First time trying Rapid Pizza.... To try to make this short, came to Richmond to visit family. Driving down from the DC area, traffic was egregious on Friday. My sister and her husband have been talking about Rapid more times than and I can't count. My wife and I being foodies we love local spots that are loved and have great food. It pains me to say that our experience was not at all great. Ordered Pepperoni for the kids, RVA BBQ pizza for us and their 20pc Thai chili wings. Pizzas were good, slightly soggy but hey we can throw it in the oven again, no biggie. The wings... phenomenal flavor wise, but then my second wing there's hair. Like short Bob length hair. I tried to not make a fuss because I knew it would ruin everyone's appetite. Then my second wing... SAME THING... then I look through the rest of the container and two more wings had hair wrapped into the wings. I get it things happen... The lack of professionalism and customer service was unbearable. My Brother in law orders often, they damn near should know how to deliver without GPS. Just to paint a picture of how often they order from here. Not only was there never a apology immediately, which is something your taught in F&B or retail when there's an issue but to say that nobody works there with hair so you don't know how it got in there is beyond crazy. To ADD the icing on the cake... they sent a driver to come and pick up the rest of the wings after a refund. I've never witnessed anything like that in my entire 38yrs of life. Are they going to repurpose the wings? So many more questions that we don't even want answers to. This was a first and last time try for us, and a good amount of others to follow that eat with us and take our food reviews highly. This was unacceptable for such an easy fix. They really compounded the issue beyond the hairballs that we didn't order as appetizers. read more

Got delivery. Food was hot when delivered. Portions were large. The garlic knots would have been wonderful but were burned and not very soft. Lasagna was good. The baked ziti was better than the lasagna. Cheesy and saucy. read more

I usually get a steak and cheese sub at Rapid Pizza and they're always delicious but I won't get any more because today I spent a lot of money getting a sub and fries and a drink and it was delivered and it looked like all it had was meat and cheese lumped all together they had no taste of onions no taste of the jalapeño peppers and was missing the lettuce I guess I'll start going back to Jersey Mike's. read more

Stopped by here for dinner to go. I'm very busy these days and needed something quick but not fast food burger places. Thought I'd give rapid Pizza a try. I ordered a small vegetable pizza and it was ready upon arrival. That was great! As you can see from the photos, looking at the pizza it looks absolutely delicious. The pizza was cooked to perfection. The crust was delicious with a small hint of garlic which was great. it was lacking a little flavor maybe in the sauce, I'm not sure. Otherwise it was really good. this restaurant is close to my main job so I could see ordering from here for lunch and for a quick take-home dinner. I will eat here again. OMG you have to have a very casual pizza here. It's amazing. Don't put you're fancy clothes on, bring anyone you want to impress but not look like your impressing. From the outside you might think this is some wanna be Pizza Hut. Once you get in you will be over whelmed by the home cooked pizzas and friendly environment. Even when they are slammed busy, you are part of the family. They are hidden behind a north side village and surrounded by first time business's, a church and Adult activity center. How do they get their sauce so perfectly balanced?! Your Nonna would be proud!! It came with a fresh crisp salad, no, not just lettuce and tomatoes! And out of this world garlic rolls. We also ordered the tortellini alfredo. Amazing! Light cream sauce, delicately seasoned-not too soupy or too cheesy, just right. My husband often orders the calzones, which are HUMONGOUS... and he raves about them! Bring your appetite! He's Italian, so he knows good Italian food!! After a long while we decided to give Rapid another try because they used to be delicious. Shouldn't have. We ordered two medium pizzas and calamari. The calamari was ok. One pizza had all of the toppings slid to one side and as much as I tried to get the toppings back on it was not edible. The other pizza tasted like an entire salt shaker had been dropped on it. Called the restaurant and they said they had to come to pick up the pizza and could then bring us more food. What???! They are picking up the pizzas so I can get a refund. Ridiculous. Never again. Delish! Came across this on Yelp! My husband and I wanted to get a pizza, mainly me, in remembrance of a close friend that I had just lost. One of her favorite pizza is the Hawaiian pizza. So I ordered the 16" with a side of Boom Boom chicken wings-in case my husband wanted something other than a pizza. I ordered it for the first time through the Yelp App and it wasn't too bad. It was pretty easy and fast. Although the order would be done in 40 mins we weren't really in a rush (I ordered a pick up). I will say that it was a very cute joint and when we got home to eat, the food looked delish and tasted great too! My husband even mentioned how the wings looked really good compared to some other chain restaurants. The chicken was crisp and savoring and the pizza was just great. I'd seen another review on here saying that the spaghetti was great, so I figured why not! I was soooo happy with my meal! I happily sat down and devoured it while watching the Emmy's. It came with some great garlic bread and a pretty good looking salad. My favorite thing about it was that they did not go easy on the cheese! My husband and I shared a greek salad with delicious house dressing, and the light but crispy dinner rolls were yummy too, and the wings were plump and juicy and savory!! Could have stopped there, but we had ordered pizza too! We got one large pizza and was able to have a different specialty pizza on each half!! Loaded with tasty toppings, and they got all of the customizations right!! And the Limoncello cake was a great light treat for dessert. As many other reviews have suggested, I needed to try the Buffalo chicken pizza. I ordered at 6:20 and my door bell rang at 6:51. Impressive. On to the food...the 10" pizza is certainly enough for two servings. There was a generous portions of toppings. My only complaint was the pizza was on the greasy/oily side and was definitely heavy on the salt. I also ordered a chicken Philly sub. It was an 8" sub that was really delicious. Again, very generous portions and we'll put together. In total after delivery and tip it was $22. Enough door for 4-5 servings. Great value for money and perfect for a late night craving. read more

