Seeing Nuestro Sabor move into the old Chinese restaurant building was a welcome change for the neighborhood. They have truly revitalized the space at 203 Smith St, turning it into a vibrant spot that feels fresh and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. Starting things off with the chips and salsa is an absolute must. While it is important to note that they cost $5.00 after the first serving, the quality makes it well worth the price. The chips are perfectly crisp, and the salsa has that authentic, homemade flavor that sets the tone for the rest of the meal. If you like a bit of a kick, you have to try their hot sauce. It is genuinely delicious and packed with a complex heat that enhances everything it touches. It isn't just about the spice; the flavor profile is deep and adds a perfect layer of zing to the entire dining experience. For my main course, I went with the chimichanga, and it did not disappoint. The exterior was fried to a perfect golden-brown crunch, while the inside remained incredibly flavorful and juicy. In a nearly empty dining room with a nearly empty bar, we waited an hour for four simple tacos before we left at a quarter to one in the afternoon. If you can't handle takeout and in-house dining, don't do both. Aside from stale chips and salsa that was reminiscent of V8 if you strained it, no clue what the food is like. We left two dollars on the table for the chips and left to get food in Eugene. The sweetheart server asked if we were okay as we were leaving as though our departure was a shock. We won't bother coming back and certainly won't encourage others to. read more

Great family, food and, really need to get into a building and take it to the next level

We went there once and have craved it ever since! From the sauces to the meats and everything in between, this truly is the best Mexican food with 25-30 miles, easy!! Try their spicy guac, it's absolute fire. The asada in my burrito was tender and packed with flavor! My wife got the chicken tacos and the meat, like the asada, was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Will be making this place our spot every time we crave Mexican food. Fairly priced and awesome service, as well. read more

When I opened my container and saw the 6 beautiful hard shell al pastor tacos with cojita cheese, I'm delighted to see this delicious cheese scattered across my food. I'm instantly transported to warm nights in Cholla Bay, Mexico. My husband and I eat here many times a week because it's consistently good quality food that just hits the spot when you're hungry. The people behind the counter are just wonderful. My husband always gets the bacon breakfast burrito and I'm working my way through the menu slowly, I sometimes can't help but going back to some of my favorites. The salsa is homemade and so good. They have a spicy version that actually is hot which is rare around these parts. If you're lucky and early enough you might snag a hot tamale that is so perfectly flavored. I'm from the south west and this is the kind of food I grew up on so it's my comfort food. My husband and I always are so thankful to have moved to this small town and have such an amazing restaurant just down the street. I hope they stay there and we are trying to help as much as possible to help out in this wonderful town full of wonderful food. read more

We stopped here on the way home from a road trip. We went out of our way because of the reviews and we were so glad we did! The food is so authentic, fresh and flavorful!!! I lived in San Diego most my life and have found that most Mexican food in Oregon lacks the flavor I'm used to and love. Not Nuestro Sabor. We live 30 minutes away and will gladly drive 1 hour round trip for their food. Also, the service is exceptional. The ladies that work here are so friendly and kind. Excellent chilaquiles! The food counter is on one side of a market, so you won't see much from the outside. There is a small seating area, just 3 tables, and it's very simple. The salsas were great, too. Friendly service. Would definitely stop here again! read more
