lots of attention paid to plating and design as well as the drool-worthy flavors and spices. The massaman is top notch and the pad Thai tantalizing.

So hungry and tired from the tour in SLC, Thai food will hit the spot. A nice relaxing Thai restaurant with private lot in the back of the building. Once arrived, we were greeting by the friendly staff. Since it was not crowded, she let us pick wherever we wanted to sit. I did liked the interior decor and the relaxing background music made you feel like at a spa. We ordered: Thai spring rolls Panaag curry BBQ pork The food was not that bad, but I really enjoyed the Panaag curry. I wished we would had ordered the Pad Thai though. A little nice convo with the waitress at the end.

super cute family run business! it was all of our first times here and we don't regret it! There's plenty of parking behind the establishment and the service was quick and efficient! Our server was super attentive and kind. Overall, we thought the food was pretty good! I'm not sure if we were able to adjust our spice level, but we wished the papaya salad had a little bit more spice to it (but let's be honest, not many things in SLC is THAT spicy...). The mango sticky rice was some of the better ones I've had here in Utah and it was a good balance of rice mango and coconut milk/sauce and the mangos were pretty ripe and not hard! overall super delicious and would recommend if ur looking for something to try in the sugar house neighborhood

I got the massaman curry level 3 spice with tofu and jasmine rice. It was pretty good, but it hurt my stomach and I was suspicious of their rice bowl (it didn't look like it was meant for food) so I'm not sure if I'd go back.

We had the Massaman Curry... soooo good! It has a cinnamon twist to it. Loved it

We had the Pad Thai... best we've ever had. The Satay as an appetizer... wonderful and the mango Sticky Rice... YUM!

One of the best khao sois ever!! And it was surprisingly found in Salt Lake City. The khao soi was rich and full of flavor. They were also really generous with the amount of chicken in it. The soup was liquid gold! Note that the khao soi is not on the menu. But you just have to ask for it. The service was on point. The lady with the short hair had a great attitude. Although she was dealing with 7 tables, she made sure to check up on us,

Disappointing Experience - Food Quality & Service…read more I've been to Mi La Cai Noodle House before, but unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I ordered the wonton soup, and the pork wontons did not taste right to me. I let the gentleman who was helping us know about the issue, and he told me, "Let me see with my manager what I can do for you." To be clear, I wasn't asking them to take the soup off my bill or give me anything for free. I simply wanted to see if they could provide a little more meat so I could finish my bowl. I thought that was a reasonable request, especially since I had already explained that the pork wontons didn't taste right. Unfortunately, the gentleman never came back to our table, and the manager never stopped by or spoke with us at all. We ended up paying the full bill, and no one even apologized or offered any kind of resolution. When the host later asked how everything was, I explained that the wonton soup wasn't as good as I expected. She simply said, "Oh, sorry." While I understand that mistakes happen, it felt like a very dismissive response, especially after we had already brought the issue to their attention. I honestly feel like the food quality at this restaurant has gone downhill. What disappointed me even more was the lack of customer service and follow-through. If a customer takes the time to politely bring up an issue, I would expect someone from management to at least come to the table and address it. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously because I used to have a much better impression of the food and service.

What an incredible dish. The slight spice and abundant flavor in every bite makes me want to go back just for that. Still recommend, but not quite as smooth as other Panang Curry we have frequented. The Khao Ka Moo and Yum Woon Sen provided some variety in the typical Thai Dishes and they were phenomenal as I attempted to broaden my Thai cuisine palate. The variety of food choices gave off an authentic experience when paired with the traditional Southeast Asian decor found around the walls and ceiling. I sat near a wood panel divider that separated us from the front door and it provided exceptional separation from the happenings at the front of the store despite us being rather closing to the register and door. The service was slower than expected but the house was packed and our original server was sent home after a burn from the kitchen so they were understaffed on an absolutely crazy Valentines Day night. The shredded potatoes were quickly blanched then stir fried preserving the crunch and crispness similar to al dente pasta. Seasoning was on point. The homiest flavor came from the stewed short rib. The rib pieces were braised in a soy and star anise sauce like what you find in Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The peels potatoes were cut rustically and just cooked through and not mushy. Authentic flavors and freshness like this is so so hard to come by. I can taste the quality of the ingredients used. One tip I have for selecting authentic food is by looking at the customers.