***UPDATE*** Edited the same night just an hour later... Just right b4 11pm I saw that I missed a call from a local area code and figured it was Rapid Pizza. Well guess what? The manager called me back! Super kudos. He was polite, never raised his voice &honestly sounded like he had a long day, despite almost perfectly masking. He humbly apologized and explained that they were short staff &that the ladys answering the phone are still quite new &are still getting acclimated to the standard of Rapid pizza. He was careful to say he is not making an excuse for bad service but was sorry &wanted to assure me that this is not their standard; today was an off day. I want to give credit &am thankful for the polite manager. He definitely remedied the situation & gave us half off, plus any desert of our liking. We chose chocolate cake: a driver was sent right over to give us not 1 but 2 slices of chocolate cake & a tiramisu. I really enjoyed my cake. the person who ate the tiramisu thought it was very good. It was really pretty too. They ate it so fast i couldn't take a picture. So rapid pizza thank you. I really appreciate how the situation was solved; also im going to take the time to list the good things: Specifically for me I can not eat any milk products and ordered custom items & the kitchen did it accurately. After speaking to the manager we were informed that the dressings are not creme based. The manager was very polite &professional with solving the issues -that speaks volumes to their business. Also everyone from the lady's who answered the phone to each delivery driver was very polite. In being so upset/hungry I totally forgot to list the good & they were worth mentioning. I apologize and am sorry. I am very confident that w/ a little refresher training the employees will mirror the excellence of their manager. As usual, great food! I had lunch with coworkers today, so that made it even better. I tried the Chicken Philly without the dressing today with a side of fries. The lunch specials are wonderfully affordable. I couldn't resist not getting a slice of pizza, so halfway through my sub, I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and packed up the remainder of my sub. My favorite thing about lunch today was my water. It was fresh and void of any aftertastes. Loved the service. There is nothing to say but "WOW". I have HAD to be gluten free for four years now and sometimes I have to settle while others enjoy. NOT TONIGHT! This was the best gf pizza i have ever had. In truth, that was a bad description. This was an awesome thin crust Italian pizza. It hit all the marks. The interior of the restaurant is simple, reminiscent of a New York pizzeria. But the pizzas were just like we have had in Italy. The toppings were fresh. The dough was great. And the breakfast pizza tomorrow will be something to look forward to.
