A family owned and operated restaurant, that is sufficient in space with dining area and a small bar. Food is delicious. Hand made fresh to order. I had the fish and chips, that was well balanced in flavor and not too greasy from being fried. Service was great as the owner took my friends and I orders and took care to make sure each one was correct in preparation. Will definitely go back to try other options. read more

So I ordered online twice. Each time this happened: tonight I ordered a pizza for 8:15 online. I got the responses below. It will be ready around 830. Why was my pizza ready by 8:05? And furthermore, when they called asking where I was and I said "y'all told me 825pm on the text messages. So I had planned to show up at 8:25pm. Why did you make it at 805 but tell me 820? This is the second time and its ridiculous." I figured I had 40 minutes to run a quick errand and make it to the shop, and I made it right around the time I was planning. The owner did not like me saying his online ordering system was ridiculous and that putting the blame for the lateness on the customer was wrong, that he should own up to the mistake because it is HIS system that HE pays for or he set up. The owner got so angry and threw a temper tantrum saying he didn't text anyone and didn't know what I was talking about. Pretending he doesn't know online orders work nor that the system gives an expected ready by time. He told me it was my fault because I wanted it at a certain time... even though the restaurant tells you when the food will be ready... And he was shaking and slamming stuff. I was worried he was going to get violent over me having an issue with the online ordering service. Thank you to the young man who was level headed trying to calm him down. But I don't think I could ever feel comfortable having that old man make any food for me. I don't think I could trust it after seeing how full of rage he is. (This is my opinion, sentiment, and it's pure speculation. Take it with a grain of salt) It's a little sad, because the food is actually alright, if a bit overpriced. It's a great place to eat if you don't have any issues at all or are willing to not broach them with the owner. read more

Thinking more of a 3.5 ... good pizza and very good hoagie. Wings were quite meh; last one was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. Ordering online is confusing if for nothing else, the Italian hoagie I ordered would cost $10 for chips instead of $8. Odd. The location I think is a little different now; it looks like it was closer to iThaiz but it's all the way down and around the side. Ordered the version of calazone has spinach and barely any sausage. It was not good at all I fed it to my dog. I also order bacon cheese fries extra crispy, they weee great and the wind cooked well done. The Stromboli I never thought I could order a bad one my back up plan. So disappointing the sauce so bland also. Overall what a terrible first time experience! I had it delivered from uber eats. read more

The Nuccio's Special pizza is exceptionally good, with generous toppings and crust not too thick or thin. My only suggestion is to put a sign on the door of the old location to tell customers it's moved into the Al Dente restaurant around the corner. I had a shock when I went to fetch the pizza I'd ordered and paid for online and they were GONE. Fortunately, my phone's GPS found them. read more

I picked up a pizza and mozzarella sticks. I loved that they had real mushrooms as an option! We got the New York style with mushrooms and basil. I really like the crust on the mozzarella sticks too and I inhaled the marinara that it came with. read more

Passed this tiny joint a million times because it has no curb appeal. In truth it looks kinda sketchy. My mistake. I got a medium cheese pizza and a small Greek salad for less than $20. Granted those two items are pretty hard to mess up but I was pleasantly surprised. It was plenty for two. The salad was fresh and the pizza had a great flavor. Don't let the tiny store front next to a convenient store/gas station fool you. The food here is pretty decent for a quick pick up. Wish I had more than 1 napkin in my takeout bag, so make sure to grab some on your way out. The fries are nicely salted and perfect for dipping. I'm not a huge red sauce fan but liked the marinara with the calamari and placed on the eggplant parmigiana sub. The daily special price for a sub and fries is less than $6! There are only 2 chairs with a table when you walk in so don't expect to be dinning in. Overall you get what you paid for and it's a convincing quick pick up on a lunch EDIT: So that night I ended up finding out that I got food poisoning. Probably the calamari. Every other meal I ate with other people, so I can only assume the meal I bought from here is where it derived from, unfortunately. Ordered take out while in town on business. I ordered the New York style pizza. Having lived in NYC I should have known better. The crust was fluffy, hardly any sauce, and the cheese tasted salty and like plastic like it came from a preprocessed bag. I'm sure everything came from a can or a frozen source. My bet is that the rest of the food is more of the same. read more

I ordered from here ONE time years ago before moving away. Upon moving back let's just say I ordered from every Pizza place in the area until I found this place again! I loooove the pizza here, they have accommodated everything I've needed (yes, I too have wacky pizza orders ) but the owner has never let me down. Ima regular here now and the ONLY time I've had an issue, (ordered a meat lovers for my guests and received a pepperoni pizza) we called a day later and they didn't hesitate or interrogate before making things right. Hands down!! This is the best Italiano/pizza place in Richmond. I've lived in RVA for four years and I've never had anything close to NYC style pizza/Italian as this. I'm born and raised in the Bronx and frequented little Italy as a kid growing up. Nuccio's is by far one of the best pizzerias in VA. The owner is from Italy and puts his all into this company. I had a horrible experience. Bad business practices! I went in and ordered a pizza and was told it would take 20-30 minutes because they just opened and we're just turning on the oven. Over an hour people continued to come in and they continued to take orders. They came out numerous times telling me my pizza was. "In the oven". I heard the manager tell one customer they had been "having problems" all week with their oven. Finally 1 1/12 hours later the manager told me it would be another hour because the oven wasn't working right. I left. I understand having equipment problems. The things that got me were that they weren't honest and the whole time the only 2 seats in their small very hot lobby were occupied by 2 of their teenage employees playing on their phones. Just bad business. They should have closed and fixed their oven or stopped taking oven orders. read more

You really can't beat the prices here. My favorite is the Nuccios chicken salad. It comes with both a honey mustard and a vinaigrette and when you mix them together something magical happens! Do it! Repulsive, my husband and I got the spaghetti specials one with sausage and one with meatballs, both with meat sauce. The sauce was grossly sweet and tastes like hunts ketchup. The meatball was cut in half and did not resemble meat. The meat sauce was very cheap ground beef on top of noodles and ketchup sauce poured on top. The salad was 80% onions and the fries ravioli were hard as rocks. We literally took a few bites and had to throw it all out. Worst "Italian" or food in general that I've ever had. read more
